My first wife of 13 years never wanted children (so, contraception always), then she was unfaithful and left. 3 years later I am considering joining the Orthodox church. I am hoping somehow with a repentant enough heart that God may some day restore this aspect of my life 😔

In the UK schools have abandoned teaching morality in favour of promiscuity and self-fulfillment. These poor children are thrown to the demons before they can even begin to make choices for themselves. The rate of change in western culture is accelerating: it will not be long before the present hostile climate towards traditional Christianity turns into persecution once more. Pray for each other, that we may endure.

Don't worry anymore. An encounter with Christ has turned serial killer Saul in to the Apostle Paul. And prostitute Mary the Egyptian was turned in to the greatest ascetic ever. If Paul and Mary the Egyptian could do it, so can everyone. That is how Christ heals fallen human nature. This encounter has motivated millions of saints and martyrs who became part of Christ's Body the Church, some were saints from the childhood days, some converted at certain point in their life as apostle Paul did.

A lot of people in Serbia like to criticize our Patriarch. Now, he might not be as great as our previous Patriarch, Pavle (Paul), who will probably soon be canonized, but they can't all be saints. I think he is a pretty good Patriarch, and this speech serves as further proof of that point.
Orthodox Christianity is incredibly based. I wish we Roman Catholics were more like this.

Hvala, Vladiko. Svaka cast! I feel guilty always that I had only 4 children. I could have had 10 but didn't. We were very selfish and eventually divorced. Young Orthodox couples, stay in the Church, fast, confess and commune, and don't limit your childbearing. Christ will not bless your marriage otherwise.

This is what is called wisdom. The problem with young people today is they are very, very vapid and shallow. They judge too harshly on one's intellect, but not their wisdom. They mercilessly mock others constantly for the slightest spelling mistake or grammatical error, all the while remaining totally ignorant of the lack of depth within themselves. They are nominalists and materialists. They live solely for today, and it shows. The situation is truly unprecedented, in that this is perhaps the only generation that has ever lived who scorn their own past whilst also ignoring their future. Such a people have no future.
Rest in peace your imminence. Wise and holy as any man of the church ought to be.

God will bless the Serbian people with future Patriarchs and bishops who will be equal to that of our much mourned Irinej and before him Pavle and many more from our history which kept our church United by which the Serbian people were saved from becoming foreign servants and slaves instead of the free and strong nation they make up today. The Serbian people created many states, kingdoms, even empires but none lasted only our church has lasted all throughout history giving hope to the Serbian people that suffered immensely, the church and it's servants gave the people the strength and support to fight anyone who came with the sword and to prevail whilst the Serbian people protected the church from foreign infiltration, corruption, inborn heresy or breaking up and becoming something our great St Sava and St Simeon wouldnt dream of. I feel that our Serbian saints in the kingdom of heaven will never let our Church and people be destroyed by our relentless enemies whom wouldn't know what God was if the blessed appeared Infront of them.

I completely agree with every single word you said. I am so embarrassed and ashamed that I was so “proud “ of my sins 6 years ago! When I was in college, i was easily manipulated and brainwashed by the media.
Now that I am married with two beautiful children. my perspective in life and views has changed so dramatically. I never realize how evil the world is and how we are in a spiritual war until after I had them. My eyes have opened up to many things that I wouldn’t even question before.
I want to raise my children right! I do not want them to be indoctrinated and brainwashed! I want them to be strong men with good morals! I am trying to pray every night with them and I am trying to read the Bible so I can strengthen my morals and become closer to god as well!
When I tell my family and friends that I been reading the Bible and want to reconnect my relationship with god… everyone tells me “da Sam poluda”.

It absolutely baffles me that there are people so willing to narcissistically do away with reproduction.
All organisms for the history of Life have the innate will to reproduce. Yet people think they are wise to break away from this mountain of inertia. And worse they believe they are doing a moral good. A moral good of condemning themselves to a life of loneliness and sin, robbing not only their future selves of happiness but also their would be future partners of a life of happiness. All for the vain rejection of burdening some responsibility.

Yes, we need more people, holy men, and priests to talk about this rotten world, teach this rotten world for the values, unfortunately, the priests do not talk about these issues to the public, to the Christian world, but they should, the time is running out (!) very soon - if they listen, would they (?) - cause the punishment will be severe if the world does not turn back right away from their sinful life!
