Thanks for a detailed view of the ships services and accomodation. I will be travelling on her next year in January and returning early february. I am going to take a private cabin.
What are you talking about not getting out of your car while you wait, in Geelong they have a building with cafe and toilets that you can use and can get out of your car to do so while you wait to board.
Interesting question. I didn't see a motorcycle on that day not a separate lane, so I guess you just queue in the same line. I think you still need to buy a ticket for your motorbike too. I would suggest giving them a call about it.
Have used the ferry a couple of times, but probably wont again for the forseeable future due to their EV policy. They allow EVs on board and claim to have "special arrangements for them" There have been enough cases of EVs catching fire while parked for me not to want to be in the middle of Bass Strait when that happens. Nobody has an answer to EV fires apart from letting them burn out and staying clear of the very toxic fumes. Periodically the ferry has a very rough crossing and vehicles shift and get damaged. Not common but it happens. Adding EVs to that mix is just asking for trouble.
More then very good.
Agree!

Very helpful video, when boarding on a motorcycle is there a separate lane or do you queue with the cars? Thanks

A bit of local knowledge for you - even though is is spelt "Gee-long" it is pronounced "Ja-long." 😉
Many thanks for it. Ja-long is beautiful & calm. We spent half a day wandering around.
Thank you for detailed video. So for night you don’t need to pay for recliner?
No, you don't have to pay for recliners.
It is not from Melbourne, instead Geelong
Yes correct. But for people from other states , saying Melbourne is a bit easier to get.
Tourist from overseas won’t know where is Geelong, so it is better to mention Melbourne.
@@Prince077Aussie yes, I thought so too, easier to visualise the trip :)
Just say Vic? 😀
Also geelong in not a coastal town in on port Phillip bay
