Can't forget the battle of best PG between Deron WIilliams and CP3. Yup, Deron was a hooper who actually beat Chris Paul in many of their head-to-head matchups. The guy was legit before refusing to follow any of Jerry Sloan's plays, forcing him to resign, then injuries after. That mid 2000's Jazz team was pretty solid: Deron Williams, Carlos Boozer, Mehmet Okur and my favorite player of the team, AK47 himself Andrei Kirlenko.
@@LockdownK I wanted Houston to beat them in the 2007 playoffs. A Conference Finals matchup between TMac and Yao against Duncan, Parker, and Ginobili would be a fun matchup. If they made it to the finals, Yao Ming will feast on the Cavs that only had Lebron and no center that can give him a hard time. Big Zed is a solid starter, but not good enough to contain The Great Wall.
Bogut was a beast. Loved him in Milwaukee but those were the dark days of Milwaukee and Michael Redd and Bogut carried the team so hard that their bodies just couldn't carry it anymore.
That Ersan Ilyasova story is hilarious because he didn't even bother changing his name that much 😂. Mans really went "My name is not Arsen Ilyasov, I don't know who that is. My name is Ersan Ilyasova" 😂😂😂.

That’s crazy that out of all the people to see this video, you are one of them. And glad you can vouch for your friend! I’ll be honest, as far as this drafts top 5 all the picks made sense and worked out in some way. Even in a redraft, it all makes sense, like the only thing I would change is CP3 for Deron tbh.
Chris Paul trade to Lakers was denied by the Hornets for a very good reason. Stern was the acting owner and front office within the organization were adamant that he declines the Lakers offer because all they could offer was aging veterans n a late first round pick. Whereas they got Eric Gordon, Aminu, Kaman and a first round pick from the Clippers. Much better return than a package around Odom, who was never the same and Bynum who never played a game after being traded to Philly.

Bad man video bro. I've actually seen a couple other players use the Gortat screen but always see it as a moving screen don't know how it was never called lol
The example I use in the video def looks like a moving screen lol. But typically the center will screen the guard. And if the guard can get there defender in jail going over the screen (aka the defender is behind the guard) then the center will roll and seal off (box out) his defender so the guard has a wide open lane to the hoop
I can see that but I guess it's not really called because the screener is never really 'set' and is more or less (slowly) pushing the defender out of the way
In a way, I should used a different example because there's a way to seal out the opposing center without doing an illegal screen, or fouling I do it all the time when I play pick up basketball because it's like 80% effective versus other rec players
My 12 Man NBA Squad from 2005 picks: PG Chris Paul, SG Lou Williams, PG Nate Robinson, PG Deron Williams, C Andrew Bogut, C Andray Blatche, PG Jarrett Jack, CG Monte’ Ellis, PF Marvin Williams, F Hedo Turkolu, SF Francisco Garcia, SF Martell Webster, F Danny Granger

It would have been a bit of a tough sell to take Paul first overall back in 2005 considering his lack of size but, clearly, he should have been the top pick.

Lollllllll
Your so wrong about chris paul. He's great but he definitely ain't the greatest to never win anything. He's extremely overrated that's why he never won shit.
Who else would you say is greater who hasn't won any rings or mvps
He is not better than Barkley, mailman a.i or Elgin Baylor
No title OR MVP
@@LockdownK ahh I see win anything at all my bad
@@LockdownK is he better than Dominique, Vince , Tmac or webber?
John Stockton is the greatest. Number 2 is cp3
What makes you take John over CP3? I mean take away Malone are you still giving him the edge? And the stat padding that happened in the 90s doesn't help Stockton's case either
That guy got carried by a guy who can't move into a new town without everyone in a 10 mile radius getting an alert. That aside, Stockton never got closer to a championship as Paul did while being mostly healthy and having better help his entire career. I don't think it's even much of a competition over which one is better
hey i am first
can confirm
David Lee! What a beast!
