Really loved hearing your in-depth thoughts on these. And that light show at the zoo was amazing!!

Definitely got lucky with a group that was almost tailored for me, these were such bangers.
I am soooo glad I made it to the lights. This was the first year, but I really hope they continue.

I loved the Zoo light show! Our zoo does a Christmas light show (and I think maybe a Halloween one? If so, we've never been to that one).
I'm reading Doppelganger now, but I've been on the waitlist for MONTHS for Master Slave Husband Wife. It's not in my group, but I will definitely be reading it when it comes in.

The zoo here has a christmas light show as well, I feel like this was much bigger and better! It was the first year they did this one as a sort of extended Chinese new year lantern festival, so I really hope they continue it.
MSHW seems to really be making the rounds in terms of hype, so that doesn't surprise me too much. I got so lucky not having any terrible waits for my group, but then my library is kind of amazing.
I cannot wait to hear what you get out of Doppleganger, it seems likely to be one you have a lot to say about. I also saw it just won the women's prize!

What a creepy eye statue, through I loved the accessibility options with mini casts. How was Moulin Rouge? Crossings sounds fascinating. I've struck two deer when driving and felt terrible. Do you have a pet tarantula or did it just wander by? What a cool light show at the zoo. The chameleon is my favorite. 🦎

That is at the Laumeier Sculpture Park if you ever get the chance, it is lovely for a walk or picnic.
Moulin Rouge was PHENOMENAL, I hadn't even known there was a broadway show till I saw this was touring. They had loads of the hits from the movie, along with a huge number of song medleys of pop songs mashed up in really interesting ways - I think my favorite of those that got stuck in my head was Crazy Rolling, you can find on YT.
STL Zoo does so much cool stuff, this was their first year doing the lantern festival, but I am sure it will return. I also loved the Chameleon, the peacock had to be my favorite though.

@ReadBecca I will keep it in mind if I plan to visit stl. Sculptures are one of my favorite art forms. Have you ever been to Crystal Bridges in Bentonville, AR? They had some gorgeous massive sculptures when I visited. I'm glad you enjoyed Moulin Rouge! And yeah, the peacock was fab!

I haven't ever been to AR, but I will have to check it out if I do!
