I've not had much time at all for the Tube the last few months for personal reasons as well, either watching or sharing. Any of us who have done this for any length of time can see where you're coming from. For what it's worth, we still all respect you and appreciate the work you've put in not only in your videos but your organizing the online meetings a couple years ago. Thank you for your friendship, and for being a heck of a good guy to us all.
Harold, tough call but it's yours to make. I really enjoyed the ARW discussion that I took part in. It was a great idea and although hard to sustain, it was a worthwhile enterprise. I always enjoyed the jokes and the insight into what you do around the shop. Stats and viewer counts are not everything. I often quote you regarding the discussion we had about monetising videos. "Once you start charging money, it becomes a job and not a hobby". I, like you enjoy my hobby and I don't want it to get overtaken by the need to make a lot of money from what I enjoy. Amen Chuck. Last week Phil (almost machining) & I were talking about our channels. We both agreed it never was about becoming rich from YT, but to share and build friends. I know I will be keeping in contact via emails & text's with Harold to give him my personal support and prayers. My sudden bout with a killer type cancer, has sure changed my thinking and way of life for sure. But the YT community of friends (over my short 4 years as a creator) that have be like family during life changing events are priceless. Harold your always a stand up guy. I will miss your videos for sure. I enjoyed your videos immensely and your the reason I have a fully stocked shop in my back yard. Will definitely keep in touch. Well Bruno they videos were fun for a long time. Now that I am not as healthy as before I find that they are no longer fun to do. And I have fallen to the questionable habit of doing nothing much but review videos and I worry about even the products that seem to be good tools. What I am hoping for is to finish the lathe painting and reassembly. I have purchased supplies to do just that. I want to resume all of my previous activities but the current hot spell is making me afraid to try that. Thanks for being a friend and viewing my videos.

Flamingo Hights we eat at times and in one of our video shows at the Hero's Market and restaurant in your section of the vast desert. I understand, I haven't published a video in almost 6 months due to health issues and you get out of the habit. It is hard to start up again. Hope you check in once in a while. Your worth isn't measured in views or subs. I too found I never got the traction to really keep me going. But at the time, I felt I needed another oar in the water and it was fun. Took a number of years off while I advanced in a different line of work. I still make a video now and again and always want to make more. There is something pleasing about adding to the knowledge and experience available in the world. A little impact that lasts past yourself long into the lives of others. Imagine how many people never got to touch as many as you have. You've made a huge circle of friends also. I pray for your full recovery to include a new bright spirit looking forward and to meet you in eternity. But not too soon! Now go make some chips!
I think you're too hard on yourself for the numbers Harold. You always looked to me like you were having fun and that was inspirational for me. I think you could look at a different set of metrics (less scientific) and call this channel a wild success. You met a lot of great people and made a lot of people smile. You're a winner!
If all Harold wants is views then he has to post AI generated cartoons. Or maybe let's play videos? Perhaps take a page from MrBeast and upload in different languages?
Hi Harold. I know how it is. Aftrer you've done YT for a long time, you get to a point (or several points) where you need to take a break. You also reconsider is it worth the effort, do people appreciate the effort that goes into this, and any health problems compound the issue. Been there with all those points and the main one that makes a deciding difference is whether or not you get any pleasure out of shooting video and hopefully informing and helping people. I never worry about viewer or subscriber counts. If I did then the channel would be promoted on other social media platforms, but it's not. So take a break, relax and put the feet up. Some measure success on youtube by dollars, views or subscribers. I don't. RUclips can go and Fk itself for all I care. I maintain a channel for me and no one else. I've met new people and formed some great friendships because of the channel. That's what matters to me. I expect I will never make a dime from youtube and I don't want their dirty money anyways! @@tralfazy Hi yes fellow RUclips creator who loves animals like us cats mostly, we live across from the Yucca Valley Airport (newly repaved runway looks great. Flamingo Hights we eat at times and in one of our video shows at the Hero's Market and restaurant in your section of the vast desert. No we did not we are too busy making parts but hope to return someday, we miss making and sharing our efforts here. Thank you and we will so miss Harold being the wise owl with ending comedy endings in his videos.

Hope you check in once in a while. Your worth isn't measured in views or subs. I too found I never got the traction to really keep me going. But at the time, I felt I needed another oar in the water and it was fun. Took a number of years off while I advanced in a different line of work. I still make a video now and again and always want to make more. There is something pleasing about adding to the knowledge and experience available in the world. A little impact that lasts past yourself long into the lives of others. Imagine how many people never got to touch as many as you have. You've made a huge circle of friends also. I pray for your full recovery to include a new bright spirit looking forward and to meet you in eternity. But not too soon! Now go make some chips!

I think you're too hard on yourself for the numbers Harold. You always looked to me like you were having fun and that was inspirational for me. I think you could look at a different set of metrics (less scientific) and call this channel a wild success. You met a lot of great people and made a lot of people smile. You're a winner!
If all Harold wants is views then he has to post AI generated cartoons. Or maybe let's play videos? Perhaps take a page from MrBeast and upload in different languages?

Hi Harold. I know how it is. Aftrer you've done YT for a long time, you get to a point (or several points) where you need to take a break. You also reconsider is it worth the effort, do people appreciate the effort that goes into this, and any health problems compound the issue. Been there with all those points and the main one that makes a deciding difference is whether or not you get any pleasure out of shooting video and hopefully informing and helping people. I never worry about viewer or subscriber counts. If I did then the channel would be promoted on other social media platforms, but it's not. So take a break, relax and put the feet up. Some measure success on youtube by dollars, views or subscribers. I don't. RUclips can go and Fk itself for all I care. I maintain a channel for me and no one else. I've met new people and formed some great friendships because of the channel. That's what matters to me. I expect I will never make a dime from youtube and I don't want their dirty money anyways!
