Thank you for the video Josh, it was very informative. We are glad that you enjoyed your journey with Spirit of Tasmania. Now that your a Spirited Traveller, we hope to see you onboard again soon!
Just read trip advisor and it will lift the lid on what it's like to travel in the spirit of Tasmania. this smells of a free trip. You should be ashamed of your service spirit of Tasmania.
@@joshsticko Are you angling for a free trip on this terrible boat, get a proper job josh, I'm sure your parents are annoyed you're selling your soul to a crooked company like this.
This was a great video. I'm driving from Brisbane tomorrow and will be boarding the Spirit of Tasmania next week. After watching this, I feel more relaxed about the procedure, so thank you. I very excited about my journey now.
Such a great quality video! I have previously helped with the detailed civil and traffic design of the port of Devonport which will serve the new spirit of Tasmania ships from 2024 and onwards. Will definitely get on board some time soon!
If you know how to disable your car alarm for the voyage that would be a good idea. The movement of the ship sets off many people's alarms and if they continue to sound on and off for ten hours you might have a flat battery the other end.
As my handheld camera I used a Canon 250D (also called 200 mark II in some countries), with a Sigma Art 24-35mm f1.8 lens. I also used a dji mini 3 pro for the ariels (drone shots)
Yes you can set a barbecue up in you cabin. They let you down into the engine roon and cook up a steak on the red hot turbo charger. My snags were perfect.
Helpful. However I was under the impression you were allowed to stay in your car. As we are bringing a dog, we can either stay with them in the car or hire a kennel.
You have to complete an exemption form if you want to leave your pets in the car. Otherwise they are in a provided crate. Feed them several hours before going on board as they will be in the crate or car for 10 hours plus.
But did you actually fall asleep? I personally have never been able to, and the next morning the conversation you hear as you are waiting to access the car decks is most people don't ,but I still like taking my own car. 👍
My family and I were all able to sleep for at least 6 hours, I guess it depends on weather conditions and your ability to block out external distractions. If you find it difficult to fall alseep, consider earplugs, since there is a bit of vibrational noise.
I slept like a long after having an all day drive from SA. Only woke when the loudspeaker announced drivers to go to their cars. And I don't like boats normally
Josh put the price up so people know what they are going to gouged for. You omit costs and difficulty in the booking. so inaccurate fake review FAKE FAKE FAKE

Nice presentation, Which camera did you use for filming this video !!

I already live in Tasmania (ten minutes from Devonport)
When was it shifted to Geelong? Might make the ship trip shorter but harder to get to and from.
Wonder what it did to ridership.
Thanks for video. Interested to see new facility at Geelong
Thanks for the vídeo. ❤
No worries, thanks for watching;
Going to love your run down when they get the New fleet ,,
Thanks
That ship is literally made from the other side of the hlobe in Finland 1998
Well presented Josh
Thank you very much!
Moving the terminal from convenient, central Melbourne to more remote Geelong will prove to be a mistake.
Well done.
Thanks!
Thanks!
thank u
Is cooked food allowed on ship as I am thinking to cook some food like lunch for my children?
So long as its fully cooked and packaged I dont think it will be a problem.

I wonder if they allowed pets on board?
THAT TRAIN BE LOOKIN LIKE THOMAS THE TANK ENGINE 💀

Unfortunately you cannot stay inside your car, so the kennel is the way to go.
The dog can stay in the car but you cannot
