Pixie talking about becoming a High Pixie is a reference to Nocturne and Shin Megami Tensei IV, where demons can actually evolve similar to Pokémon. Pixie evolves into High Pixie, and then into Queen Mab. This game doesn't have demon evolution though, sadly.
Luck is a fun stat. Yes, it's crit rate, but it also impacts how likely you are to inflict status ailments or how many times multi-hit attacks with a range hit (so if it hits 3-5 times, higher Luck makes it more likely to hit 5).
Back in SMTIV you could straight up build for Luck, and it was silly.
Also, registering low-level demons like Slime isn't that big a deal. You have the baseline versions in the compendium automatically and that's enough. Registering isn't AS big a deal in this game until higher-level demons with really good abilities.
38:10 Ahahaha! I missed that. So, that's a reference to older SMT games (specifically Nocturne and IV) where you could level up demons and evolve them. In SMT Nocturne, you could level a pixie up and she'd evolve into high pixie, and if you leveled the high pixie up enough without fusing her, she'd evolve into Queen Mab.
Pro tip try and fuse over skills a demon is more proficient at. Bringing over skills that a demon is weak to will more then likely cost more MP as well as be weaker attack wise. An example of this is trying to give Jack Frost agi. Not only will it be less affective but it will cost more MP to use
33:46 He is not gonna do what I think he is gonna do... HE DID IT!
Try to use Pass instead of always attacking. It uses a half turn like getting a crit or hitting a weakness. That is how you can get to characters that have the right element more than once.
I did a little bit of research and from what I can surmise this game you don't really have to grind as long as you do side quests you should be pretty much on track for the bosses and things.
Grinding in general isn't important in SMT games as your demons and skills are a lot more important than stats
You can use R1 to auto-heal, and it does it pretty smartly. It uses your stock demons' healing skills to only heal your current party, and never uses items, so you can use it freely without worrying about wasting anything.
Human companions are welcome in the netherworld.
15:40 it’s best to use spy glass on these and hit they 1 weakness.
16:30 basically, there’s you exp, demon exp, maca, and glory ones. Each in their own color.
Love Hiromine so far! 💖 And the fusion animation is quite wild! Love it!
They haven't even seen the REAL first boss yet. >:)
The trick to Mitama is using telescopes to immediately see thier weakness.
Can't wait to see Leanan Sidhe, she's one of my favourite SMT demons. Leanan are a type of Fae from Irish folklore. Also Side is said like 'She'. Similar to Ban Sidhe (Banshee).
Changing out demons mid battle will turn a press-turn icon into a extra-press-turn icon. So feel free to change out demons according to the situation. It's optimal to switch out demons on the main character turn, since if you switch a demon out on its own turn, it moves to the next demon thats currently active in the party.
Also, demons have affinity to certain skills. The higher, the less mp that'll be required to cast the skill. Works in reverse as well. The sea weedman has positive affinity to ailements and ice meaning he'll cast it with less mp, but has negative affinity with fire, meaning it'll cost more to cast that skill.
Finally! Another human, although can’t quite say if we’re still human or not
I wonder if Amanozako means it in the literal sense when she says she's looking for her other half
Currently playing in the non-Vengence canon, and Yoko is a new addition to SMYV Vengence, as I didn't encounter her in my playthrough so far.
I'm still wondering if I should just restart and play Vengence. It feels kinda like I'm playing P5 Vanilla, tbh.
Gremlin is such a goofball 😅
Mitama are basically the golden hands of this game.
Anybody else think of Makoto Nijima when looking at Yoko's hair?
P5 may have guillotines, but SMT 5's fusion seems way more gruesome
Amanozako isn't voiced by Mizuki from Ai Somnium Files
18:18 , 20:06 , 22:20 , 25:40 Young man count
Young man total- 23
Very glad to see someone take up the counting duty
Yoko's outfit reminds me of Maki from Persona 1.
Commenting early, but great job on that boss fight!
Leanan Sidhe is pronounced Leia-nan She.
Why does the pocket on her shirt look like it says S and M?😰
They knew what the fans wanted
its shin and megami
Bc she goes to St. Marina
Another new name
Alright, now we have a classmate helping us in combat!
So glad they brought back human party members (which was a thing in the first two SMT games and just kinda went away).
And the plot thickens!
from what i played they drastically improved the talismen in this game, in the original not only did the game ot explain what they were but they were pretty useless compared to the default critmegeddon. however it seems that now each one s explained upon aquiring them and the benefits were changed to somthing actually usefull, make sure you talk to everyone (outside of the haunt) even if they dont have a quest, some random demons may give you a talismen for free just for speaking to them
Are you guys not going to continue the AA DS series? Just asking
I was hoping for a Fusion, glad you liked it
