The lead singer is Freddie Mercury… He’s been voted Best Vocalist/Best Front Man in Rock Music. Freddie also has a college degree in art/design… He designed the Queen band’s famous crest artwork. Freddie had a four to five octave vocal range and also recorded an album of OPERA.
Lead guitarist is Brian May (Sir Brian May, now - he was recently Knighted by King Charles) …He has been voted Best Guitarist of All Time. Brian is also a GENIUS (He has an IQ of over-180) …He’s also an Astrophysicist and has done work w NASA. Brian built his own guitar when he was a teenager, out of old bits & pieces around his parents’ home (he calls the guitar “the Red Special”). Brian plays electric & acoustic guitars, piano & keyboards AND the harp.
Bass player is John Deacon… John also has a degree in electrical engineering; he designed/built a one-of-a-kind amp system for the band that gives them a special sound. (NO ONE else has ever been able to figure out how to copy his amp system design!) John plays bass guitar, keyboards AND cello/string bass.
Drummer is Roger Taylor… Roger also has a medical degree. He also has his OWN band (called The Cross) where he plays lead guitar.
EACH of the band members has been put in the Hall of Fame separately for writing Number 1 hit songs.
Queen is a British rock band that was formed in 1970 and was comprised of:
Freddie Mercury - Lead vocals and piano
Roger Taylor - Drummer and vocals
Brian May - Lead guitar and vocals
John Deacon - Bass guitar
Queen released 15 studio albums, 10 live albums, 16 compilation albums, two soundtrack albums, 2 extended plays, 73 singles, and seven promotional singles. They were one of the most influential groups in rock history.

Queen is the band. Freddie is the Frontman, lead singer and piano (he only plays guitar on this one song). Brian is the guitar, John bass guitar and Roger Drums. All four members write songs and all have had number 1 hits. I love this performance, I have seen in more times than I can possibly count and saw it on TV as it was happening on that day in 1985. The greatest 20 minutes in music history. Thank you for doing a chill reaction rather than pausing and screaming as so many do. I watched it live, because I'm effing old. Happy to see that good music brings joy through generations. (Oh the band is Queen, they all wrote the songs, and, although Queen are still going, he has long since departed (sadly dying in 91)). If you like it, there is a concert at Wembley in 86 that is even more at the peak of their powers.

They have so many hits i know you will like, Now you should explore queen and you will be amazed how different many songs are, But great.
Freddie had a bad throat and was told by the doctor not to sing. However Queen appeared at Live Aid and smashed it. All acts were given a 15-20 minute slot and if they went over they were cut off. However, Queen ended dead on time. Freddie was the best band frontman ever and sounded just as good live as he did on the studio versions. The whole band were brilliant in their own way and all wrote a number 1 song.

Not only was queen popular back in day but there popularity is even bigger know and is growing day by day as the younger generation discovers queen there popularity know is through the roof. Queens music is timeless and freddie there will never be another Freddie mercury. He is a rock legend

There were so many great bands at live aid they all knew queen stole the show. Without question this was the greatest set in rock history. Queen made rock history with this performance.
