Between GFX, XH and XT they really do hit so many niche markets with their products. I love Fuji even though I own some Canon gear. The community is just so unique and creative
Don't forget the x100
and XS !!
Picked up the x100v during the pandemic 2020 and then the xt4 last year and both are unbelievable. Makes photography fun again. The amazing colors out of camera let you focus on composition. Keep the Fuji content !
What I admire about you is I feel the gear reviews you make is backed up by images . Love it man
Love the Fujifilm positivity. It’s definitely the lesser-known hero of the camera world
Man thank you for dropping this Sam. Been loving the work you share on the 100s tons.
I love Fuji too but they will never go FF. They don’t have the financial wherewithal to go toe to toe with Sony and Canon in that arena. That’s why they came out with the GF line. They leap-frogged FF into another niche category.
The gfx line is their ff camera line. Yes it’s medium format but that’s the point. Every camera manufacturer already have a full frame but no medium format so I think it was smart for Fuji to compete with hasselblad and phase one, as both brands are extremely expensive and offers an affordable option when a 40k phase one system is out of the question.
I think this is true, and, if so, it's hella smart, too. Fuji strategists are on point.
Shooting with the X100V myself those images just have such a unique distinctive look. Yet that GFX 100s sensor is something else. I love that incredible depth and maturity those images convey.
Always a treat to watch your videos
Thank you for your content! So relaxing and inspiring to watch, Sam 🙂
*Hello, I'm from Nicaragua, I always see your videos and they are my inspiration, keep it up my bro*
I love my fujis! ❤
Amazing images you captured on the GFX 100S! I appreciate the insight on upgrading equipments needed on post processing considering the file sizes and such.
A series of great images thrown our way with such nonchalance! Good video, I love how you make the night-time outside-looking-in shots so warm and inviting. I'd love a GFX but alas, money. I am however completely and utterly in love with the X100V, which I never leave home without.
If Fuji are to do full frame, an update to the X100V but with a full frame sensor would be my choice, I don't see them bringing out a whole new range of lenses and I'd rather they focused on bringing medium format to the same level of performance with autofocus and processing as they have with the XH2.
Every video is so beautiful. I've been with Fuji for just over 6 years now and they inspire me to shoot. Started with the X100T. Now have the XT3 with the F2 trinity but planning to get a GFX as I focus on landscape and low light. Those new WR lenses keep calling me though.
I feel like APSC is the sweet spot for most people unless you need supreme detail, colour depth and dynamic range for landscape or the tones and highlight rolloff for portrait etc.
couldn't agree more - I recently shot a campaign with the gfx100s and aside from the MASSIVE files and slower autofocus I would use it every single shoot. That being said, I've been an R5 shooter for years and I've just bought the X-H2 to replace the R5 for my professional stills work (mainly fashion) and I've gotta say, I can't see a difference between full frame and APS-C the way these new cameras are performing.
Have you tried out to the new X-H2? Would love your thoughts on it!
7:33 That's all I need. My god those colors look gorgeous
Fuji and 4Runner for the win!!!
Beautiful pictures. I shoot family stuff with an X100V and I really like it.
Some of the most fun I have shooting is with my x100t. I’d love one of the medium format models for portraiture
You should do an updated studio tour. If there have been any new changes. I’m looking to get a new monitor to do my work. Any advice or suggestions as to any you recommend?
Great images. I've been shooting with the GFX 50S for 4 years now, and love Fujifilm as well. If I may ask, what presets or simulations are you using on your images? Love the colors, tone and mood.
Sam, great shots! do you use any Film Simulations (recipes) at all?
I usually use Pentax FF and Leica cameras, but after recently trying and getting a Fuji xpro 3…those Pentax and Leica cameras have just sat in their bags. There’s just something really fun and enjoyable about using the Fuji, which is so much more important to me than some camera or lens specs on paper.
Beautiful photos! Recently picked up a X100V. Can you share some of your favorite film recipes?
I have my R6 and the GFX50S for weddings, but I always use the GFX with the slow AF because of the look.
Why don’t you like using aps-c for stills? I was thinking of switching to Fuji for the film emulations
What would you think about a medium format compact camera? So like a Fuji GA645 just in digital 😄. That would be crazy ❤.
any plans on trying a X2D, maybe renting one ??
Would love to see you try the new XH-S2!
Any particular reason why you don’t like APS-C’s for stills? I have a Sony A7III and was thinking of picking up the X100V for fun and travel. But is there something I should be weary of?
I would like a print of the image at 3:31! Gorgrous color. Also, when I have the money ( 😭) I will be buying a Fuji!
Fuji have stated a few times that they won't go full frame as they see the portability of APSC being a big draw and the larger sensor of the GFX system being the better way to go for extra detail and resolving power. As others have pointed out a FF X100 would be good and as Sony have left their RX1 models hanging then it could be possible to have a fixed lens FF compact from Fuji.
I’ve been a Fuji shooter since xt1 then strictly film with Mamiya 645 pro, then canon 5diii, 1Dxii, back now to XT3, but also love my newly squired 5Dii and 1n 35mm and Hasselblad 500cm. Never selling the cm, and will most likely keep the xt3 to shoot occasional video as I love the 4k and don’t need anything more. I’m considering the GFX50s/r as my next buy to get into DMF. I shoot anything and everything mainly personally stuff, travel, landscape, portraits, with some occasional paid work. Would you think it be better to buy into a newer system with the 100s or 100 with a bit better AF and features or the older 50 version? I would mainly rely on xt3 for fast AF work and GFX for the slower stuff but I do love the resolution capabilities of the 100, but the price of the 50 is more appealing. I think I could warrant the cost of the 100 my being more marketable to clients over the 50 and have more cropping composition options.
I use to own Fuji X-T2. Now, I am planning to get another camera, was thinking of getting a full frame. I am torn between X-T4 and Canon EOS RP. I am open for suggestion. Let me hear y'all. Thanks.
What you think about XT2?)
Thinking about moving towards the GFX 100s for environmental portrait work from a Sony A7IV.
Haha one video after the other, perfect for the long weekend here in Germany.
Hello there German fellow :) you have nice videos!
Fuji aren't going to move into the full-frame market it's far to crowded, so are you going to try Fuji's new X-H2?
Would love to hear you advance the discussion past the obviously large resolution to a focus on what these cameras offer as tools for advanced imaging. Seeing that the range of optics has been expanded quite a bit, aside from color science what major advantages does this offer over something like a Hass? Would you use this camera for scanning? I'm also curious to hear what Thomas would think of a camera like the 100S for video..
personally, my Q2 was the most convenient for it's versatility.. though I'll say the Leica ecosystem is not as expansive as Fuji and if anything it's the one major downside to shooting Leica, their hybrids just aren't as good for LOG video(or at least enough to justify the price tag)
I think I'll shift to the 14 Pro Max for snapshots, and dedicate a full fledge DMF camera to the heavier workloads
Big Fuji energy
I would love to own a fuji camera even as a canon lover
👏👏👏
I would love a full frame version of the X100V, but I don’t see Fujifilm doing that, as that would be the only full frame camera. Now, if they came out with. G100, a slightly larger X100V with a medium format sensor, that thing would never be on shelves depending on the cost. I would be all over that.
About to switch from full frame to Fuji X-H2 for some weight savings.
I love my GFX50s more than my GFX100s. Fuji should have kept that tilt adapter thing.
Hi Samuel. Great stuff. Do you have editing tutorials or do you use presets? I know you mentioned you don’t like to do heavy post work and was curious what you did. Love the work!
I’ve gone from canon to Sony, still use Sony a lot for the ff 4k but I switched to fuji a year or so ago and I can never go back
damn them files are huge
So youre a sony fan
your sound has always smaller than whole yt
£4000 camera. Thank you man but that's mostly out of everyone's budgets. Gas prices going up, bills generally lol but thanks for the video Fuji rocks and nice photos man.
Someone who asks “why do you use fujifilm cameras?” has clearly never tried a fujifilm camera. Great thoughts
01:46
First
200mb ffs
7:27 🤤
Because they gift you free cameras. Duh.. I'd love any camera i'd get for free.
ahahahaha exactly
Say what you want, but I’ve purchased all my gear
Smells like a hater
@@SamuelElkinsPhoto Just being salty because i'd love to have a GFX as well. Keep it up :)
Don't hate!
