- It is our third anniversary on You Tube! So far it has been an amazing journey. Today we are sharing some our thoughts about “Family Vlogging”. And one thing we have never shared before about our kids’ involvement in the vlog! We also have an announcement about our channel and the future here.

I just wanted to let your family and this community about something that happened within this community a few months ago. I wrote in simply asking for prayers for one of our daughters who was about to undergo a major surgery due to a recent cancer diagnosis. Our daughter is only 25 and she was diagnosed with stage 4 colon rectal cancer about one year ago. I Immediately heard back from one of the ministers at Solo’s church, praying for our daughter Anna and then following up two other times checking on her. I cannot tell you the comfort of that brought our family and I just wanna say THANK YOU so very much!!! This is a beautiful community of people and I’m thankful for it every day.❤️❤️❤️ God Bless you ALL!! 💗💗
Julie...our family has a member who has had several surgeries due to colon cancer. It began in 2012. That person was in her early 40's and is always asking people to ask for a colon cancer screening even if they are considered too young! She is currently cancer free, thank God!
Best of hopes and prayers for your daughter. May it please the Lord to heal her fully.
That's beautiful you know I love your support for this family I love them to it's so neat the love they have for each other and the children and for our lord and savior I enjoy watching this beautiful family I am 66 years my husband is 80 we have four kid's ages our 47 twin 46youngest 35 this man love his wife and kids he don't have to prove anything just continue serving our lord and savior Sara she is a beautiful wife and beyond great mom both of them are beautiful people so people that pick just pray for them they don't
That is so wonderful. I do believe this family is sincere in their love for God and others. I will keep your daughter in my prayers. I’ve seen God heal with my own eyes and I know He can heal your daughter.

My mom died three years ago on September 28th. I discovered your channel right after that. It has helped me smile through a lot of dark times. I went back to the beginning and I’ve watched all of them. Thank you for sharing your life with those of us that have no family ❤️

As someone who spent 5 years in an abusive relationship I find it heartbreaking that anyone would call Solo abusive. I love your family and your videos! And most importantly I adore how open you guys are about your faith in Jesus.
What people need to understand in this day and age is there is a difference between discipline and abuse. I watch a family that was blasted for being abusive when they are teaching their children to be self efficient and be disciplined to be good human beings to be held accountable for their behavior and someone called CPS on them because they are being parents. As a result CPS cleared the parents for any wrong doing. Its truly sad
Marieh I agree. I was raised with a mom who owned a wooden spoon and wasn’t afraid to use it in public😂 and I’m a well rounded productive member of society and I’ve never been arrested haha! I’m grateful for my parents.
As a survivor of an abusive marriage as well, their relationship is a balm to my wounded soul. Watching their videos gives me hope for my future! I’ve been here since the beginning. Love you guys!

solo and sarah: as for the TO KISS OR NOT TO KISS ...when is a kiss a negative. it should never be. so i cast my vote in favor of solo kissing his wife anytime he wants. in this time of the awful ugly things we see on tv and in our personal lives a kiss of affection is a blessing to see. god bless you guys!

When people raise concerns about family vloggers I think they are discussing families that force their children to “act” or never give their children privacy (record them upset, record them when they’re scared, etc). Which you guys do not do. Thank you for sharing your family and being a good role model for other family vloggers!
Like the ace family and the niece with the "lolipop" or the stoffers with the disposible adoption.

Robin Mcbrink April and Dave’s are the worst! My last straw was when they were on vacation at the beginning of the pandemic and returning home they were told to self isolate for two weeks away from their kids and they refused.. at the time they had a newborn and their youngest daughter was on chemo for children’s arthritis

I found y'all August 2017 after Hurricain Harvey sitting in a shelter with my child and grandbaby. Knowing we lost everything but y'all gave me joy thru a dark time in my life. Loved y'all from get go and love when your videos come on it a bright day in my morning. Been using lots of your meal ideas . I lost 110 pounds so far. More videos YEA!! God bless

I love how solo said teaching them “spending, saving, GIVING” you guys are such a generous thoughtful family and you remind me that people can be good. I was never taught the giving part. Keep being the beautiful family you are 💗
There are family vloggers that totally exploit their children. Put clickbait titles, always put their kids in, force their children to be relevant. I could name some, but it's unnecessary. Your channel is really more about your lives with a large family, meal planning, grocery hauls. It's not really the same as those who just use their children for views. There's a huge difference. I hope you understand what I'm saying. You're not in the same category 💗
To be fair, they do have 10 kids. They have way more kids to film or not film compared to smaller families. I do agree though, those kinds of channels are awful
Precisely why I unfollowed many of them! It wasn’t just about the memories but going viral and the views. I won’t know their “hustle” but I won’t be part of it. Now the Mwanias have a special place in my heart not only because we have almost the same last name 😉 but they are wholeseome. I mean I watch cooking videos and meal prepping just because I enjoy them lol I have 2 children and most definitely done; I don’t come back for tips and tricks😂 I just love them. That’s it all. I absolutely love your family...I am 70 years old and I get excited when I see a new vlog...I have watched other vlogs and if I’m not enjoying it, then I just don’t watch it. There is no need for negative comment so I just don’t understand these haters as no one is forcing them to watch. You make me smile all the time and I can also see all the love there is between you and Solo and your children and that is so refreshing. Keep it up,❤️

How about a “day in the life of _______” fill in the child’s name. Give each one their own video for a day. I don’t have favorites, BUT go Hope! I honestly cannot imagine someone having a negative comment to make about your family/Vlogs. People who put others down are just trying to build themselves up. It never works. I love seeing your little snippets of PDA. It’s just enough to see the love!!! Happy 3rd and 18th anniversaries!!!
All the kids are beautiful! It's hard to not have favorites (Luca & Tory) but it's fun seeing them grow up...please keep vlogging, alot of people enjoy your family !♥️♥️
Ideas for your videos:
-How you incorporate the Bible/God/worship into your daily lives and into your children’s lives
-How you pre plan your monthly meal schedule (I remember we briefly got a peak of this before and was so interested!) and shopping schedule
-How you discipline your children (they are so well behaved I’d love to hear your tips and ways 😊)
-Updated garden vlog 🙃
-More homeschool and day in the life vlogs 🥰

Solo, I love seeing Sarah’s tips on cooking and meal planning, “but” 😊 I would also love to see and hear from you on how to teach budgeting and money management for children. Maybe break it down by age groups?
I think this is such an important concept for kids. One my earliest memories is my father introducing me to savings by giving me a dime to put into my savings jar and then putting the jar up high to teach me that savings should not be easily spent.
I think it’s sweet that Solo isn’t afraid to kiss you on the vlog!🤩😆 keep stepping forward in faith ❤️

I love hearing the music they make. I love how the little ones are getting used to the puppy after not having been around an animal. So much good stuff. And I do love the meal prep videos. (I've learned some things from you) I'm totally happy that your channel benefits your family. You're a small business, in a way, and I am happy to support you with my viewing time.

Hi Sarah and Solo! I have been pretty quiet in the comments, but I have been subscribed and watching you for years (since Hope was about 3 months old, if I remember correctly!). I found you because I was looking for others in interracial/intercultural/international marriages and families. It just happens that my husband is also from the continent of Africa (Senegal), so that made it even more special to find you. Your videos are so fun to watch, and they have given me so much. I'm very similar in filming my kids for my channel. I NEVER film them doing embarrassing things, not having a great day, doing something a little naughty or any private moments. I think to myself, would i be annoyed/upset/embarrassed if there was a video of me doing XYZ on the internet? yes? Then i don't film it. Some people film some very inappropriate and upsetting things and i just couldn't do that or support them. I'm glad we are on the same page! I love that you give your kids money from youtube too!
Keep being who you are. We need positive people in our daily exposure. I appreciate your channel to help me to stay positive and feel good about myself.

Thank you for being so transparent, down to earth and honest on your channel. And thanks to your suggestions I was a rock star grandmother this past Christmas. Hoverboards, snap circuits and paint by peel books went over big with my 11 year old grandsons! While they have mastered hoverboarding grandma has not. Best for me to stay off them. I think one thing that comes across very strongly when watching your vlogs is that you are both very responsible, loving parents who respect the rights and feelings of your children. Five days a week is wonderful news! I discovered you on RUclips about January this year and came to totally enjoy your vlogs throughout this Coronavirus Pandemic. I especially love the trip straight through to Colorado & Florida-we have done similar trips (with only 2 children). 😁. I also love the grocery hauls and the food prep vlogs.
