Been an avid fan of this channel since I started my running journey a few years back.... Yesterday I signed up for Ironman 70.3 in Panama City! From being an overweight teenager, to a daily runner, to a half marathon runner, to a soon-to-be ironman used to feel like a shot in the dark.... Now it seems like a reality as each training session goes by. Thanks for being the unsung hero of the running/ tri influencer community and thanks for showing us how to keep on going!
Signed up for a sprint tri in a couple months! Been a competitive swimmer my whole life but need to train a lot for the bike and swim even though it’s short. Enjoying the process so far. Hope you keep making videos!
Did AJ get the full rate today?!? Great vid as always Alec. I was wondering how you use your whoop in tandem with your garmin, do you always wear both? Which do you trust more?
Hey legitimate question: I use to ride road bikes and was bothered by groin numbing from the mid thigh to the belly button and everything in between. Has that ever been addressed by professional riders and if so what seat can you recommend as I have a peloton now and want to ride it, but for me it would be the equivalent to someone running with a broken toe.
Dang! Pain is usually due to the bike not being set up properly (having someone fit you on the bike) as well as a saddle you’re not liking and it used to. And of course, my favorite….stretching
Flying out to O'side for the 70.3 on April 6th. Will I see you there!? Would love to cheehoo a shakeout run with you the week of! Yeehaw! Thanks for the tips dude!
You should do a video with your must have equipment recommendations for someone new to ironman training! I.e. whoop vs garmin watch, things to look for when first buying a bike, clothing / gear, etc.. someone just starting out and not trying to break the bank. Love the channel, keep it comin!
