Reviewing the QT Pro 2 machine that is commercial grade quality while still affordable enough for the home gym. You can assemble it in less than 15 Min and can be used indoors or outdoors. The closest thing to compare this to would be a lever gym, but otherwise this is truly a very unique machine, especially when you consider how portable it is. This was one of those very hard reviews to do because there's so much to cover without making it a super long video. The

Just received mine in the UK this week! Unreal bit of kit. I’ve tried lever gyms like the powertec and bodysolid versions and this blows them away. Thanks so much William. I don't really think most people will actually bring it to the park, I just shot it outside for the sake of the video to showcase the outdoor feature. I think the outdoor nature the machine is for people who might set it up either permanently or from time to time in their backyard. I actually get this question all the time from people asking if certain equipment can be left outside. I know during summer, I'll for sure just have this set up in my backyard for some occasional outdoor workouts.

If you don't need the portability it might be a tough sell for the space saving crowd at this price point. Hell, the powertec is better on price and despite not being commercial grade, is rated for the same capacity. It does require more space though.

I found 75 lbs resistance bands for my Gr8flex. The issue is that with 6 bands "450 lbs" I slide off the board. With lower weight, I can just hold the bottom of the board, but with more weight it's kinds of tougher. My arms and shoulders seem to get a better work out from holding the bottom of the board when using more weight.

@hybridresistance the gym I go to has things like Chest Press maxout at 300-350 lbs, considering this 220 lbs per arm, then that is better. But compared to squat rack, it probably won't do as much. So it does have its strengths, which is these independent swinging arms.
The pad if designed could just go over the bar attachment you had. So it wouldn't need another attachment. Heck a pool noodle cut may help. But if you want duo pads for squat, that would be another attachment, maybe. You could Calf raises too!

I don't know about the price for a wood design, but you could make that argument with pretty much any squat rack as well. So I'd say the same argument why someone wouldn't just build a squat rack vs pay for an expensive rack would apply here as well.

    • @thisis3379
      @thisis3379 Месяц назад +1

@@hybridresistance A couple jammer arms with two-plane hinges that have come out I saw recently on a rack would be cheaper to about the same price, but with much more built in variety. The point of a simple design should also reflect in the price. Two thirds of the price of this Quantum Trainer seems to be in the 80% of metal framing that is the foundation. Just extrapolate that framing into a $100-200 half-rack and you've got a more affordable home system that more people would buy. This is a massive oversight that will lead to poor sales.
      1) ISO Arms DIY Jammer Lever Arms | Home Gym Power Rack Attachment
      2) The Ultimate Jammer Arms Build! Vendetta, GymPin, Rogue Fitness & More
      3) Jammer arm adapter = better range of motion = now available!
These three are right off the rip. It's 2024 and you can't hide from the highly available competition without clearly perceived benefits in features; no half measures or "might sorta be ok...but limited". I guess the mobility aspect is nice, but who's going to want to lug all the weights along with it for an "impromptu outdoor private class" or something? Hell, that gives me an idea for mobile anchoring system for the home made version. But that's a secret for now~ 😉

Having them vertically loaded allows a little bit more freedom of movement and just feels natural given what the machine does. Something I didn't cover that you'll want a weight plate that has space for handles as my "Strength Co" weights can be so tight together that they're a pain to take off unless I put a spacer weight in-between. For sure, what's hard to come across on camera is the build quality. So I assume at 2k there'd have to be drop in build/metal

Save money and get more functionality with a power rack and jammer arms. This is definitely overpriced for what it is.

This is way different to a rack with jammer arms attached, there’s literally tonnes of movements you couldn’t do with that set up that this machine provides. The QT is in a league of its own from a functionality and versatility standpoint. Anyone just viewing this by RUclips isn’t experiencing what it actually is, what it can do and is really hard to compare it without actually feeling it for yourself. I have this combined with a rack, smith, cables etc and it just takes training to a whole different level. Anyone who loves machine training will adore this.

I got to agree with the commenter here. It's a very different product / feel comparing it to jammer arms. I can see where at first glance you can make that comparison, but it really is a different animal. I'll be putting out more videos showcasing more of these differences so I appreciate these comments.

    Nonsense.
A couple of dumbells/barbells and plates would be more than enough. Keep it simple.

Of course that works too. But there are obviously many reasons someone would want to use other equipment and not be dogmatic with their training.

I totally hear you and pushed back a little bit with my recent update. I do think there are some novel differences, but I am looking to compare this to a decent jammer are set up. Feel free to let me know of one you'd like to see it.
