I loved your excitement, I could feel it coming through my screen. The beauty of travelling is not only the destination, it's also very much the journey getting there.😊 I get just as excited when experiencing something new. Looking forward to your Tassie adventures & the beautiful moments & memories you capture. 😊😊Safe travels 😊😊much love ❤❤
I was on the boat 9th august 2023 leaving Devonport then again on the 30th August 2023 to come back home after doing a fabulous road trip with my partner . It was fun i love sailing
Thanks for this! Looking to do this as a family later in the year and we are like you guys seem to be. Early and keen to do everything. Best travel video I've seen recently, that would be down to your enthusiasm and you guys just being yourselves. Keep it up.
Glad to see the coffee machine was safety priority number 1 😂 Just love your enthusiasm for everything you do. Tassie is going to be fabulous. Making so many wonderful memories 💖
🤣 We definitely have our priorities in order! We needed a coffee after staying up all night playing Pac Man. Thank you!!! We're so excited to be here and have had so many amazing experiences already 😊
Lovely My first ever trip by myself driving on a ferry. I was so nervous and driving on the other side of the road when I went to Portugal this year and loved it. Have a great time. Look forward to seeing your adventures.😊
Oh how stressful to start with but so glad you ended up enjoying it, we bet Portugal was incredible! 😍 I think we each would have been extra stressed if we were doing it solo but now that we've done it once we're looking forward to more ferry experiences in the future ⛴️
Awe you guys are so cute. I love how excited you get about everything - especially animals. Everything certainly is 'boujee'' 🤣 Thanks for another great video and looking forward to the Tassie series.
We'd experienced so little travel prior to our lap of Aus that everything is new and exciting (and how can we not be excited for all the incredible animals 🦘🐨) 😅 Everything is boujee when you set your expectations low 🤣 I think we'd thought more about how our van would be in the ferry than what the actual ferry would be like. Thank you, can't wait to start exploring Tassie!! 💙
@@lydiaandwehan And don't change a thing. Seeing everything with fresh eyes is priceless. Don't give that gift up! BTW Wehan is amazing. I'm a professional marketer and my videos aren't as good as his! My van is finished and I'm heading off in a few weeks myself. Safe travels and I might see you 'on the road'.
@@MichellePeebles-ve1vr Thank you so much, that's so nice of you to say! 💙 I think he's super talented but I might be biased 😂 How exciting to have your van finished and ready to set off! Hopefully we do see you on the road, whereabouts are you starting from?
@@lydiaandwehan I'm in northern NSW so I will probably do the same as you guys and stay close to home for a while until I get my confidence up. I've learnt a lot from your videos haha (also have a composting toilet) but it's all new to me and I don't have an amazing Wehan when things go wrong. But I'll get there. It's a wonderful community of people so I won't be alone. Are you guys heading north after Tassie? I'm working 3 days a week for a company so I need to be online office hours, hence I won't be moving quickly. Nor do I want to either. I'm looking forward to seeing all the tiny towns and meeting the locals with a thousand stories. Safe travels. Looking forward to the Tassie series.xx
@@MichellePeebles-ve1vr That's the perfect way to travel, taking it slow and getting to see all of the 'non-touristy' spots. You'll have such an amazing time! It's great that you can work remotely and do that. So glad you've found the videos helpful. I'm definitely very lucky to have Wehan to be able to tackle any technical issues that pop up 😅 But you're right the van life community is lovely and they'll be able to help you along the way. Yes, after Tassie we're going to continue anti clockwise around Aus.
Thank you! We have heard that from fellow travellers on the road.. so haven't booked our return ferry yet and expect to spend around 6 months here. Hopefully one of the new ferries will have arrived by then and we can book it for the way back 🤞⛴️
Yep, we managed to catch it just after it had been serviced in Hobart. We were hoping we'd be able to catch the Spirit of Tasmania III for the return trip (if the build is finished by then)🤞 And yes the Pac Man game was great, we really debated buying it after the ferry trip 🤣
@@lydiaandwehan The Spirit of Tasmania III was in service from 2003 to 2006, which ran from Devonport to Sydney, but there will be the Spirit of Tasmania IV & the Spirit of Tasmania V that will be replacing the Spirit of Tasmania I & the Spirit of Tasmania II in 2024.
If you are going overnight on the ferry definitely book a cabin. If you choose to use the recliners(seats of death) you will not sleep and will regret it.
Hi! I love your videos and I am mystified that more people haven't subscribed.... I was just watching another video about how RUclips works and the guy commented that the more people who interact with your videos, the more your videos are pushed out to people... So, I wanted to suggest that every once in a while, (not with everything, because that would be annoying) you low key ask for opinions. Like, should this wall be blue or white? or whatever... just something to trigger a quick reply from people watching. You guys are awesome and your videos are great, so more people should be watching. Have a great week!!!
Awh thank you so much, we're so glad you've been enjoying them and we appreciate your support. 💙 We've had a lot of fun making the videos and it's been amazing to be able to look back on all of the amazing things we have done and seen. That's a great suggestion, we'll have to give it a shot in the future 😊
Great video guys, that gaming thing you said which was intended for kids, will anyone still let any adults play on there cause it didn't look like anyone was there with you two. I was just wondering cause that gaming thing looks so fun
Thank you! Luckily for us no age limits on the gaming station 😏 It was so much fun, already excited for the way back just to play games 🤣🎮 Even when we first hopped on the ferry it wasn't that busy, I think because it was a night sail most people had dinner and then went straight to bed.
I love travelling on the ferry, but my wife gets seasick, we don't drive, we live in Sydney, and we're mostly visiting Hobart. It's horribly inconvenient.
That's such a shame! We have family members who get really seasick and it's awful. Hopefully you still get to do a lot of exploring of Tassie when you're visiting, I believe there's a few tours from Hobart that could really help since you're not driving 😊
@@lydiaandwehan- we're both from Tassie and my MIL would be happy to drive us around as much as we want once we're in town! But, gosh, I'd love to travel by ferry! Still, watching you two enjoy it was good, too.
That depends on a lot of things! - With a ferry you can take your vehicle over also. We've been road tripping Tasmania for 3+ months now in our van (which came over on the ferry). With a flight we wouldn't have had our van. - The ferry was an experience in itself. We really enjoyed the ferry and had so much fun exploring it (and playing games). If you struggle with seasickness you'd probably hate it and prefer flying. - Pricing/specials. I think typically the ferry is cheaper than flights over from Melbourne but this can depend on time of year and what specials are on.
The ferry is way too expensive and it should be day sailings only, as impoosible to sleep in the recliners or air conditioned dried up cabins especially when rough..
🤣 Wehan is South African and I'm English. We both immigrated over with our families to Australia when we were young (8-10) so we have these weird mixed accents that always confuse people!
March will be our 3rd trip and we are all still as excited :)

Shower has a Thermostatic mixing valve, you can adjust the temperature. 38 degrees C is a safety stop which you can bypass by pressing the button.

I kept looking for the bar, it does have a bar doesn't it ?
Instead of getting the boat from Melbourne, we now have to get it from Geelong. I'd love to go on it but I also suffer sea sickness
At 10.17... "Is that Melbourne.."? No, actually that is a oil refinery around 3 kms away from you..... owned by Viva, formally owned by Shell.
Ohh that's what it was! Thank you.. we drove by it when we headed into the city the week earlier so should have known 🤦♀️
