My interpretation is that the British Republic after the Civil War will actually end up in a French 7YW victory in America due to the fact that instead of Puritans moving to America, the Catholics (especially the Irish) do and decide to give their allegiance to France as France promises to let them expand the American settlements past the Appalachian mountains.

Always wondered why Germany was so willing to cast off Russia as an ally despite their similar forms of government and strategic positions (although an industrialized Russia could never be a sustainable ally). I'd be interested to see a video on what if France was partitioned after the first Napoleonic Wars (though this seemed HIGHLY unlikely) and if Austria had helped Russia in the Crimean War (even if Russia loses this might have interesting later effects such as Russian involvement in the Prussian-Austrian war).

The idea is the following, what if America had worked out and I'm not talking about the USA, but rather the entire American continent, examples: Argentine Confederation Bolivian Peruvian Confederation Central America Federation empire of Brazil Haitian empire. logical? You must be wondering how this will work and in simple logic, like a butterfly effect, we will have several events that have a domino effect in America, as if the Brazilian Empire supported the Peruvian Bolivian Confederation or another country in America and so on.

A russian-german alliance doesn't sounds that unplausible on paper, as most of their interests doesn't conflicts with each other. The problem is Austria.

I don't really see any reason why Germany wouldn't go through Belgium here either. Since Britain is already in this war by default its guarantee on Belgium is irrelevant. It gives Germany an advantage over France AND likely an extra post-war client state (who's giant colony it can take in the treaty).

Furthermore, if the Germans didn't go through Belgium, it means that the rich industries of the North are still on our hands, making us even more capable to fuel the war machine than we did historically (we still did great historically). Finally, without the Belgian front, the French aren't caught off guard by the advancing Germans and are firmly entrentched and the front isn't that large, meaning they are more men for the shorter front. Those men were united against the Germans despite their political differences and the war would see talented genrals emerged like Foch, Joffre, Pétain, de Castelnau... This is IMPOSSIBLE that the German can breakthrough the heavely fortified border with France. They cannot, under any circumstances, beat us if they don't go through Belgium. The South of the border is a mountain range, the Vosges, easily defensible and the North while flat, was heavily fortified to prevent a breakthrough of any king remembering very well the defeat of 1870.
No fort is invincible, if the allies could pull off D-day, anything is possible.
I don't really see any reason why Germany wouldn't go through Belgium here either. Since Britain is already in this war by default its guarantee on Belgium is irrelevant. It gives Germany an advantage over France AND likely an extra post-war client state (who's giant colony it can take in the treaty).
@@amongdrip8073 Never said that, but this was an extended line across the German border. Furthermore, if the Germans didn't go through Belgium, it means that the rich industries of the North are still on our hands, making us even more capable to fuel the war machine than we did historically (we still did great historically). Finally, without the Belgian front, the French aren't caught off guard by the advancing Germans and are firmly entrentched and the front isn't that large, meaning they are more men for the shorter front. Those men were united against the Germans despite their political differences and the war would see talented genrals emerged like Foch, Joffre, Pétain, de Castelnau...
TLDR : the Germans had to go through Belgium !
@@legaullonapoleonien8760Germany had a significantly larger industrial base than France even without occupying the provinces around the Franco Belgium border. 90% of french artillery shells before the war were produced by German manufacturers in Germany. Germany produced more than 50% of the worlds coal and as much steel as France and Britain combined.
