Thanks for the vid, man! Looks promising. Are you able to plug in a USB keyboard and rename the titles in Retroarch? From what you described, I'd almost prefer to ditch the included games and put my own in the corresponding folders. Is that possible?

That’s the first battery operated arcade I’ve seen. Pretty cool, for under $100, I think I may have to get one!

I ordered mine from a seller on AliExpress. Mine came with a 64GB MicroSD card, and all of the file names were in english.

Damn dude, I wasn't even remotely interested in these. Since I've been satisfied with my switch...but man these look neat-o as they play all platforms and portable.im not sure which to buy and I Just want one with a lot of arcade ports already built in.

I wish they made a 4 player port for these so we could play 4 players on games like The Simpsons and Wrestlefest.
Might be possible with a USB hub

i have one a12, but thie mini arcade not working for mame ....only can play retroarch fba core 2012 &CRS 123... this time i"m test setting FBA v0.2.97.44 FULLROMS to a12,but so more game title is loading error,i don know what fba roms versions is good from powkiddy a12.
give an example test play"Valkyrie No Densetsu (Japan)"roms is not working. no idea.

To fix all those wrong names, you can edit the name of rom, then edit the game_id_string you can also change box art and more
Have a good look at the Structure of the SD Card and things will make sense
Jaz808 yea I’m fully aware of how to change the names and the images. However since there are thousands of games, the sheer amount of time that would take to correct is unacceptable

this is tempting cause of the nice joystick and I'm tired of waiting for my Retroid Pocket 2 to ship .... just wish it could fold for putting away.
There's a folding model - the Powkiddy A13.
it seems that the system its just reading the names of the roms and not the actual game names...if you have access to the SD card and able to find the roms folder then rename one game to the English name and reboot the unit it may work (lots to change if it works)...that's my hope...good luck !
I would say all those Chinese consoles do the same. Is not the actual game but hey at least is something 👍

That actually looks like a decent system, real shame about the game listings tho'. I wonder if a translations app on your phone would decipher the titles (assuming they're correctly listed that is, and there's no guarantee they are 😁). Thanks 👍👍.
A12 is bigger, slightly cheaper than Rg350 which is in different form factor. So, Is gaming on this more enjoyable than RG350?
weird issues aside this does seem like a really cool unit! I wonder if you can hook it to the TV and have a second player play via USB? I do have a second joystick so it wouldn't be much of an issue.
yes, you can play two players with the connected USB. Even when using the HDMI out and connecting it to your TV.

@@cooltoy I got mine on Friday from the link you provided. Looks like they heard you and made changes. Some of the pics are off and alot of the games are repeated but over all it's a really good buy. I'm disappointed that I didn't get the games I was actually looking forward to playing, specifically Turtles, X-Men Arcade, Alien Vs Predator, the Simpsons and Superman. I wonder if yours came with those games?

Each product is different. Some I get to keep, some have to go onto the next person to review, some have to go back to the manufacture. Every scenario is a little bit different each time.

How is the JOYSTICK?? because i got those earlier version with very small screen and those joystick have no directional box cage, it was really really bad... this sounds like it actually clicks into places, is this true?
also can you plug in any type of controller into those USB port? thanks
the joystick is a true microswitch arcade joystick. SOOOO much better than the old joystick they were putting in the earlier Powkiddy arcade units. I'm sure there are some USB controllers that aren't compatible with the device, however I can't say what is or isn't going to work. I've only tested the USB controller shown in the video.
@@cooltoy thanks a bunch dude. maybe this finally be the one! the previous version joystick made some game unplayable, such as airplane shooter, plane wasn't moving correctly... get bullet hell'ed

You can upgrade the memory up to a 64gb SD card. You can add and remove games from the existing SD card as well.

so if i wanted to put this little arcade into an arcade 1up, how would someone go about it?
you would connect two USB encoders to the USB inputs on the back of this machine, then connect the wires to your joysticks and buttons on the Arcade1up. Then you would need a LCD controller board to convert your existing Arcade1up monitor to allow for a HDMI input, then you would use the HDMI out on the powkiddy a12 and connect a cable between the mini arcade and the LCD controller board. Lastly you would need a 3.5 mm audio cable to connect from the audio out on the powkiddy a12 to the audio in on the LCD controller board.
Would it be possible to just bring my files over from my laptop retroarch?
