"Lion, why do you want these Mk3s? They are bulky and slow."
"Bruh that fit goes hard, tho."
Fr lol
So those last chapters adopted a somewhat clunky armor just cause it looked cool?
Rule of cool 😎 w
Remember it’s a universe where red irk bikes are faster because enough of them believe it 😬
Ork
Russ doing this is easy to believe. The Lion...I think he was just having a weird day. Honestly I find the design toomuch of a walking brick to be really all that practical. Shield to protect during boarding or out pace your enemy with speed but don't screw over your mobility.
@@anamAlisterThe space wolves also much prefer melee so thicker armour lets them get close to ranged enemies. Once they get into the enemy lines the rest of the wolves with lighter armour can move in much safer.
No matter what you throw at them, they are just going to keep walking towards you. And that is why the iron armor is so intimidating.
Shooting a roket at someone only to see them keep marching as if it was a peble with barly the paint of the armor being blemished, that alredy scaring me
Dunno, rockets can do some serious damage to a space marine, but i guess it depends on the rocket. A modern day RPG is probably little more than a grenade to them.
@@giacomoromano8842 i was considering today military rokets
The knight asthetic of MK3 is amazing to me
I waited for this to educate my friends for so long
Hope the other marks come faster
Needing a youtube short to validate your own opinions in a game of plastic soldiers? Really?
@@discipleofdagon8195 no. Its not about opinions. I dont have time, and my friends want to learn more. A short like this helps.
Dont be so judging of others. I was expressing joy and gratitude for this content.
@@discipleofdagon8195 What kind of stupid hill are you trying to die on here, my guy? You're commenting on a video about Warhammer 40K lore like " Wow. Shame on you for looking forward to and/or hoping more lore for the power armor from this content creator is out soon. " - are you good? Are just butthurt for no reason, or something,..?
Legions come on man.
Then again im more of a 30k person so I suppose its normal to me.
Thanks for the video of my favorite armor friend.
Best pattern armor.
The great helm aesthetic is amazing!
Don't forget that the fighting was specific to the squats. Bros kicked marines ass so hard they had to make a new armor specifically to fight them
Shark guys would like a word.
Well the Dark Angels and Space Wolves were known for their drip
My absolute favourite power armour.
I grabbed a box of them when I started Warhammer for my black Templars
no wonder they survive much longer and suffer much more..
IRON WITHIN, BROTHERS!
As I shall be the Iron without🦾
There is no better looking combo than iron warriors and mark 3 armor
They weren't chapters, they were legions. Mark 3 is from 30k, the space marines were still organized as legions with tens of thousands of astartes per legion, at least. Some had a hundred thousand or more, though those numbers were decimated during the Horus Heresy and Scouring. It's only after the Horus Heresy and the Scouring that they became chapters for loyalists, and warbands for traitors
Can we get that sound you were using in that one short where you talked about the Iron warriors?
The grey knights armour is the most intimidating in my opinion. Mostly the helmet but the scripture and the steel grey look sells it for me
Cataphractii, Tartaros and Indomitus pattern tactical dreadnought suits: "AHEM..."
Cataphractii armour is sexy as fuck.
As if a 8 foot tall superhuman wasn’t intimidating enough 😅
Your gosh darn right. Iron within.
*Deathguard, Imperial Fists, Iron Warriors:* "Hmmm. Very functional. 🗿"
*Dark Angels, Space Wolves:* "Sick drip 😎"
Yeah its definitely one of my favorites next to the Mk 5 and Mk 7
The world eaters also liked this armor pattern , and even if it made them a lot slower, it allowed them to fight with melee in environments that didn't have a lot of cover
To be fair if u are facing a man taller and wider than a wardrobe that is running towards u with a rifle big as a coffe table and an extra thick gigantic armour, i would be scared too
So beautiful.
Joytoy about to roll them out.
Cataphractii Terminators: Am I a joke to you?
I can just imagine a bunch of hairy space wolves going “its so clunky” “BUT ITS SO COOL”
why do these guys *always* stand like they're about to do a sidesplit in gymnastics?
enemy: “we’ve dumped 30 magazines into them, how have they not faltered?”
iron warrior: “the emperor demands i take this world for his imperium and by emperor will i fucking do it.”
*green mk3 iron armor marching towards you
*fires bolter and throws multiplefrags at it
*bolter rounds bounce off, the frag makes a small crack and lesioned intestine falls out
OH SHIT IT'S A DEATHGUARD! QUICK GET HAND SANITIZER AND A FLAMER!
Thanks for the info
Until a primaris in gravis plate walks up 😂
Just like the Cataphractii armor. They're built to be a talking tank
Shit goes HARD
Imagine seeing an 8ft tall hunk of metal walking down a corridor towards you with a hammer in hand and an urge to rip your brain out.
Like bro the armor so intimidating they might as well just scare away their enemies 👍
Mk 6 Beakies will always be my favorite.
Fun fact kinetically the are was invented to fight the squats before they allied themselves with the imperium. Intense the squads are now canon and are just Votan that's saying a lot.
The Votan are one of the best shooting army's in the game so m3 power armor is really good
It has my approval
Dude, you cannot call that most intimidating when the Corvus-pattern exists. It looks like an armored plague doctor come to cure the unclean.
Rip death guard 😢
I’ve been putting MK2s in my chaos Army due to their more imposing look
Defence or Drip.
Either way, once of the best looking armour sets.
This is THE poster-armour for the Horus Heresy, with the Mark 2 Crusade being a close second. This is canonically the most used armour back then.
Which one had the bullet magnet problem? One of the marks had to be outmodded because the gorget was shaped in such a way that it kept turning chest shots into neck shots
I love them.
My favourite.
I feel like they look like the cylons from battlestar galactica
*Legion of The Damned appear out of thin warp*
Introducing: the MKII MKII!
So in world war 2 sense it's a Sherman jombo
Damn, that's actually a good way of putting it
Imagine getting an itch with power armor
It was not for the look, but because it gave more protection in CC. Well, more protection in general than the later marks.
Mk3 is just so cool! The only thing I replace is the bolters as the mk4 bolter looks better!
The Space Marine's greatest weakness:
Small spaces
I would love to get to try a set of that stuff.
Death Guard legion has joined the chat
Small nitpick, you used the MK 3 image when you said “it looks like the MK2 crusade pattern” (the Iron Warrior was in MK2 the Imperial Fist was in MK3 you can most easily tell by how the leg armour was layer plated on the MK2, whereas on the MK3 it became a solid piece)
The best space marine armour, I hope we get a modern version of it in the lore
I love how the original war for this armor was to fight the squats now that they're back technically that lore is canon again.
Mark 1 thunder armor still the best though
My favorite.
Deep sorrow that the lore has changed from what I remember this armor was originally made to combat the squats in their holds
Orcs and nids dont care how you oook 😅
There was a comment to an iron warriors marine to a crimson fist 👊 that there armor was superior to the fists armor so they should just let them help them with there ork infestation because there was no hope in winning. I imagine this goes the same with several chapters
Surely you jest! How could it possibly hold up to the fearsome Mk.6 with it's ability to peck at the enemies of mankind!?
Discount Terminator Armour
IRON WITHIN IRON WITHOUT
If I remeber right the very old lore for the mark 3 was that it was made for the sole purpose of fighting of worlds owned by the squats cause the space marines kept getting their ass kicked by the spacedwarves
I mean, with the leagues existing and the pre-league squats being eaten by nids I would assume it's still canon
Best Armour
Terminator armor. Any mark.
Is that where "Iron within, Iron without" comes from?
Meta gamers vs fashion gamers
Monster Hunter XD
That's a weird way to spell terminator armor
Legions! Not "Chapters." This was the great crusade, not girlyman's wet dream.
Bro said chapters instead of legions lmao
It was not adopted by most "LEGIONS" not Chapters
mark 2 somehow look like it have a better leg armor
They aren’t chapters, they’re legions
It looks like any other armor.
I wonder how hot it feels to wear it. Human body generates heat. It's like wearing a fur coat in the mid summer.
Idk given the conditions I think the Mk. V is way scarier
isn't mk V very fragile?
even mk VI can resist more damage.
@@Bass-ef3dr you may be right. I shall look
@@Bass-ef3dr No, not really. That belief stems from the fact that what's considered as a Mk.5 tends to be field modifications during the most combat-heavy parts of the Heresy. At a good condition, Mk.5 should be tougher overall than the Mk.6.
@@s2korpionic my friend.
Mk V armor is just broken pieces of armor bolted together with bonding studs.
Hell, even the bonding studs gave more protection.
@@Bass-ef3dr You have to consider that this is technically a retcon during the Heresy novels. Originally the Mk5 "heresy" armour was it's own thing and older World Eater models had them. The Carcharadons are also often portrayed with the unique mk5 armour, which had a helm very similar to the Mk7 armour.
So, its basically the embodiment of *"MY FACE IS MY SHIELD!!!"*
Yeah it looks good but I love the Terminator armor
Nah.
Cataphracti Terminators
This is a huge reason why people don't like the new Space Marines, Firstborne by their nature have a lot more customization and by extension personality (this has even been written into lore).
For me its the gravis.
What is that imperial fist model?
Designed by Alchemist Alphonse Elric...
I don't know. I think the MK VIII armor is the most intimidating with the vox grill in front. I like the bracelets of the mk III but the gorget, pauldrons and helmet of the mk VIII is far more intimidating. The helmet looks like an ongoing battle cry. Combined with a audible battle cry they seem like the demi gods of bloodshed they are supposed to be
I still go for Terminator power armor.
I think the classic MK VII is the most intimidating armor. The snarling angry-looking vox grille is so iconic and makes the marines look very menacing.
No one gonna point out how it’s literately futuristic medieval armor
Literally everyone will. You’re not special
@@randomelite4562 yet no one is pointing it out…. “YOuR NoT SpEcIaL”💀💀
@@oneshotgaming3961no one is pointing it out because it’s been in existence for 30 years and everyone already knows space marines are basically space knights already with dark angels proving that even more so yeah not special
I dunno homie I’m more into the aesthetic of the Primaris and Phobos, more sleek and intimidating
I thought the Saturnine terminator armor looked ridicoulus, until I saw the suit in Death of Hope.
From that moment on I think the Saturnine terminator armor is the most intimidating one.
When your pauldrons are so big they connect into one single piece
Im guessing this is ignoring Terminator aromor
The Mk4 Maximus looks more intimidating imo
Nah, the Mk.4 looks cool. Not as intimidating as the Mk.3/2.
Mark 4 and 6 looks less bulky thus they appear sophisticated
mk5 looks more brutal
Its a pity gw dont have boxes of this mk armour available. Classic out of stock...
I would say terminator armor is much more intimidating
