@@tinmaunghla648 It is better to use cloud service like google or whatever rather than sharing files to internet yourself. Especially if you don't have dedicated computer you can use for hosting. FTP is notoriously insecure, only thing it is good for, is sharing software or firmware updates and storing disk images locally, so you can backup image of your system for example a clonezilla server and use PXE or iSCSI boot etc.
Nice Tutorial, very helpful to learn the intricate procedures step-by-step. There is a caveat, turning off the firewall is very risky, Firewall is there to safeguard the pc, from malicious attacks.

From the FTP client (tested with Windows and FileZilla), I had to precede the user name by the server name to be able to connect. By example of this video, it should have been DESKTOP-OU61HT3\ftp-user (as shown at 05:19).
@@ravi2048 I am about to set this up with the firewall turned on, I am pretty sure you can add custom rules to give FTP a exclusion. Turning it off entirely with a internet connection just doesn't feel right.
@@user-go4ek1mr2t Its been a little while but I researched what the FTP ports where (in and out) and made exclusions for them in the advanced settings section and adding new rules there with the ports.

Maybe it’s your firewall? Also look into your routers settings by entering your ipv4 in the url in your browser to check if there’s any setting or tool that prevents FTP connections

you need a static ip/DNS, for this you can use two-dns its free.

I was able to start the ftp server only by disabling the firewall. but this is not right 😞... what to do?!
