Draft day comes around. A perfect draft night for my Spurs: Spurs Receive: picks 7 & 14 Blazers Receive: pick 4 and Keldon Johnson Spurs Draft: #7 - Stephon Castle #8 - Tidjane Salaun #14 - any of - Jared McCain, Devin Carter, Isaiah Collier, Kel'el Ware, Ryan Dunn, etc .
Rockets small forwards are brooks, Thompson, Whitmore, tate, Eason, and bullock. 3 of those guys were drafted in the 1st round in the last 2 drafts so I doubt they go back to the position. The will probably go pg or backup center. Possibly pf.
You’re off the mark with pick #7 and the Blazers. They haven’t committed to a rebuild yet. They must deal Brogdan and Simons on or before the draft. Hopefully for 1st rd picks and/or young bigs. I’d then take Castle at 7 and an upside big at 14. Nobody on the current roster has locked up a starting job.
@@centrehalfbench7: Orlando has voiced some interest. Hometown boy. Simons and Henderson are not a good backcourt duo. Simons is shooter NOT a passer. Both are too short in my opinion. Kody Williams is very skinny and not as skilled as his brother. The Blazers already have a lesser brother on the team in Kris Murray. Blazers should trade Grant at next year’s deadline if not sooner. Robert Williams needs time on the court to establish value before considering a trade. Blazers want to tank for the 2025 draft. They should just go with mainly young guys and just a few older vets.
Risacher's stock is rising. He's put together some strong performances in Europe where he's currently playing. He might go no. 1. Buzelis brings the same kind of potential.
You had Cody to the Hornets a month ago... what changed??? Nothing for the Hornets. Cody fits better and has a higher upside. We swinging for the fences if it's a bad draft anyway.
I’d like the Spurs to trade Keldon Johnson and their 4th pick for Risacher. If we cannot get Risacher I’d like to try getting Matas Buzelis. We can either draft Tidjane Salaun or Ron Holland with our 8th pick.
For our Spurs I’d like Risacher or Matas Buzelis at 4 and 6’10 Tidjane Salaun or 6’8 Ron Holland with our 8th pick. Teams like the Nuggets and Timberwolves have gotten bigger and stronger. Wemby desperately needs guys to help take some of the defensive load off of him. It cannot just be Wemby and a bunch of defensively vulnerable little men out there.
@@jeffhowards9356 The issue with Topic is that he did very little and got 2 injuries to the same knee back to back in just a few months. What is the stress of 82 games in the NBA going to look like if he’s having these problems now. It’s not that we don’t think he’s good, because he’s probably the best stylistic fit for our Spurs. It’s just that there seems to be high potential for being injury prone. But I’m sure that the Spurs medical team will evaluate his case before making their decision.
@@centrehalfbench7 OMG the Lmao at me! From someone that points to a career 1.5stl (in 34.7 mpg) SG with a career high of 2.0 (one season) as having high steal numbers is laughable. Look, I didn't say Reed will be a great defender, but your are implying he will be bad defender. I say Reed will be a much better defender than Harden ever was and I should know. As a long time Rockets fan I saw Harden play all the time and the problem with Harden is he is very immature and selfish. This is evident in many ways because he is not a team player and will never lead a team to a ring. He was more concerned with leading the league in scoring...thus he lead the league in minutes played and it showed up big time in the playoffs...he didn't care about playing D so he would have more energy on O...He could not share the spotlight on the Rockets, thus other star player didn't like to play with him and it was a revolving door...the list goes on and on. I say this because Reed is a very coachable, team first player, extremely committed with a very high BB IQ...he has super quick hands, good lateral movement and can leap over the league. All of which is the makings of a good or maybe even a great defensive player. As far as D in the NBA, the question on Reed is will teams be able to overpower him at 6' 3" with switches...if he lands on a good defensive team...probably NOT...most likely he will be an asset. I see him as a great fit for the Rockets. I still view your evaluation of his D as rubbish. Laugh all you want, but I say in a year from now you will be looking like a fool if he is on a good defensive team.

Elite mock draft as always
You sure nailed that one....Oh look Reed with #3 to the Rockets

Do you think the Blazers do that? Would be interesting guess it works out
What about the 2nd round?
Nikola Topic and on Holland would be two good picks for the San Antonio Spurs, who continue to build through the draft.
I'd be shocked if the spurs went with Topic at 4. Topic may very well wind up being the biggest drop of the night.

Yeah well Simons I think should get traded but they don’t seem to want to/ find someone to do it with

You say Reed Sheppard's D is rubbish, but he had 2.5 stl and .7 blk in 29 min for 33 gms. I think your evaluation of his D is rubbish.
Lmao a tone of guards have high steal numbers like James Harden… doesn’t mean they are great defenders
Bro using steals as an example is crazy work here 💀

Stats mean little. How a player’s defense helps a team win is what is important.
