Love it! If you don't want to see the seam on the inside of the hood you could cut out 2 more pieces of the hood pattern and self line it. Also helpful if you're using a jersey fleece and don't want the fuzzy side catching your hair.
Hoorayy a Katie video, it's always a good day when you upload a new one. It's spring for me now but the days are still cool enough to warrant me making one of these 😊 Also watch Catherine Sews for her nifty way of handling the overlocker fiddly ends.
Use your twin needle for the hem along the sides, hood, and the bottom. It would finish it off nicely with stretch and you wouldn't have to be cautious of the cutting blade on the serger. Just my suggestion. I like the hoodie though. Looks comfy.
Do i want one V do I need one is a great game, unfortunately I can always swing it to the need side, i also relate so hard to losing all the pieces of a project just as i need them despite not having moved at all…. ADHD joys! , thanks for this some really useful tips and a cool shirt xxx
You seem more disciplined than me..I tend to swing more toward the 'want' side to get that sweet, sweet dopamine hit. Self control has not been my strong suit 🤣
I can completely understand! If you wanted to try it before using your jersey fabric, maybe try a cheap jersey bedsheet. They make great practice fabrics and sometimes turn out so well you can wear them in public!
Good job. It looks very comfy! I think on knits you need to zigzag or lightning stitch if you don’t have a twin needle. But I love using a twin needle.
Love this. I’m with you, a darker color on the wrong side would’ve been nice. In lieu of that, I’d just cut out two hoods and sew them wrong sides together. Then you don’t have to look at the white part. Good video!
Was not prepared, fully, to see my nemesis the house centipede displayed larger than life. I too am not bothered by most insects, spiders, bees, etc. However, those give me the heebie jeebies. For reals.
@@KatieMakesStuff That's scary! My first experience was one running across my hand on the floor. I was sitting in the dark as a child watching tv. My mom had the cleanest house you'll ever see, but I've learned they're just part of a house's ecosystem, like spiders. They help control pests. Doesn't keep me from shuddering whenever I see one though.
Your cat! So cute. I like the hoodie too
He is a pretty handsome boy!

That's actually a great idea and I'm kicking myself for not thinking of it! Plus, it would help the hood sit a little better with the extra weight.
That’s fantastic. thank you.

HA! It was camouflaged! 😆
Also I now NEED to make a voodoo pin doll
I made it and filled it with scraps!
@@KatieMakesStuff Brilliant!
Love this! Thanks for the inspiration. Not a mess, very helpful. Love your suggestion to stitch down serged edges so they can be less annoying. ❤
Glad it was helpful!

@@KatieMakesStuff oh no! That’s what I mean, I can easily make myself believe a want is a need! Zero possibility of minimalism here xx
I love the front fancy bit you did! I have 4 yards of jersey that I'm too scared to use just yet 🤣

Cute! I like the way you finished the front and the rounded back.
Thank you! 😊

I used twin needles for a project but I think my thread got caught on something and they broke 😩 scared me a little!

That is so cute!
Aww thank you!
Camo is cute for fall!
I think so too!
Very nice ❤
Thank you!

I had an apartment that was owned by a pack of house centipedes. They would mock me from the corners of the bedroom. 🤢
