Commovente. 08/03/2017
When Bruce FIRST introduced this song, at the 2006 New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Fest he made the comment, "there are at least a dozen people on thses grounds right now that can do this better than me... but I'm going to take a turn." This version is triumphant! But I would suggest that even The Boss would disagree with your perspective on the song in general.
Lástima que este magnífico vídeo no se haya completado con los nombres de los otros grandes artistas...No hay dudas sobre Bruce Springsteen pero...¿y los otros?

Now some say that this world of troubleis the only world we will ever see, but I am waiting to see the new world reveal.....I don't know if that was part of the original song but that verse right there brought tears to my eyes.
This video runs 5:55 that number represents the casting off "When the Saints Go Marching In" there will be a casting off of the old body, life, earthly garments. The Saints get new white linen garments to go with the *New Heaven * only it will be more like "I'll Fly Away." 'Hello Sunshine" I want to stay in that number. Hope to see you in that New Heaven. Get some oil in your lamps and keep it burning!!!
A long time favorite song of mine made better by the genius of Springsteen, and the wondrous talents of everyone else on the stage. What a perfect setting to offer up this well-known gospel.. and an amen. ( the kind of song I want to sing along with.. oh, when the saints are marching..) oh yes, and listen to that horn.
I really don't like that crowds start cheering throughout the song. Makes me think of opera and classical pieces. People there know there is reverence for a song. It is ok to cheer, but stop drowning out the artist. It may not be my favorite, but I like this rendition.
I saw Bruce do this version at the '06 N.O. Jazz Fest ( 8 months after Katrina) and it was hard to find a dry eye at the Fairgrounds that day. ALSO, the N.O.Saints were drafting Marques Colston with the 252nd pick in the 7th round at the same time . Talk about an omen!
We are all traveling in the footsteps Of those that'd come before And we'll all be reunited On that new and sunlit shore When the saints go marching in When the saints go marching in Lord, how I want be in that number When the saints go marching in And when the sun refuses to shine When the sun refuses to shine Lord, how I want to be in that number When the saints go marching in Oh when the saints go marching in Oh when the saints go marching in I wanna be for that number When the saints go marching in Oh when the trumpet sounds its call When the trumpet sounds its call Lord, how I want be in that number When the trumpet sounds its call Oh when the saints go marching in Oh when the saints go marching in How I want to be in that number When the saints go marching in Now some say this world of trouble Is the only one we'll ever see But I'm waiting for that morning When the new world is revealed Oh when the new world is revealed Oh when the new world is revealed Yeah I want to be there on that morning When the new world is revealed Oh when the saints go marching in When the saints go marching in Lord, how I want be in that number When the saints go marching in Once more When the saints go marching in Go marching in When the saints go marching in Go marching in Lord, I want to be in that number Be in that number When the saints go marching in Go marching in Lord, how I want Lord, how I want Be in that number To be in that number When the saints When the saints Go marching in Go marching in
I come back to this video. I need the uplift. How destressing to run into people on this wonderful social media who use it to rip into others in order to make themselves feel bigger. ( something that doesn't work BTW )
@xieh000 what do you mean by "the singer" do you mean all of them or just the ones in the video.... surely you cannot mean ALL singers because there will be quite a lot of them who are pretty bad...
I am amazed, I keep listening to this rendition every month for severalntimes ❤
This truly has to be the most beautiful and eloquent version of this song...it has so moved me. And I look forward to being among that number.....
His smile when Patti sings🥰
My father always sung this beatiful song!

This still gets me shivering after ten years. wow.

Very good interpretation, very nice gospel song. Brava Patti. Thanks Bruce
Reading my heart and singing my song!! I love this !!!!
Didn't expect to be so moved spiritually ... but WOW!
You can worship to this!
No words can aptly describe this.
Honesty and intention are real, lord’s knows we are imperfect, he loves us regardless us.
It’s like walk on a cloud great!
@mattmiller1978 No, but there is a CD of these concerts---Bruce Springsteen Live In Dublin--that contains this version.
Beautiful
Grazie! Meravigliosi

I've just discovered this masterpiece......

This is beatiful. Praise the Lord.
Great rendition of a beautiful hymn. Sung perfectly by Bruce and his band member 🙏✝️🎸🎸🎸🎸

last time i heard this i cried now that my mom has passed hearing it again im right back to that day....
Die Frau ist Bruce's Frau, Patti Scialfa.
Not ashamed to say it.....I'm from Louisiana and cried my eyes out the whole song.....If y'all knew what this meant to us you would understand.
@jacobandvicki this is not a fast song, its done very well. what's not to like?
Lástima que este magnífico vídeo no se haya completado con los nombres de los otros grandes artistas...No hay dudas sobre Bruce Springsteen pero...¿y los otros?
Springsteen is truly a living legend
Get ready !! Jesus is coming back again!!!
I didn't care for this rendition at all except for the trumpet solo. Too slow for my taste..
he sounds good.
Bellissima versione!! Il ragazzo col cappello e stupendo!! Ha una voce bellissima!!!😀😍😍😍😘😘😘🎶🎶💎💋🎷🎸💫
Who are the singers (besides Springsteen)?
I want to look up other videos of them.

"When The Saints Go Marching In" = 158 (Reverse Single Reduction)
I coached with saints for a decade & the song always pumped me up - but the boss & company take it to another level - rick venturi

I have sung this song so many times in church, but really like this unique version. Awesome
O when the saints go marching in. This is coming soon and very soon. The Spirit and the Bride say come. Even so, come Lord Jesus come.
I really don't like that crowds start cheering throughout the song. Makes me think of opera and classical pieces. People there know there is reverence for a song. It is ok to cheer, but stop drowning out the artist. It may not be my favorite, but I like this rendition.
Bruce didn't have a prayer of matching the Jazzmen's version of this song..So why not put his own stamp on it....turn it into a dirge...
Originally a slow number, so Bruce took it back to the roots.
I think this might just be my favorite performance of this song ever.
Mine too! 🙏
Great, thank you for posting! Merci beaucoup und herzlichen Dank!
therefore the boss

The boss!
We are all traveling in the footsteps
Of those that'd come before
And we'll all be reunited
On that new and sunlit shore
When the saints go marching in
When the saints go marching in
Lord, how I want be in that number
When the saints go marching in
And when the sun refuses to shine
When the sun refuses to shine
Lord, how I want to be in that number
When the saints go marching in
Oh when the saints go marching in
Oh when the saints go marching in
I wanna be for that number
When the saints go marching in
Oh when the trumpet sounds its call
When the trumpet sounds its call
Lord, how I want be in that number
When the trumpet sounds its call
Oh when the saints go marching in
Oh when the saints go marching in
How I want to be in that number
When the saints go marching in
Now some say this world of trouble
Is the only one we'll ever see
But I'm waiting for that morning
When the new world is revealed
Oh when the new world is revealed
Oh when the new world is revealed
Yeah I want to be there on that morning
When the new world is revealed
Oh when the saints go marching in
When the saints go marching in
Lord, how I want be in that number
When the saints go marching in
Once more
When the saints go marching in
Go marching in
When the saints go marching in
Go marching in
Lord, I want to be in that number
Be in that number
When the saints go marching in
Go marching in
Lord, how I want
Lord, how I want
Be in that number
To be in that number
When the saints
When the saints
Go marching in
Go marching in

Hell yeah
A masterpiece of 20 sec. Just wow.
And somewhere on high, #Satchmo smiled.
I come back to this video. I need the uplift. How destressing to run into people on this wonderful social media who use it to rip into others in order to make themselves feel bigger. ( something that doesn't work BTW )

Amazing! Thank you for this.
Beautiful
@pendragon246 im sorry, im stil learning english, but what does "Number" mean in this song? (Im pretty sure it's not talking about 1,2,3 xD)
It's an old band/dance hall term that means "song". (And, I know, I'm 7 years too late)
Uniqe vibration in her voice, just love it ❤️
Překrásné originální zpracování jednoho z nejznámějších spirituálů.
so gorgeous version :) God bless the singers..
This song is probably better than "climbing Jacob's Ladder" by the Boss.
🙏💙💛💙💛💙💛💙💛💙💛💙💛💙💛💙💛💙🙏
beautifyl and divine
Amen and amen to that
