Hey fellas, I am one of those niche collectors who lately has changed my focus from “superheroes” to the greatest time in my life, Saturday morning cartoons and some of the 1st appearance in comics of those characters, Grape ape, Dick Dastardly and Mutley, Squiddly Diddly, Wally Gator, so forth and so on.
Perkin's 55+ year old menu!!! 🤣🤣 I turned 55 this year and hated that I jumped into the next age bracket boxes on all of those internet forms! Your sister is lucky to have survived that shot across the bow!
Found some other notable '86 gems you guys may not have covered to make it sound even sweeter! Thundercats from Star Matt Wagner's Grendel ongoing The awesome beginning of X-Factor Elektra:Assassin Daredevil: Born Again Punisher 1st solo (which I believe you guys covered) Captain America Annual 8! (YES!) Solson Christmas Special Samurai Santa 1 (If you know what it is you'll appreciate it even more) And one final smash...Megaton 3 1st full Savage Dragon!!! 1986 is hitting home runs all day
Richard and John another good show. I wanted to mention one of the perks of being a member is you get a producer credit to add to your resume. Hollywood here I come!
John, don’t you dare besmirch the memory of Kitty/Wolverine! It was one of the first comics I picked up after discovering Wolverine. As a 10 yo in 1984, it had 80s colors, ninjas, and Wolvie! Richard, thanks for dredging up my memory for this series. Now I have to go find the box it’s in and check it out again. 👍
You're wrong, John, on why Space Ghost was popular. It wasn't his fantastic costume. The one reason (among many others) he was popular was because of his awesome introduction by Gary Owens-----"Spaaaaaaaace Ghooooooost!"
Nothing like an Uzi in 9mm - just ask Arnie in the first Terminator movie. The Herculoids: one of my all-time favourite cartoons growing up. A dragon with laser beam eyes? A multilegged pseudo-triceratops which shoots energised rocks from its hollow horn? How could any kid not love it? Oh, and once again designed by that Toth guy.
Speaking of the Falcon's costume (Green vs. Red and White), The Ladyhawk twins (from the Spider-Girl book) had a great looking variation on the Falcon's original green outfit. (Does everything always come back to Spider-Girl on this show?)
I think I might have diagnosed myself with autism, the split line in the kitty/wolverine comic doesn't match with the split line between john and richard, so it's driving me crazy...ok space ghost, i'm good now
I saw that video that Still Only 35c posted with the backwards book. Someone at CGC had a huge brain fart! Absolutely ridiculous. Completely unacceptable quality control... pfft... what quality control!

“He is, John” made me howl lolol
Space Ghost coast to coast was amazing! Looked forward to it every week, especially the first few seasons. All hail Brak!

Every book is someone's favorite! 👍🏻
Richard may prefer to forget but Space Ghost had three villainous co-stars on C2C. Zorak, Moltar and Brak. I LOVED that show 😂
One of the best Kirby covers has to be kamandi #1

Sony retains Spidey movie rights so long as they make a Spider-Man movie every ~9 years or so.
If Kitty/Wolverine was created out of the popularity of Wolverine, then why in the world is he not on the cover??
Including Wolverine is likely how Claremont convinced the publisher to do a Kitty Pride mini-series.
Space Ghost - Coast to Coast was an abomination.
Longbow Hunters is '87 and Watchmen is definitely '86. I cheated I cheated I looked online
I always found Chris Claremont was only as good as the artist he was paired with. So when that artist is Al Milgrom... see ya later!
