When I first started coming they didn’t have napkins, they only had waxed paper sheets that just made a bigger mess. They had a bucket of hot peppers on the counter and you can take all that you want. I was a fan of the tamales and the hot dogs.
I remember when they only had canned sodas in a cooler across from the counter. They also didn't serve fries at this location. Tommy's is best late at night, standing against the wall eating a steaming burger.
This location was my first time. My future brother-in-law brought us his little sister myself and my big sister! We were in a convertible MG on our way back from the LA Zoo. Back then they only had chips and canned soda from the freezer! My brother in law has since passed , but I have so many found memories of him RIP Rudy I love you ❤❤❤😊
I... do not, personally, like Tommy's. Their so-called _'chilli'_ seems like a bean paste or oily gravy instead. I really dislike the raw onions, piled high on everything, I don't like food that bites me back. My typically drunken Friends and relatives who grew up in Los Angeles all absolutely adore Tommy's, though. I can't stand the place. I've never found their service fast or quick at all. The line is always long, the service is always slow. It's not for me at all. I'll be at IN-N-OUT BURGER, thank you very much. 😊

Yeah, I've been going all my life. I saw changes here and there. But the food has always been good. Thank you for sharing .

Wow!! I used to go there back in the 70's and there would be a line a block long..Jay burgers with an egg was also bomb💣

I noticed a California Classic Cheeseburger on the menu. There's no chili on that one.
