For AoS Stormcast Eternal lore, Yandrasta isn't the only one who is loosing pieces of themselves as they die. That's all Stormcasts. It's a well known fact in the lore and there is a point where Stromcasts are too far gone to be sent back out into the field.
That Chaos lord on foot is basically a remake of a very old Chaos Lord model that, when you look at him, also looks very chaos warriory, so that I'll let pass. But my god yeah, as you said, Necromunda and Horus Heresy basically got nothing burger reveals. I certainly don't shy away from criticizing GW normally but I think you're actually off the mark with this one. First off Necromunda and HH were listed a teasers in their marketing, which to me was an indication we wouldn't see models and that's an improvement in my book. I'd like to see them continue to separate teasers from reveals in their marketing before these reveals just so we can manage expectations. Now why they counted AoS as a reveal...who knows, guess they felt announcing the new edition was something but I agree they should have had models for AoS at least. Regarding the pre recording, it was 3AM their time, I can't really blame them and if whatever the next show they do reveals on is local for them I expect we'll see a true live show again.
Lied? that's a bit of a stretch. They did show stuff off for the games. The necro and 30k was said it would be a teaser. There was a reveal cinematic trailer that was super rad to watch. They didnt lie about anything lol. Necromunda and HH were going to be teasers as it was mentioned. I dont know why anyone expected models. The AoS trailer could have come with one model reveal like the 40k 10th ed trailer did, but Im not pressed about not getting anything, that wasnt a guarantee either. Most reveals are an hour long actually so that doesnt need to be over exaggerated lol. Usually the big ones like Adepticon are an hour and half anyways. This one unfortunately just had more talking vs actual model reveals. Im sure theyll continue to keep tweaking this new style they are going for. I actually like they had the creators speak about the models and lore, I just want to see still white images of the models as they usually do. Aside from that I enjoyed the model reveals. However I feel they were missing a big centerpiece model like the Lion from last year. The Lady of Ruin was kind of that but the danwbringer centerpeices have been coming consistently so the awe factor wasnt there.
I didn't mind the talking. I'd much rather hear from the game/model designers than the social media guys who just praise everything. Instead of just shooting talking heads, we should got lots of video of the models with them talking over it.
Why are we all pretending that we got a full reveal of wh 40k 10th edition at adepticon last year? All they showed us last year was a trailer, a single terminator, and a single termagant. Why are we always just more mad about aos. Jay you were literally there in person lmao

We could barely see over people’s heads because the screens weren’t high enough, I could barely hear what they were saying because the acoustics were bad (and a few of those British lads talk way too fast), and I couldn’t tell what I was looking at during the model reveals because they either showed a huge group of them on screen at once so they were all tiny, OR they were panning across a diorama shot where the models AND the background were cast in 2-colored lighting so the models just blended into the background and you couldn’t tell what you were looking at. When we got back to the hotel room, we just looked at everything online. We will likely skip the “live” preview next year.
"If you like Necromunda, 30k or Age of Sigmar, you kind of didn't get anything..." Bloodbowl, like last year, wasn't even on the poster! Why not show off one more star player for the Gnome team? Just anything!

They had to make it like that, on the leviathan launch people used measurements to 3d print there own models before release. A few bad apples spoil it and all that
If you are working on your Genestealer Cults then wait for Necromunda: Secundus because Secundus fell to the Genestealer Cults in the lore. I think we could be looking at a new box set GC vs ? Hopefully they aren't going to go the way of Kill Team and use this as a back door to new 40k releases.
To be fair, we didn't see the Leviathan box itself till warhammer fest. At Adepticon 2023 we had 10th edition reveal and two models (Termagaunt and Terminator). Also given history, practically everything in the trailer will appear in model form, just maybe not the quantity of rats 😂 Also Necromunda is rumoured to be going to hive Secundus which was supposedly having a Genestealer cult infestation. The first time I heard the barest bit of lore that the Stormcast came back a little 'off' after each resurrection, I knew the road to chaos Sigmarines was paved.
The master blaster/ muppet man is kinda weird, he makes me think of a dark ages mad max of muppets show. The Necromunda trail was a complete tease, the 30k seemed more like a get excited for the preview. The sigmar trailer was cool, but I thought GW was going to do like chaos stormcasts, they kinda hinted at that in the black talon show. Idk!! Thanks gents!! Fantastic as always!!!
By what you say, Bandai had a much better reveal in terms of both Gundam kits and 30 Minutes Missions' Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon model reveals.
The Brethren of the bolt are actually zealots of sigmar. So like an interesting take on Flagellants that let themselves be struck by sigmars lightning. Cities of Sigmar as a whole is a much more soulseborne style army if you look at their minis.
I liked the chat apart from Phil Kelly repeating himself and the transition guy. They just need to chat over clear still shots of the minis, or even better a slow 360 like the ones from the store.
Three games, including the game the entire show was built around, basically got announcements for announcements. I'm cool with a new edition of AoS, I just wish there was something to actually look at.
I feel like I've been watching some very different preview shows in the past.... Usually an hour long with 10 minutes of corporate waffle between reveals. I just thought that was the norm. I still remember what I believe was a Warhammer Day preview in either 2022/2023 where they dragged out the intro for a good 20 minutes before the first reveal. That was extremely painful to sit through. I believe this particular show was largely hurt by the accidental release of the Darkoath box trailer back during the Warhammer World Anniversary reveals.
I was surprised honestly. I don't know much about AoS but when I say "Sigmar Lied" I was expecting AoS to get all heresy flavored and introduce Chaos Stormast to mirror Chaos Space Marines.
Bloated runtime aside, in the poster they posted about what game systems they'd be showing, they did make sure to separate Necromunda and Horus Heresy. It says "plus exciting teasers" for them and teasers is what we got. 🤷🏼
The "exciting" part was a bit dubious though. AOS trailer/teaser? Exciting. Necromunda? Ehh, not feeling much hype (I say that with Necromunda as my favourite setting). HH teaser? Yawn.
This "how" signifies the start of Jay into a full fledged corvid. The new Warcry idea of a sample size of models from a faction is great. Underworlds did this at the start, but warbands have become way too expensive.
Back in the early 2000's they did it with WH40k. My whole army became obsolete overnight and friends and a few influencers dropped the game. But if you are 20 or younger you might have never heard about it. So they are playing like Disney with Star Wars with their "Legends" lol
Not to defend GamesWorkshop on the Necronmunda and Horus Heresy part, but the poster literally said teasers for both, so I expected nothing. The lack of showing anything for AoS 4th edition and the next 40k armies is what caught me off guard.
*Two. The lords are entirely different kits, hence why each is locked behind a different FOMO box. There's not a single shared part between them. And realistically, those Yaegirs and Brood Brothers will 100% get 40k rules, probably just without a lot of the specialists.
@@ArynCrinni know they are different parts... but are still the same base design but one with different pose and jumppack. its incredibly lazy. and the fomo boxes being only way to get them is bullsh*t.
@@mrmors1344 We may not like it, but there are practical reasons for fomo boxes. You're not wrong that 40k reveals were rather lacking... but we're moving into an AOS edition launch, so 40k releases are going to be rather lacking anyway. We also already have a bit of a backlog for them to release over the next couple of months (Orks, full T'au, Custodes, CSM), at which point we''ll likely have seen previews for at least the next 2 books (GSC and Sisters). The real sad part of it all, is that even with the 10th ed 40k reveal at Adepticon last year, they still didn't show off much. This is just the way things have worked out.
Okay GW did not lie. Both Necromunda and 30K were down as Teases on the event poster all week and if by now you don't know what a "GW teaser" is I can't help you . AoS got the new named Chaos Character , and the new Twin Tailed Crusade Saga book talked about, so technically, _YOU_ are lying 🤣😉 . Just because GW did not show any models for 4th edition starter set does not mean AoS "Got nothing!" While the 30K teaser was very poor, it was always said to be a teaser. The Necromunda one was better as we did see one of the new box set's gangs granted just it's silhouette. I partly agree with you on the new format , as I liked it. I liked the information we were getting and I did not mind it being longer than the normal hour, and guess what? I live in the UK , so being up until 4:15-4:30am is a bad thing, but as it was not the normal arse kissing of "ThE moDeL IS sO AweSOmE!" we normally get but news on why is was designed as it was, on the lore, on the rules, then I did not notice the time. However with them just showing the models in panning videos was horrid, there was more pans in that hour thirty then the entire Great British Bake Off show.
From a chaos space Marine player, I am swimming in those exact models of terminators and marines, the box is kinda lame. And I already have a bunch of Lords do I really need more Lords
My mate and I much preferred the new format, getting some insight into the unit design from the guys who did it is far more interesting than hearing two presenters waffle bollocks and more pictures. I just hope that in the future, if GW keep pre-recording these they'll put them on at a sensible time, like not 4am, because syncing it with an event just seemed irrelevant.
I was hoping for a few new Necron releases. Not new Units, but at least new models for classic characters. They somehow remade Orikan before Trazyn, Zahndrekh and Obyron, and it's just weird. Since there's supposed to be Special Edition of the Infinite and the Devine coming out this year, i hope they'll jump on the opportunity to release a new Trazyn at the same time at least :)
@@AngryAcolyte I'm a Guard player 😂And well, old Necrons were looking a bit lame. That being said, one or two new character mini isn't going to prevent any other Faction from getting major releases. It's just that not having Trazyn updated is like... I don't know, one of the main Heroes of your Faction not updated if your Entire Faction would get an update.

The Brethren of the bolt are actually zealots of sigmar. So like an interesting take on Flagellants that let themselves be struck by sigmars lightning. Cities of Sigmar as a whole is a much more soulseborne style army if you look at their minis.
Jay: This year I'm focusing on my death guard and drukhari
Also Jay: So I've been working ln my gsc... 😭
Good to know sleeping through the reveals at Adepitcon was a good use of my sleep, albeit fun chat is fun.
I'm growing more and more disenchanted with every flying or jumping model/hq having more or less the same weird mid jump/flight poses.
The poster said Horus Heresy and Necromunda was a teaser not a preview...
Man, that reveal stream just screamed “We’ve got money to burn” to me.
On adepticon the crowd got quite excited for the TOW dwarves and skavens
HH teaser? Yawn.
Necromunda reveal was to a certain unarmed hive city like the books from campaign didn't already say succundus
age of sigmar got those chaos guys with the last book before the refresh and they did have on the poster TEASERS for necromunda and Horus Heresy
I was so excited about aos stuff, and then they said that they are simplifying and rewriting it and that was super disappointing to hear.
I had really hoped for something for Adepta Sororitas to go with the upcoming codex. Perhaps when that comes.
I consider the huge animation and "announcement" as a reveal!
So they are playing like Disney with Star Wars with their "Legends" lol
never been to adepticon, found out i live 45 mins away, going next year for sure. too busy painting this weekend 👍
It would be nice to see GW bring out some models for the steel legion. They could do a nice kit for kill team at the very least
those chaos marines where the most chaos marines in a long time
The chaos lady with the spear is valkia the bloody
Not to defend GamesWorkshop on the Necronmunda and Horus Heresy part, but the poster literally said teasers for both, so I expected nothing. The lack of showing anything for AoS 4th edition and the next 40k armies is what caught me off guard.
"Too many fake words in a row". In Star Trek we used to call that Treknobabble. Need to come up with a similar word for GW.
I click for the _"How"_ and stay for the show ✨
I think your thinking of Valkia the Bloody? In regards to the Chaos-dragon riding spear lady
men coming out of a horse... best description ever of a centaur!! 🤣🤣
I no longer feel as bad for falling asleep during the live show at some point
correction. there was one 40k mini reveal, and an optional backpack attachment
@@ArynCrinnme having wanted a csm army; no choice but to try for both... and hopefully get one before they sell out
Okay GW did not lie.
Just because GW did not show any models for 4th edition starter set does not mean AoS "Got nothing!"
While the 30K teaser was very poor, it was always said to be a teaser.
I spit my coffee when you told me a man coming out of a hors 👍🏼😂
The Chaos Lord with Jump Pack looks like he's dancing
From a chaos space Marine player, I am swimming in those exact models of terminators and marines, the box is kinda lame. And I already have a bunch of Lords do I really need more Lords
My mate and I much preferred the new format, getting some insight into the unit design from the guys who did it is far more interesting than hearing two presenters waffle bollocks and more pictures. I just hope that in the future, if GW keep pre-recording these they'll put them on at a sensible time, like not 4am, because syncing it with an event just seemed irrelevant.
Are the knee joints for the the centaur back legs, backward?
I think that adds to the model looking so weird
It looks to me like the back legs are actually humanoid legs, which given the nature of the Bonerboys makes sense, if looking a bit weird.
i turned the pirate ogre into an ogryn commissar
I was hoping for a few new Necron releases.
Not new Units, but at least new models for classic characters. They somehow remade Orikan before Trazyn, Zahndrekh and Obyron, and it's just weird.
Since there's supposed to be Special Edition of the Infinite and the Devine coming out this year, i hope they'll jump on the opportunity to release a new Trazyn at the same time at least :)
You’ve basically had a whole range refresh with indomitus. Let other people have something 😂
Patriarch gets two activations in one round. It's sick.
