Thanks Harold. Good to see you. Speaking of being hard of hearing, these three old guys were sitting out side of the nursing home and one of them said "Its windy aint it?" The other said "No, its Thursday!" The third guy said " Me too, let's get somthing to drink".
Prayers for your health, Harold. Enjoy that beautiful lathe! You reminded me of another great Boudreaux story. (I can spell just fine; you just gotta read with a Cajun accent for a minute.) Boudreaux and Clarence dey been hollerin' and fightin; back and fort cross de bayou for years. Boudreaux keep tellin' his wife, "Cher, if de ever build a bridge across de bayou I'm gonna go kick Clarence butt. After some time, de Parish built a bridge cross de bayou. Boudreaux's wife hears him yellin' at Clarence and tole him, "You said if dey ever build a bridge you gonna go over and kick Clarence butt." He said, "Cher, you right. I''ll be back in a bit." Real quick Boudreaux came back home. His wife said, "I thought you were gonna kick Clarence butt." Boudreaux said, "I was but when I saw dat sign dat said 'Clarence 13 feet 6 inches' I changed my mind."
Thanks for the health update, Harold. It's a shame you don't have room for both lathes. Having a second machine is handy for that one time you need a lathe to make a critical part for your other lathe.
Harold, so good to see you in this video. I've seen several of your videos over the years, and I want to thank you for all your time and effort to put these together. You remind me so much of my dad - he had workshop and built so many wonderful things. He taught my brothers and I how to use tools and think on our feet. I hope you go on to make many more videos if that's what you desire to do. I enjoy your no-nonsense approach, and love your jokes. Take care sir!
Hey Harold, Susan and I sure enjoyed the quick visit, thanks for having us. We had a great time vacationing in Texas, although the eclipse was a bit of a let down thanks to the dang weatherman. Looks like you already sold the lathe, that will be a nice machine for the new caretaker. Whishing the best for your health and in our prayers.. KOKO
Funny story about the “silent” motor, sounds like something I’d do 😂 That’s a _really_ nice new lathe, congrats(!) Precision Matthews are good folks, I bought a 12x36” Taiwan model from them that’s just beautiful, and their after-sale support is second to none. Very best wishes on your health and machining hobby 👍
It’s good to see you Harold. That craftsman Lathe looks awesome and the price is more than reasonable! To anyone who is looking for a lathe having seen this one first hand she is a cherry machine. Also congrats on the new lathe! Make some chips with it and show us a thing or two!
Hi Harold.I know you said you weren't back for good but it was nice to see you.Glad the new medication is working and now the new lathe is too keep well kind regards Shaun
Hi Harold. Sorry to hear your health isn't great. Hopefully things will continue to pick up. I've been to emergency ward a few times lately, but that's just part of getting old. Just waking up each day is a big plus ;). All the best from down under. Mega lathe. Cheers Rob
Harold , this gave me a healthy chuckle about the lathe and not hearing, I am also very hard of hearing..... maybe do what I did, I put playing cards on the motor pulley with clothes pins like on my bicycle when I was a kid... now I have a lathe that sounds like a motorcycle..... good luck with the new PM lathe....and best wishes and a speedy recovery.... Paul in Orlando
Thats a great deal for someone within driving distance. Great to hear from you Harold. You have been missed. I agree Chuck is a certified Nice Guy. So is Dean.
Great to see you Harold! Great health update. Congrats on that NEW beauty Lathe. The Craftsman will be a great lathe for somelooking for one in great condition and tooling!
Great choice on the PM lathe! Not really on more complicated than the craftsman. Speeds, feads including direction and thread pitches on the head , power feed (x,y) on the apron with I THINK the only difference will be the engagement lever will be feeds and threads in different directions (up /down) assuming the craftsman is the same as my old atlas with both feed / thread being the same lever and direction to engage
Good to see You Harold. You have a tough time with the health, I think, but still launch a video. Impressive. Your group meetings were nice. Sad no one carried it on. Do what You feel like and enjoy whatever comes for You.
Sure is good to hear from you Harold. Every time I get on the you tube I think about you and hoping you are doing well. That lathe should go pretty quick if anyone needing a great lathe is close enough to make it happen. Take care man and keep us posted once in a while 🙏🙏🙏
G'day Harrold. It's Great to see you on. Hopefully you will be on top of the world soon. The new lathe looks like a gem with all the modern pro's & con's. Bubba excelled himself today. Hope your able to get on more even for minutes at a time Ted
Anyone who says an Atlas/Craftsman 12" lathe is not a good lathe is just jealous 'cause they don't have one . Two owners and 70 yrs later, my 12" is still running strong . You are more or less just gifting it at $1400 ! Take care, Harold !
Hi Harold, thanks for the update. We kinda lost touch after the ARW live streams ended and I did not realise you were having such a tough time with your health. But it sounds like you are holding your own anyway. Nice looking new lathe, and I'm sure you won't have any problems selling the Craftsman. Best regards Paul
You dont have a problem, manufacturing has totally forgotten that old ppl exist. My dad can't hear high frequencies too well and all the high pitched beep bop boop songs in the world will not be heard by your customers. Large "Power On" option lights and LOW frequency alerts on anything that beep bop boops. You can retrofit some "Power On" lighting. Stay healthy!
Good to see you Harold praying for your recovery bud. That’s quite an upgrade to that PM I’d be happy as pig in slop. By the way does that craftsman take Glock magazines. KOKO
Thanks Harold. Good to see you. Speaking of being hard of hearing, these three old guys were sitting out side of the nursing home and one of them said "Its windy aint it?" The other said "No, its Thursday!" The third guy said " Me too, let's get somthing to drink".

Paul I did that when I was a kid also. I am sure you can appreciate how frustrating it is to try to fix something that is not broke.
I am so glad that you are having a reprieve. Take care.
Well I am for now, thanks Dudley.
Harrold, I'm very glad to see you are still up and kicking ! Hope you stay that way !! Nice looking machine. Both of them. Take care.

Gday Harold, great to see you again and thanks for the health update, the new lathe looks pretty flash to, should be a good thing mate, cheers
Now that I know that it runs I am busy trying to learn all the settings. Thanks Matty.

Maybe if they get old enough they will be like new again. Thanks Michael.
Maybe put a large red tower light on your new lathe. It will visually let you know that the machine is on!

Thanks Tom I have got a lot to learn..
Miss you I am glad your health is improving or at least maintaining God Bless

That’s a good price for the Craftsman Commercial lathe .
Whoever buys this lathe from harald is getting a good deal. His price is right and he takes care of his machines.

Well Paul I think that if you can hold still it is a lot betterer than getting worse. The Craftsman lathe has a new home already.
