Your channel popped up as a recommendation during the quarantine period, I think your Kenyan vlogs were the first I ever watched, so much fun and they reminded me in some ways of home (Nigeria 🇳🇬).

💯% agree on the Cosby show. We need to learn to separate the person from the product. Nothing has ever been made by a perfect person. We love all of the encouragement we get from our subscribers but from time to time we miss the mark and we hope that any biblical wisdom or practical tips we've passed on can still be seen for what they are. Thanks guys for sharing!
One more thing as I read my bible what I learn is we don't know what any one is doing behind close door you could be watching a show that each person could be doing anything so the Cosby's show there are great kids on that show I like the show and les pray that bill gets to know jesus as his personal savior and his wife and the peoples he hurt God bless
@@melodystrong8953 totally agree. If God's grace is available to all it has to be for him too. It's so easy to point to someone else's faults and say they are worse than our own when the reality is that all of us are in need of a savior. Bill was convicted of something horrific. Jesus died for that too. Great perspective! ♥️
This is the way I see the Cosby show and Bill Cosby...the woman that he was accused of sexually assaulting did not come forward for decades. You would really need to read about the alleged events details and in my personal opinion, these women came onto him for the surroundings of fame and fortune. They were consensual at the time that it happened and they were well over 18 years old, he was also younger at the time. He is a normal man. So, in my personal opinion, he is guilty of nothing. You cannot give consent and then decades later decide that you didn't give consent, change your mind, and accuse someone of something so disgusting, thus destroying their lives. We have all did things in our pasts that we regret, but at the time gave consent to. Those people questioning consent, then they really need to read the definition of consent and the laws that apply.
I believe the Cosby show is great and everyone that was in the show supported Bill Cosby until it came to the point of "popular" opinion from the nay sayers. Just like what happens so often in this modern society, people jump on the ban wagon so fast due to supposed popular opinion when that may not actually be the case at all. So, watch the show if you want to, because it had great teaching tools.
Also, I will add to this that Christian shows, channels, and organizations can be just as corrupt as anything else with people that are terrible examples of humanity.

I sort of agree with that, but we ALREADY know what happened behind that show. So why is that offset by not knowing other shows when we know for sure about that?

Love you guys! I have watched The Walton’s series over this pandemic. I seem to tear up each episode. Can’t get much more wholesome than that show. There are laughs and lessons in each show. I felt the need to escape from the news and the show just takes you back. They had their trials as well but there is something special in watching the family interactions and how much they loved each other. 🥰🌻

I feel the same way about the show 7th Heaven. The other cast members didn't do anything wrong. Why discredit all the work they did? Do what is best for you and your family!

The “old school” shows definitely were better television than what they air nowadays. There is good and bad in all areas of life (tv, churches, Boy Scouts etc etc) we can’t stop watching, attending and living because it comes out that one person associated with these made some poor choices. Like you said it’s a life lesson, but those not involved should not be judged by the others actions. Love you all ❤️

My 2 grandsons were born in Feb and March. By the end of their first summers they were already swimmers. Even very young babies can be taught. Such a great way to help keep them safe.

I love the 7th Heaven tv show as well as The Cosby Show, and the actor who portrayed the father admitted to despicable behavior in real life. I don't think it is fair to disregard the hard work the other actors, crew, and writers put into these shows to make them great, just because of one person's actions.
My husband and I have been binge watching Andy Griffith for weeks.... show the kids what little Opie turned out to be, now that’s inspirational 👍🏿

I watched little house on the prairie, the waltons when I was growing up and my kids watched it. They are19 and 21.
I watched it, too. But that Michael Landon was no saint in real life either. I agree with Solo and Sarah, just watch it for the content and let the morals of the actors be a teaching point for your older kids.

Another huge 'I Love Lucy' fan here! My kids grew up watching Lucy & now my little 2yr. Old grandbaby loves to come to Marmee's house & watch 'Lu'. He says 'Lu is funny'.😁🤣 Also love what you said about using the shows you watch as teaching times.....we did that a LOT as well too when our kids were growing up.

I so agree with learning to swim. One of my twins (now 21) was knocked into a pool by his cousin when they were 3. There were 5 adults sitting and constantly counting 16 kids. The teenagers in the pool didn't know anything happened until i could not get out after jumping in after him. He remembered to hold his breath and kick his legs. He still talks about when he was drowning.

I watched Cosby and my daughter has watched all seasons, like three times. She is 18 years old. I told her, the Cosby Show has nothing to do with his personal life. It is a television show with actors and good content. However, all actors have a personal life. Therefore, his personal life got exposed to the public.

I got rid of cable and wifi 4 years ago and have never once regretted it. We all have unlimited data so, we all watch our favorite shows on our own devices!!! I have 2 of my adult children and my grandson that live with me. Even my grandson who will be 7 doesn't miss it. I save over 200.00 a month now.

I love the comment about the Cosby Show. It was by far one of the best sitcoms on at the time. Teachable moments all around. I loved it and was more than happy to allow our children to watch it.
Although it breaks my heart to hear all that surrounds Bill Cosby himself, it does not take away from the lessons learned watching the show itself.
I just realized what it is that I like so much about your channel.
Everything feels so much like Vacation Bible School. When you are now chatting with us, feels like being on break in the VBS teacher’s lunchroom, updating and talking through the plans and what we have coming up.... there are plays, recreation, work time and projects and interviews with the kids... and standing strong with steadfast love and faith, the fearless shepherds leading the lambs.

First I wanted to say I think your both fabulous parents and just great people, the world needs more people like you. Wish I wasn't at the other side of the world so I could babysit all those cuties and you can get more date nights! But....lol....I wish you would wrap the kids gifts in nice gift wrap, the Amazon boxes are really impersonal and you can buy cheap gift wrap everywhere, it just makes the gift more special. 1000% agree about entertainment! When you watch something, you are watching the content of the work or the art and are a fan of the art or of the work, not idolizing the people portraying the art (actors, sports players, artists, musicians makers, etc.) We are not responsible to know the artist entire personal character and life behind their work. I get it, they are public figures, but their public persona is also usually an act or at least partially. I think people need to STOP judging you guys about what you do and do not let your children watch on television and streaming platforms. 'Karen' to much about y'all's business when they needed to get them some of their own (seems to be the theme of 2020). Honestly, I feel like we could use more parents, role models and families like yours!

There is EVERYTHING RIGHT about The Cosby Show and nothing right about what we NOW KNOW after 20 plus years about the ACTOR Bill Cosby. Separate issues! Cliff Huxtable is not Bill Cosby! Kudos to your family about knowing the difference! Let them watch HAPPY DAYS too. The main character is Richie. He previously played Opie from Andy Griffin. I think they may enjoy it ❤️

Oh and my husband and I have each lost 30 kilos (66 pounds) since going vegan too. BTW, the headaches you got might have been your body detoxing.

Totally agree about the Cosby show, my husband and I watched that and loved it, we recorded the episodes and showed them to our children who also loved them. No one knows whats going on behind the scenes so we enjoy them for what they are and not what Bill Cosby did. xx

I became a plant-based eater 4 months ago and literally(Sarah!) feel younger. If you haven’t watched Game Changer, especially for your boys, it’s worth the time. I still eat some butter and cheese, but I feel benefits in my GI system, joints, cholesterol, brain, mood ! Good luck🌺

I'm like you Sarah, I don't wear foundation either.
Mostly because in the summer I'd just sweat it away. In the winter months I just don't want to have that mini hassle and I just so used to seeing myself al natural!!
I have good clear skin so I really don't need it (or so *I* think!) I have a nice olive tone to my skin which is inherited from my Italian genes.
But I wanted to say that I too have the magnetic lashes and liner which I love and is all I wear!!
There have been times when I fell asleep wearing them and they held up just fine.
I don't reccomend sleeping in them but if you fine yourself so exhausted after a long day and forget to remove your lashes, it's no problem. No worries!! 👁💕

The safety for all kids that pool cover is great! Way to go mom and dad! Love the Crosby show! The show never showed bad things! We need more is the Crosby show., the Walton’s, and Little House on the pairie. I always tell and told my sons it is tv and not real! Same with movies. We even talked about them.
I had to laugh about the eyelashes as the timing was perfect. I spent the past few days trying to teach myself how to put on false lashes. Let me say I need all the help I can get.
