I have an even bigger regret I got that set on my birthday and put it in front of my Lego City where it towed over all my other builds but then I slowly kept talking off pieces brick by brick then I just destroyed it I 7 years old at the time and i built a restaurant that was real but my building was grey and the real building was black so I Drew on a lot of the big bricks with permit Marker now I try to rebuild the set but it took me 2 weeks just to build the entrance and even worse when I build stuff the remains of that set are most of the bricks I use and I built an amazing tower as if it was something from cloud co co land but if was grey and I loved it but then I destroyed it so I could rebuild the arkum asilum and that was 2 months ago. My biggest regret was that I could never get that one castle with the mountainous base plate and drawbridge. All I ever got were the tiny sets with two minifigs, a horse, and a cart or tiny dungeon.
Arkham Asylum Breakout would have been a nice set, but I was a teenager when it was first released and my parents couldn't justify the price. And now it's more expensive.
My biggest LEGO regret is losing interest in the LEGO in the early 80's. If could contact my younger self, I would tell me to stick with LEGO, even if I don't find them real interesting at the time. Just pack them away and wait. Trust me, it'll be worth it.
Some of mine are: Pharaos quest, the Scorpion Pyramid The 1966 style Batcave/Wayne manor - Lego Batman The movie theater modular building, Lego creator expert The mystery machine from the Scooby Doo sets
My number one regret will forever be not buying the 10210 when it was released. I was in my Lego dark age, but stumbled upon it online and even hesitated ordering it. I still want it to this day, but it's so damn expensive now, at least 6 times the price it was originally.
I had a couple of these, but by far my favourite Lego set of all time is that Arkham asylum (with the monster fighters castle close behind). So glad I have it, but it's hidden away in the loft/attic somewhere...maybe I'll get it out again one day
I never had a 'dark age', I still have the sets I received as a child in the 1970s. Unfortunately I did go through a long 'broke age' when I couldn't afford to buy any of the cool sets that came out for over a decade.
Biggest regrets: - The Lego Movie Super Cycle Chase - The Double-Decker Couch - Benny's Spaceship - Iron Man's Malibu Mansion - Man of Steel Metropolis Showdown - Death Star Final Duel - Avengers Captain America's motorbike - Captain America: Civil War Tanker truck set with Spider-Man
I own five of those, starting at the top and ending on the man of steel set. Ironic, that the malibu mansion, I actually sort of regretted buying it at the time. It was a dissapointing set. Its in pieces now along with the doubledecker and the supercycle. I regret buying Bennys spaceship as well, I guess nostalgia blinded me. And I own the metropolis showdown multiple times, because I'm collecting superman minifigs. I own all of the other Man of Steel sets as well. xD I bought them back in 2013 when they were just released. Theyre expensive and hard to come by now.

For me it's gotta be the Black pearl set from pirates of the Carribbean. Costs upwards of £500 now and I've seen the exclusive Davy Jones figure alone go for £70!
CutTheKragle I had EVERY lego set from that theme accept for the mansion, but i think id trade them all for the mansion, despite how cool the castle was. I would have trued getting it, but it came out after the initial wave of the sets...
Jedi Knight Jairin Aiki But that is more of a standalon "Adams Family" set and not from the Monster Fighters line. I have it and it's a real gem. My daughter built it though, because Inlove her and can't deny her any wish.
A bit of trivia for 4181. I remember buying this set and there was a bit of controversy because the treasure was not the advertised "shiny" gold on the box but rather the dull gold color as the chalice. Lego sent a replacement bag of the shiny gold if you contacted them about it.
also i got to agree with arkham asylum, this set was out when i was about 12 and i really wanted it, but thought it was too expensive to ask my parents for so i never got it :(
@@Dhfhdhdjsj I kind of doubt Angry Birds 2 will be getting sets because of the declining sales of the first LEGO wave despite the movie being financially well at the box office.
I had a lego dark age, when I was around 13 I stopped liking Lego and moved onto video games, I gave all my lego (lots) for free to one of my parents friends friend. I’m now 16 and obsessed with Lego again and restarting my collection from scratch.
I DEEPLY regret not getting all the Lego System space Exploriens when they were still available. Specifically 6938 amd 6958. I still beat myself up about it to this day. It's not like Lego will ever revive that now. But hey, at least I got the Starship 6982. But man wouldn't it be cool to have a base and a cool rover with it!? Also the Paradisa sets. Lots of unique parts and assemblies in those even though they looked girly to younger me. Yes, I was and still am an idiot. Finally, the older Lego Technics with the Technic Figs in them. I should have gotten that buggy with trailer!
Crazy to believe 3 of the sets listed are ones I had when I was younger. I wonder if I got all the pieces together I could sell them at a discounted price lol
Agreed you really did miss out on the monster fighters haunted house that was an awesome set. I think lego is really missing out by not re releasing some sets like they did with the taj mahal. Some of the early modulars and architecture sets and things like the temple of air jitsu are easy money sitting on the table even if they were only sold online so as not to steal shelf space from their 4000th fire truck.
i agree...lego at this point could now simply have a poll on their site so the people dedicated enough to at least make a profile on their shop can vote on it, and they they can just start with rereleasing some of their old sets. sure, they would still need to actually restart certain bricks here and there that have been retired as a whole by now, which will cost, but they should not worry about designing new stuff.
My biggest regret was letting it happen that my older 13 year old Brother to break apart my 1989 Lego pirates collection and eventually a large portion of pieces were mixed in with other brick in 1990. Like Humpty Dumpty, none of my Lego pirates collection were reassembled again.
Hello, I really liked this video. At least half of those i really want! The medieval castle set would look great in the Fortnite animation that I'm going to do because it looks a lot like the buildings in Happy Hamlet. I'll have to make do with building my own set for that! I share your feelings of regret about many of these sets
Yeah despite not collecting Lego in years I still have the Hogwarts castle, the medieval market village, the LOTR sets and a few POTC and Monster Fighter sets built and in boxes somewhere in the attic - and same I also wanted Arkham and the Haunted Mansion back when they were released but never got around to getting them
Just got back into Lego this year. Back in 2014 I was blown away with how good the Lego Movie was and is now one of my top favorite movies! Sadly, I couldn't divulge myself into getting any of the first Lego Movie sets due to financial issues, barely got Unikitty as a single figure. I am making up for it by grabbing the Lego Movie 2 sets now, just wish I had grabbed at least 1 set from the first movie.
I have a few lego regrets of my own...not being able to buy the Portal of Atlantis, the Back to Future Delorean, The Simpsons House, The Stranger Things set, and Lord Business' Office.
My dad was going to get me the Haunted House for my birthday one year but they stopped selling it before my birthday. I did get the ghost train though. I love the mini figs.
I wanted Arcam Asylum and the Monster Hunters house so bad, when they where still in the Lego online Store. I just looked at the photos for hours, but they where both too expensive for me. I have the medieval market and I still love it. I bought it in a Lego Shop and caried the massive set with me on a rather long train drive home, probably the best birthday present I ever got from my father. I also own some smaller sets from monster hunters and pharaoh's quest they where great lines.
Both the Rogue One AT-ST and the Lego Batman Two Face set were retired the weeks I was planning to go pick them up from my local Lego store. I still can't quite believe it's happened to me on two separate occasions. The AT-ST is definitely my biggest regret, though, as I don't see us getting a new one for quite a while, and the current First Order version is just awful.
2007-2012 is when i was into them. I got big into gaming and stuff like that and drop them all. I got back into them in 2016 and have more sets than i have ever had now.
*My Regrets* Scooby-Doo Mystery Machine Lego Movie Double Decker Couch set That old Adventurer theme hot air balloon set Lego Batman Movie Batmobile Any of those Monster sets Also probably a lot more. XD *EDIT - May 22 '19:* Found the Batmobile! Huzzah! 😄
I'm really new as a LEGO collector, but the first set that made me regret not buying were the Simpsons ones. I was just a teenager when LOTR came out, was more interested in videogames than LEGO...will regret this forever being such a big fan of both franchise.
I didn't realize it but as a kid, when I had the cash, I would try to find a $20-$30 set that caught my eye, I didn't really stick to any one theme. Looking back this was one of the best things I have ever done, I now have one or two small sets from several great themes over the years. I'm an AFOL now but I find myself continuing the same pattern of picking and choosing from as many themes as possible.
Me ( in no particular order ) 1-Emmet’s construct’o mech 2-Metalbeard’s seacow 3-Benny’s spaceship spaceship SPACESHIP 4-Unexpected gathering 5-Lego movie ice cream truck 6-Haunted house 7-The Simpsons house 8-The kwik-e mart 9-Garbage truck getaway 10-Lotso’s Dump truck
The thing is, a lot of these sets were around after their initial release for a long time. The medieval village was around for at least 1-2 more years. The haunted house was in stores for at least 1-2 years also. A lot of the bigger sets will usually stay in shelves for a year.
many did...honestly just like the first jurassic world lego sets, those sets back in the day have not been promoted enough and not been on the shelf long enough too.
I managed to get that Prince of Persia set on eBay for about £29, absolute bargain. All I seem to be buying now is sets that I missed out on from my “dark ages”. Great video though, you’ve got yourself a new subscriber!
Thanks! I think hunting down sets from your "Dark Age" can be a bit of a bug. After I finish the Lone Ranger reviews I'm really tempted to try and track some of these down...
Only one I have is the LEGO Ninjago Movie Ice tank. I found it on e-BaY for pretty cheap in a city close to mine, but I told my dad I wasn't interested in Ninjago. Every time I see a picture of the set I feel so bad!
So buy more of the currently unlicensed sets. Lego makes the licensed sets because they make all the money. Especially Star Wars. Personally I buy mostly City sets and the odd Marvel set. Super excited for this summers space sets.
The sets i regretted in getting were the Lego Space Monorail set, the First Lego Hoth set, the FIRST Lego Pirate Ship set, Lego Ideas Deloren, Lego Ideas Ecto-1, ALL OF THE SWTOR Sets, Arkum Asylum, all of the Hogwarts Trains, The Black Pearl, the First 1986 Batmobile, and some etc.
Here are a few of mine: -Anakin's Jedi Interceptor from 2014 -Geonosis Clone Trooper Battlepack -Doctor Strange's Sanctorum thing for $30 -Lego Movie Double Decker Couch -Lego Movie Getaway Glider -Lego Movie Melting Room -Prince of Persia Ostrich Race -Prince of Persia Desert Attack -Every Single Indiana Jones Set -Every Single LOTR and Hobbit Set
Biggest regret has to be missing out on the entire original Lego Batman line from 2006-2008. I only ever got the two smaller sets with Killer Croc and Mr. Freeze, but I always wanted the others. I had a few chances of getting the Batmobile, Batwing and even the holy grail 2006 Batcave set, but I never had enough money for any of them when the time came. It hurts even worse when I heard stories of how these sets didn't sell all that well (this was before The Dark Knight came out and Batman became super popular again), and most of them were on heavy clearance deals. I saw a price tag on a sealed 2006 Batcave listing on eBay that said it was originally bought for $30. 30. Dollars. Nowadays, good luck trying to get any of the sets for less than $200, with the Batcave coming in close to $1000 sealed.

The prince of Persia small set was my first LEGO set I had!
I'm really new as a LEGO collector, but the first set that made me regret not buying were the Simpsons ones. I was just a teenager when LOTR came out, was more interested in videogames than LEGO...will regret this forever being such a big fan of both franchise.
Power miners, older ninjago and that's it and I had one of the prince of Persia sets oh and pharos quest and monster hunters I definitely looked at
power miners OMG
I know of several sets I have regrets not getting: Toa Mata Nui, Tuma, The Scorpion Pyramid, Vampyre Castle, and The Battle for Ninjago City
I always wish i had one of those old ninjago sets, or mid-2000s advanced models sets
I had all the pharaohs quest sets 😁
Me ( in no particular order )
1-Emmet’s construct’o mech
2-Metalbeard’s seacow
3-Benny’s spaceship spaceship SPACESHIP
4-Unexpected gathering
5-Lego movie ice cream truck
6-Haunted house
7-The Simpsons house
8-The kwik-e mart
9-Garbage truck getaway
10-Lotso’s Dump truck
I take it you want most of the sets from the LEGO movie
They need to bring back classic style medieval sets they could add Asian and middle Eastern style buildings that would be great for me
The thing is, a lot of these sets were around after their initial release for a long time. The medieval village was around for at least 1-2 more years. The haunted house was in stores for at least 1-2 years also. A lot of the bigger sets will usually stay in shelves for a year.
I missed out on so much of the lord of the rings sets. Gutted.
Literally, the only LEGO Lord of the Rings I have are the Dimensions stuff and a polybag I got from a newspaper... :'(
Got some of them, but i have all the Hobbit sets.
many did...honestly just like the first jurassic world lego sets, those sets back in the day have not been promoted enough and not been on the shelf long enough too.
Wish i got them too. I have moria, black gate and gandalf arrives but im still beating myself up over not getting helms deep
The Shield Helicarrier
Most of Castle 2007 and The Lord of the Rings The Orc Forge set.
4:19 and you can never have too many boats!
I've had a dark age. Sadly it was during the Hobbit and Lord of the rings sets.
Same :(((
My biggest regret is the taj mahal from 2008.
Lord of the rings Legos came out during my dark age and all I got was the Frodo Gandalf set. I wish I got them all to this day :(
Only one I have is the LEGO Ninjago Movie Ice tank. I found it on e-BaY for pretty cheap in a city close to mine, but I told my dad I wasn't interested in Ninjago. Every time I see a picture of the set I feel so bad!
I have the pirates of the Caribbean set and it's one of my first
I hope they make a western line of sets soon
We need some unlicensed sets... Please LEGO!!!!!!! 😅😅😅- good video.
For me its the UCS batmobile :/
Here are a few of mine:
-Anakin's Jedi Interceptor from 2014
-Geonosis Clone Trooper Battlepack
-Doctor Strange's Sanctorum thing for $30
-Lego Movie Double Decker Couch
-Lego Movie Getaway Glider
-Lego Movie Melting Room
-Prince of Persia Ostrich Race
-Prince of Persia Desert Attack
-Every Single Indiana Jones Set
-Every Single LOTR and Hobbit Set
My biggest Lego regret is collecting Ninjago from 2011-2013. Should’ve stuck with Star Wars.
