"Donald Trump says sorry to Boris Johnson in private phone call"
As if that would ever happen.
What would Donald trump have to say sorry to Boris Johnson for? Trump has done nothing wrong to the uk. Biden on the other hand already sticking his nose into the n Ireland problem probably to sniff the kids throwing rocks at police.
How hilarious this comment is with hindsight and Bidens disasterous afghan idiocy.

"Private Call"
1.1 million people: Interesting
Get you a president that ends his friendly apology with *"go get em, eat em alive"*
"How is Nancy, Give her my love"
So Motherly and Beautiful to hear.
At 12:30 on the morning of the invasion, Thatcher sent a message to Reagan:
'This action will be seen as intervention by a Western country in the internal affairs of a small independent nation, however unattractive its regime. I ask you to consider this in the context of our wider East/West relations and of the fact that we will be having in the next few days to present to our Parliament and people the siting of Cruise missiles in this country. I must ask you to think most carefully about these points. I cannot conceal that I am deeply disturbed by your latest communication. You asked for my advice. I have set it out and hope that even at this late stage you will take it into account before events are irrevocable.(The full text remains classified.)'

I tell you something. Like her or not we could do with a strong leader like her again! Someone to take control of issues effecting this Country before its too late

Thomas Ness Anyone would be better than May. Farage would have my vote.
Maximilian Schrepfer he reckons he’s making a return to politics so with any luck that’ll be a choice. Shame how the seats work though.
How is she being a strong leader? USA invaded a member of the British Commonwealth and she meekly accepted it.
@@JonyTony2018 It happened, she accepted the explanation. Wasn't meek, it was just how it was. She didn't crumble.
I did not search for this, but I'm glad I clicked it.
Someone else already said it but listening to the most powerful people on the planet at a given time just speak normal to each other has the strangest feeling
Bastards booing at her corpse. How dare you put that at the end of this video. Tossers.
Shit on that bitch.
Supported Tony Blair. Far left my assssssssss.
Well it is the Guardian. F'in epitome of the Liberal Left elite who feel entitled to be in charge.
The public paid for her funeral, they should be allowed to boo.
She took the milk from kids mouths and the jobs from their fathers then made them pay for her funeral when they grew up.
Ask Sting and by all means ask Peter Gabriel (who actually donated money to the British govt in an effort to get back from "those years of thatcher")
Thatcher: I must return to the debate, it's a bit tricky
Reagan: Go get 'em. Eat 'em alive!
OMG I'm loving this
I've always noticed that the debates on the floor of Parliament could get quite heated and harsh. Great debates though.
Hate speech! :-D
Reagan was into vore.
fantastic, I wish they would share more of this stuff, especially the older recordings.

What a time that was when a president understood the value of an apology.
@Cormac Atherton well put.
Oh yes and clearly practised white supremacy. What a great human he was
An amazing conversation to hear
He was such a tactful gentleman. I remember how most men to a certain degree acted that way. You can tell I've lived many decades to be able to say that. She was quite graceful and pleasant also.
Margaret sounded like she knew that the phone call was actually not private, but she did not want to stop Ronald from saying what he wanted to say. She ended the call kinda of abruptly, it was like she was saying, "Alright, that's enough, stop making yourself sound like an apologist."
TheSmithersy Well Reagan has a clearer voice in this so I would guess the white house?
What a lie. She excused herself and ended the phone call because he was in the middle of a debate in Parliament.
In the U.K. whenever the PM picks up the phone to a foreign leader, there’s about 20-30 other people listening in: the foreign Secretary, her private secretary, the PUSS at the foreign office etc. At least this was the case during the Thatcher years.
TheSmithersy Every single call at the Whitehouse is recorded.
@@johnfurlong8301 This is still true I think for the UK PM and even the US President. The staff upper echelon usually listen in.
they were so strong together, they were genuine soulmates!
This actually increases my respect for both.
how can you have respect for two people that you just heard planning on violently deposing a democratically elected government?
@@osz804 Easily! Especially as the decision was nothing to do with the UK! I just like the fact Ronnie felt the need to apologise, I react as a human in that sense.
I feel the same way. Politically I'm completely opposed to the things their respective parties stand for, but this recording really humanises Thatcher. She was a classy lady and he was a charismatic gentleman.
@@donaloflynn
I'm sure reading Hitler's personal letters would humanize him too...
The relationship Reagan had with Thatcher and The Queen was really special. What a guy

Regan respected Thatcher very much. Another of her famous sayings was...now is not the time to go wobbly.

Ronald Reagan
(1911-2004)
and
Margaret Thatcher
(1925-2013)
So much for it being a “private phone call”.
Not a Reagan fan but I appreciate the courtesy he showed to Thatcher. I hope this type of leadership and courtesy is restored among national leaders and statesmen.
It's really fun to hear their thoughts behind the scenes like this, calls that were top secret only a couple of decades ago are now being listened to by anyone who wishes to.
Love it. A respectful well-made and not a cheap shot insult movie about these two would be great to watch and hugely popular.
That's a real President.
Literally we're listening private call recording
Two of the greats gone. How nice to hear their voices again.
In a bygone era when people behaved with dignity, politeness, and pleasantries.
They both ended this bygone era themselves with their presidencies that opened the door for corporate enslavement of the people everywhere which we see today. But most people can't see that.
A genuine mutual respect for eachother. That's a rare thing these days coming from politicians.
When there is respect between partners.
He is unbelievably classy.
Like a brilliant, warm, wise grandpop.
How can anyone not love this man
The people around the world that lost their lives and dignity because of his actions and decisions. They can't.
@cristhian4545 ZERO new world conflicts. Unprecedented security and prosperity. Look at the facts. Your empathy has been twisted into disgust by those who hate us, and focused on the enemy of our REAL enemy. They are not our friends.
Uh the passiveness with apartheid and failure to address the aids epidemic are at least 2 reasons for that
She's the only world leader to have made Reagan apologize for anything. Even Reagan didn't want to get on her "bad side."
What exactly could she have done if he didn’t apologize. The UK was in about as worse shape then as it is now. It took their entire military strength just to retake the Falklands
You are one respected and missed woman Mrs. Thatcher.
Nice to hear 2 great leaders speak so civilly.
Two of the finest leaders of the 20th century. I get goosebumps whenever I listen to this call. 🇬🇧🇺🇸
I love this call. She's none too happy, but she remains cordial. She knows this is a bump in an otherwise very happy alliance. She calls him Ron, she asks after Nancy. Whatever you think of her politics, she was CLASS all the way. And Reagan- compared to Trump he's George Washington. May they both continue to rest in peace.
Plain communication but expressed so much decency and etiquette. Now I have idea how two great leaders communicate in private.
Two great people simply misunderstanding each other. I always thought of Thatcher as a villain when I was younger but I didn't know any better. It is important to do your own research and form your own opinion.
I love how they're on a first name basis.
