    Thank you for this interesting video! It helps a lot! I wish there were more doctors like you that would inform women before they are already sick.

    I’ve also heard that walking with a weighted vest offers benefits. What is your thinking about that as an additional option?

      Yes that’s a great idea as an addition but doesn’t replace lifting weights - unless it’s really heavy !

    Thank you, Dr. Susan. I'm going to start lifting heavier weights after watching your eye-opening video.

    I’m reading and listening to everything I can. Where can I find information about debilitating body aches, head to toe? I don’t know how much more I can take, I need to find an explanation.

    My challenge is I have osteoarthritis and tendonitis, which has always been aggravated by weight training (properly done, too). Now I’ll watch the video… 😁

    What if you have severe stage 4 or score -3
    Should you still do heavy lifting and jumping?

    I would love to learn more about how to lift heavier weights--like a beginner's guide. I did try physical therapy, but after 4 months and quite a bit of expense they never even got me that far, and the "big picture' was yoga style exercise. I totally appreciate flexibility and balance are SUPER important--but I'd love to incorporate larger weights into my routine. Can you recommend (or even a suggestion of bringing someone on) who might show us some demo exercises we could do, and maybe something we could do at home with a simple weight bench and free weights, no huge equipment or a gym? Thank you for all you are doing--very helpful!

    Can you please do a video about progesterone cycling for menopausal women? I’ve experienced a lot of weight gain starting HRT and I’ve heard that bio identical progesterone taken orally might be the cause. Thank you!

      Eat a keto or canivore diet. Carbs are what causing weight gain. Watch Dr Ken Berry on YT.

      I don’t think progesterone is the cause- that is a natural hormone and has not been associated with weight gain however, menopause is certainly associated with weight gain for a lot of complex reasons that I have previously discussed. Also quite easy to overcome if you look at my videos on insulin resistance! Personally, I don’t cycle progesterone because having a period is and wanted by me and most patients

      Every health provider swears that you don't gain weight from HRT and that it's just menopause, but lots of women gain weight immediately upon starting HRT. It would be good to have this acknowledged instead of brushed off and it would be good to have some ideas around it.

    Where any of the women in the heavy weight group on HRT?

    • @drsusan
      @drsusan  8 дней назад

      Only a couple ! There very a small number in each group. Obviously MHT is also very important but the culture in Australia at this time (10 years ago) was not common to take it at their age. You can see that data in the study link
