& Rainbows🌈 to perform.
He also gave me Wishin' & Hopin' (Dusty Springfield), I Know a Place (Petula Clark) & Goldfinger (Shirley Bassey), each so iconic! I was 17 years old reaching for the stars🌟🌟🌟
And the day of our live TV performance I walked onto a set that brought the song to life❤️.
The Shindig Dancers and 'Wrecking Crew' musicians that made up the house band gave me a Broadway experience."
Broadcast 8-11-65, this Donna Loren performance was backed up by Darlene Love and The Blossoms, the Wellingtons, the Shindig Band and The Shindig dancers. Song was written by Marvin Hamlisch and made famous by Lesley Gore.
Donna Loren was the one-and-only "Dr Pepper Girl" from 1963 to 1968. She was signed to a long-term contract with the soft-drink company to sing all television and radio commercials, do all magazine and billboard advertising representing them in every capacity, sometimes sharing the spotlight with American Bandstand's Dick Clark. This relationship led to her touring in Dick Clark's Caravan of Stars with other popular acts like Diana Ross and The Supremes and singing solos in the popular Beach Party films starring Annette Funicello and Frankie Avalon. Later, she became the regular female vocalist on the popular 60's American live rock n roll TV show "Shindig" and she appeared in singing and acting roles in many iconic TV shows like Batman, The Monkees, Gomer Pyle, The Mothers-In-Law, Red Skelton, Milton Berle and various game shows. She's released 22 singles, an LP album and 4 CD's. You can find her music on all major streaming services.

I'm new to your channel I'm really excited hearing 1960s music and seeing the artists… Though I am an older guy I missed the 60s and I feel I missed the greatest era music ever… My age bracket put me for music in the 70s but forget it the 60s is where it was at and it still is… Need more videos these are great
