Gokarna is beautiful but these things you should know before visiting gokarna because these influencers don’t cover them. I went there in 1st week of December and faced these problems 1. Please carry cash because most of the places, there is no network 2. Only 1 petrol pump in town 3. only BSNL network available in the routes of yana caves. No petrol pump, no restaurant in the route of yana caves (our scooty got punctured, and we had to call mechanic from town. Yana cave is 50km away from town) 4. no wind in beaches other then the gokarna beach. It was damn hot. 5. no usable washroom , no drinking water facilities inside the gates of yana caves . You have to reach temple for drinking water which is 1.5 km walk and more than 150 stairs.
The place is great but to reach there you gotta fly or swim across the ocean and reach the place, there are NO ROADS . Drive or ride your way from Mountains to Gokarna. State government has neglected these ancient Hindu holy places.
Some places would be for people who are travel enthusiasts. They research and go to places and enjoy responsibly .By doing these shorts/reels and exposing remote places, nonsense people go there and fill the entire place with filth and dirty making it the worst nightmare. Think about this before u share about places.
Because Gokarna is not Goa and there is nothing about it ..I went to Gokarna seeing RUclips videos like yours and was cheated. Gokarna comes no where to Goa..
@@stoicreader bro there is not many options for stay or for eating in Gokarna like in Goa. It is too small a place to be as lively as Goa. The water sports you go to any beach destination in India, you are going to get the same thing. It’s just the vibe of Goa that attracts you there. Gokarna is good in its own ways but I think Gokarna is being projected as next goa just to create some economic activities there. There is no night life in Gokarna like in Goa. Overall Gokarna is the goa for locals who stay near it.

Local ppl are very bad....they charge anything....for bike they were charging 1200 per day....which is normally 400 per day
