    Shoe goo is great stuff, and once it’s bonded it’s nearly impossible to get apart without a bit of work as you have discovered.. works great to strengthen lexan bodies as well

      I got it to use on some bodies to strengthen them! Can't wait to try it!

    Great upgrades I use shoe goo and drywall tape to Reinforce all my basher bodies

      I got it for that use but haven't tried it yet. I was going to start with the body on the Mechanical Speed Controlled Monster (my vintage 4Tec).

    Using a bit of lock tight will help a stripped screw in my experience

    Tamiya also has the heat sink gasket for both 380 and 540 size motors

      What is a heat sink gasket? I am not sure if you are talking about the motor pad or something for the heat sink? Thanks!

    This thing looks much easier to work on than a Rlaarlo or wl toys

      I have no experience with either but have seen some WLToy's cars that didn't look like much fun to work on them!

    Thanks bro for the link to find those red motor pad shims, I'd been needing those but couldn't find 'em. Just got through ordering some.

      Nice! You are welcome. Mine came pretty quickly.
      Could you not remove the motor screws to reuse the stock one too?

    Just got one these other day! So far so good! Just curious on any recommendations for other tires that will fit? Thanks

    • @BriansRCStuff
      @BriansRCStuff  10 месяцев назад +1

      Well, I haven't tried anything yet except my foam tires I use on my 100 mph Bandit. The stock tires from my 16890A were to small (they rubbed) so you just have to be careful that whatever you get are not too small. I will try some of my 1/10th scale tires one of these days!

      I have one of their F540 motors in my vintage Raider and it is outstanding! Got it over 60 mph.Just not as powerful as a 540…. Which is not always a negative!
      I just for some reason like to do stupid things and try to overpower my cars .😂

      @@BriansRCStuff make em go fast till they break brother that's the fun then rebuild and go faster.. I use my f540 for all the tests runs then decide if I'm going big with the 3650 xteam.. man them motors are nice..

      @@BriansRCStuff
      About the F540.. is that why it only has a 45A ESC? Most build sheets recommend at least 60 or 80A ESC with the 540 motor..
      Thanks!

    • @BriansRCStuff
      @BriansRCStuff  10 месяцев назад +1

      @@larrystange yes, the F540 draws less but 45A is still a little undersized. I think a 60a would be perfect and I not sure why they went with 45… maybe it really is enough.👍
      That being said, so far mine is/was good but I haven’t run it on a hot day.
      Yeah, a F540 is really like a 2845 or 2850 with fins that make it the diameter of a 3650. The cooling fan hid it and I didn’t realize at first it was a F540!

    Hey man, great video! But was wondering if you can point me in the right direction for the Motor Pad?

    • @PhantomShinobi
      @PhantomShinobi 6 месяцев назад

      And do we need the Motor Pad or Motor Mount?

    • @BriansRCStuff
      @BriansRCStuff  6 месяцев назад +1

      I am not sure why Red Cat doesn't have them anymore.... this might work: www.thercedge.com/products/p101?variant=26396914309¤cy=USD&srsltid=AfmBOoqd4qJaamF4-H43Jl6yjXYB2u8HZJIlQs7dvIEcwVDgspdTbwvEzAg
      Edit, that site is no good. I am not seeing them in the US.... sadly
      If you find it, please post back who had them. Thanks!

    • @BriansRCStuff
      @BriansRCStuff  6 месяцев назад +1

      @@PhantomShinobi What do you mean? The motor mount is the plastic thing your screw the motor into. The pad goes between the mount and the motor.

    Do you prefer this stock setup over the 2996a? (Say it's upgraded for 3s) ...only real difference looks like the wheels I'm guessing

    • @BriansRCStuff
      @BriansRCStuff  10 месяцев назад +1

      I never have run a 2996a. I think if I had one I wouldn’t have got the 2996a as with my modifications they would be about the same.

    • @Marknewell273
      @Marknewell273 10 месяцев назад

      @BriansRCStuff your mods you mean? I think they're just right 👌 if you're gonna mod it, might as well do it right. You're transmitter/receiver looks nice, you ever compared it to the dumboRC brand? I noticed some have gyro, that got me interested. Maybe a gyro would help keep it straight when cruising at 60+ mph

    • @BriansRCStuff
      @BriansRCStuff  7 месяцев назад +1

      It looks like it’s out of stock on Redcat’s website, but when I googled P101 Redcat motor pad The RC Edge has them.
      Edit, it will not let me check out with them… It looks like they are really hard to find at the moment! I feel my video may be partially to blame. 😣
      Redcat does have a waiting list when you can get notified when it come back in stock.
