Actually, while Marg Downey eventually made this character her own, the "SBS Woman" IS in fact based on one of the original presenters back in the late 80's/early 90's. The original presenter appeared in the afternoon and gave viewing highlights for afternoon childrens programmes - and Marg's early appearances as the SBS woman was almost spot-on to the original presenter.
