Will never forget hearing the people body’s hitting the ground trying to get out on the tv. Was in the 5th grade. Didn’t understand much. But knew this was not ok.

We had a training mission that same day and moved all our fighter jets out West. On any normal day they would have blown those planes out of the sky, sacrificing the passengers for the towers. This was all an inside job to get us into war. Completely disgusting! RIP to all those who passed!❤

I came across your video randomly and I wanted to suggest a possible video for you to watch on your own time, not necessarily to do a review on... but you could ask a few deeper questions in a follow-up post if you find it interesting.... it's definitely relevant to the subject of this video. It's called 9/11: The Falling Man.... it was made in 2006 and explains those events in an almost minute by minute coverage like the timestamps on this video.... but the title is from people deliberately jumping to their deaths instead of dying in the fires or collapse... and one man in particular they caught mid fall in a still shot... it's a hard movie to sit through, but worth it if this is a subject you want to learn more about.

I watched the tragedy live in my 3rd grade class. That same day the teacher told us all to write letters to the families of those who were killed.

I remember the front page of the Union Tribune had the picture of that man jumping out head first with his hands behind his back. I was mortified of the thought of these people jumping 70 stories to their death 😭😭😭

On September 11, 2001, the day began as a typical school day for most of us. Unaware of the unfolding events in New York, we were later glued to the television with our families, witnessing the tragic events with profound sadness and shock.

As a 70 year old woman, it is easy to overlook that someone age 20 won't know much more than 10 years of recent history. Very young children don't look much beyond their home, their school, and their neighborhood. It can take time to grow an interest in the larger world. One thing I discovered as the decades rolled by, that real history is far more exciting than what we are taught in schools. Especially when you discover that they left out all the juicy bits.

Where I worked at that time, typically we had analysts on those planes. I checked all itineraries & none of my colleagues were on them that day. After I did that, I just wanted to get my kids at daycare. They wouldn’t let us leave right away. 20 miles west of Boston & we were a Global Information Techology Company.

I understand what you mean about relationships. I am a 55 yr. old hispanic male. I have ONLY been with one woman who was my wife. We were married 15 yrs. and together 20 yrs. All of those yrs together, and i thought i really knew her, because we had talked about getting old together. I was only fooling myself, because the last 1-2 yrs she was fooling around. The whole time we were together she knew that i had been seduced by 5 different women. One of them was her aunt, and another was her sister. I declined them all,because i loved her,and i feared The Lord. Anyway, we landed up divorcing, because I loved The Lord,and she loved money & affairs more than The Lord. It REALLY hurts when you are truly faithful, and she isn't. Each time i was seduced i told her immediately to show her that my marriage to her was the only thing that meant anything to me, so i understand the tears in your eyes. Guard your heart!!!

Just reading the comments is making me cry. I was in 6th grade. I remember the teacher putting the news on in the classroom (in oregon) then we all had to get back to our schoolwork.

Such a tragic day, 9/11, but the next day... Our nation was united as Americans. We need to get back to that, without the tragedy. Note: while the events of that day were reported to be a terrorist attack and there are many who do not believe it was. Some have provided interesting theories and what they believe to be evidence that it was actually our own government behind the attacks.

Every couple generations, a major tragedy hits us. Every time, it leaves such a lasting impression on those generations that we know exactly where we were and what we were doing when we heard (I was running a gas station; I left the store open and we all gathered in the parking lot to listen on a customers truck radio. People left cash on the counter for their own transactions, everyone was honorable because we were a united people that day, even in a city of over half million). Wall Street crash, JFK, 9/11. Single events that rocked the entire country. Every time, there's conspiracy around them. Insider trading, 2nd man, jet fuel melting steel, etc. I hate to say it, but.... we are overdue for the next generational trauma. Since current generations, thanks to the internet sharing them, yall have a lot of small traumas and we're getting callous to them.. the next one will be bigger than the 3 I mentioned.

I was getting ready for work & watched this LIVE on TV.... You can't imagine people were jumping from the buildings, there was a daycare in 1 building, there were prego wives who gave birth on the day the dads died, hundreds of first responders died.... Horrific. And the terrorists threw PARTIES & were DANCING in their streets screaming "Death to America!"

This horrible day is something people should never forget, and younger generations need to understand a few things about what happened. I was in my early 30's on 9/11 and I watched all day from the moment the first plane hit. It was surreal. What unfolded that morning caused great loss of life, what happened in the hours, days , and weeks afterwards brought together an entire country that stood in unity, politics, race, gender, all those things were put aside and the country came together like I had never seen in my lifetime. In the years that followed all that that came apart...there is no longer unity, politics is uglier than it's ever been, and people are at each others throats constantly.

I appreciate the throwback to 9/11 as it was such an impactful, tragic attack on our country. However, it does bother me that the girls watching it barely showed any emotion. Yes, they both said it was tragic, but its almost like they didn't realize just how bad it really was, or forgetting that those buildings were full of people... I was 10 years old when this happened and it still haunts me...

Your didn't cover the dozens of jumpers/fallers from the building. It got so hot that survival instincts made people leap to their deaths. It was caught on camera. Some used curtains as parachutes, but it never worked. There are recordings of the thuds as the bodies hit the ground. You can't experience this unless you now about this.

I’m so proud of you girls for sitting down and watching this! I think it is so important for the younger generation to be aware of these huge events that changed America forever!!!!

I commend you for trying to learn about this horrible event. I do have to agree with others that this was a very lightweight video. There is far more impactful footage available. The Jules Naudette footage is incredible. You may also be interested in 2 videos about the aftermath. One is "9/11 Boatlift" The other is "Come From Away" about hundreds of airplane passengers who were diverted to, & cared for, in Newfoundland on that day.

I was 8 when this happened but i remember our school gettign canceled an watching this on the news with my mom. That morning before this happened was strangwly silent. Aftwerwards you couldnt go anywherre without seeing people crying. It was so so sad. I like by a air force and remember seeing jets leaving about 1 hour after the second tower fell

It was the most horrible experience so sad.

Even all these years later and the footage takes my breath away. I remember watching the towers fall at school.

I was 30 years old on 9/11, but this event stole my innocence. I had never thought about being at risk in my homeland. The World changed after 9/11 & it can't ever go back. 💔

My granddaughter is genz AND she knows what 9-11 was about. She knows because I told her..she wasnt even born yet, but I remember where I was and what I was doing that day. For me the worse was seeing people jump out the building to escape the fire. I'll never forget that. But I'm sure its not only genz who dont know about 9-11 tho.

And now these desert storm troopers are now burning our flag because this country has turned to pansies.

This will never make sense to me. They killed themselves and innocent bystanders. Just like every current war happening to this day. As humans, we are better than this.
