    Keep that beard growing man! Also on the serial killer journal thing; I just finished up one of my dream journals and as I filed it away with the others, my girlfriend caught a glimpse and was so confused as to why I keep them. What? I'm going to burn the last 8 years of dreams I've had? xD

      @Jews Fear The Samurai how in life has this chasing dream manifested itself over the last year ?
      Did you marry, switch careers, confront a life long challenge ? Resolution ? Ok obviously TV/game imagery influence maybe returning to adolescent scenario needing resolution, did you find it ? Or did you realize the symbolism regarding this, and apply it to your adult life ?

      Stephanie Payne but at that time of waking up from sleep i struggle a bit and fall back to sleep after checking my phone. . . . That's when i overslept 1 hour and i see cluster of dream ,as if I'm half awake . . Perhaps its ideal time for lucid dreaming,when u r tired enough to get up. . Recently i had almost a lucid dream experience, i was spending time with my old high school friends i vividly remember. . . I was about to play owl city fireflies in piano before them. . And i was unable to play bcs it turned into gaming keyboard I seriously enquired myself, wtf. . What is this? Its not real. . I remember the figure induced reality check by then. .but I don't remember clear enough, but I'm sure i got more pretty awake ..

    I believe I used to have lucid dreams many years ago. At least i think I did because I was aware of the fact that I was in a dream. I don't seem to have them anymore and I assume it's because I am addicted to sleep meds. I started them about the age of 30 and have just never been able to stop.

  • @ILive2Rescue

    The main reason I want to learn how to lucid dream is because the large majority of my “dreams” are actually nightmares, and always have been since I was a young child; and frankly, I’m sick of them interrupting my sleep. Once I have a nightmare, I can’t go back to sleep for at least an hour or the nightmare will continue, and continue, and continue forever until I get up and stay up. I’m not having night terrors, but when I wake up, I am so terrified that I walk around my house with my dog and my gun, even though I understand my fear is irrational.
    The fact that my dreams happen anywhere from 10-45 minutes after falling asleep (most happening closer to the 10-20 minute mark) makes it *very* difficult to get _ANY_ sleep, much less a “good nights sleep” (whatever that is).
    I still don’t understand why my nightmares happen so quickly after I fall asleep, obviously before I have a chance to get to REM sleep.
    If anyone has any advice, I’d greatly appreciate it. 🙏

      Are you a veteran by any chance or did you contract PTSD somehow?! Are your nightmares related to traumatic experiences? If yes, you've got flashbacks, not exactly nightmares.

    That explains why I've been able to breath under water only in a dream. Is there more that meets the eye though? Like once I become more predominant in my dreams; is it possible to in a way "reconstruct your mind from the inside" or create a place that we can always go back to? Is it possible to design a maze in concious reality the same way we see in Inception?

    You might have wanted to add a totem to this because it helps a lot. It's something you always keep on you and works very similarly to a reality check. Only thing is that with a totem, you need to truly believe that the unexpected will happen for it to work. My totem like figure is a yugioh card that I selected randomly. I constantly check it and I know that if I ever see the card that I'm dreaming. My way of using this is I visualise and believe that I have a certain yugioh card in my hand and if the face down card appears as the card I was thinking of I know I'm dreaming. If you've ever watched inception you'd know the basics of the totem used. It's best to use something you're most comfortable with. If you prefer using a coin and flipping it expecting it to land standing up then do that instead

    Wow thanks for the video. Can I use lucid dreaming to help myself get over someone or something? I've read its possible to talk to your subconscious while dreaming lucid.

    • @breisenkeller1687
      @breisenkeller1687 7 лет назад

      Aakash I'm not Giz, but yes. Lucid dreaming can help you grt over deaths, breakups, phobias, and others. It helps you let go and realize that (if a phobia of spiders for example,) that they are not a threat. For talking to your subconcious mind. This is a real thing in which you can accomplish in the dream by either sitting in front of yourself or looking at yourself in a mirror. Once you do that, you can talk to yourself, and since in a dream, it is your subconcious mind in which makes the answer to what you said or asked yourself. Good luck with your dreaming!

      Krystal lol. In my opinion it's always best to assume you are dreaming. Even if you're not.... unless you are crazy psychopath who thinks they are in a dream constantly.... but normally just say "am I dreaming? What did I do 10mins ago, ect." Answer you're own questions. You can say "no, I'm not dreaming" but I wouldn't recommend that... I was in a dream and something told me to do reality check. I asked my self if I was dreaming, and I told my self. "It's to good for this to be a dream, there is just no way I'm inside a dream, the visuals and the high definition is to good to be a dream" lol.

    I keep voice recordings as dream journals. I make sure every night to open the voice recording app on my phone and when I wake up I immediately reach for it and record everything I remember. Later on, at the evenings before I go to sleep I tend to re-listen my previous dreams from the last couple days, maybe sometime a fow older ones. It's actually amazing (and scary too) to remember every bit of them. Give voice recorders a try guys, takes less time to record your dreams and you can go back to sleep. My recordings are usually 2 mins in length.
