- In today's video I show you how I built my Mandalorian Beskar Armor cosplay out of EVA from start to finish! I build it with my Pepakura Foam file templates. I also suit up and show you the mobility that the Mandalorian Cosplay has. It's really easy to move around it.
I'm really happy how this costume turned out considering it's made out of eva foam. I learned a lot and it I'm happy I got to make my first Star Wars related costume after so many years. I'm still thinking about what I'll build next but I'll share it with you all soon. Enjoy the video - Stealth

Love your ODST men, it really inspired men to build one for myself👍
That’s awesome! Glad you’re building one. I’m going to build the new Master Chief Halo Infinite armor eventually this year but haven’t decided what armor to do next. Also, I appreciate your support! 😎
Oh wow, we in same page now😏😆
I've probably watched this about 50 times now
Appreciate that a lot.
Dudeeee. Me too cuz I’m not sure if I can take this on lol. What’s getting me is the complication of the patterns and even worst the angled cuts on like the chest pieces
It really is great to have you back man I've been going through some things recently and you and your videos is helping me get back into and enjoy pepakura and making things again thank you stealth, This IS the way
I had a horrible 2020 and it wasn’t all covid related. Just too many things happened that caused a lot of unbearable stress.
It was hard to climb out of that dark place alone and come back to making videos but I made it.
So, I know how you feel. I’m happy my videos can give you something to look forward to and offer motivation. Thanks for your long time support.
Since ive already seen the previous videos to this, I just fast forward it just to see the test fit. And im sooooo excited!! I really like how it came out. The lights are a nice touch. I love it.
Hey, you came here, you at least watched the best part of it and even commented. (Which helps the channel a lot) I’ll always appreciate those simple gestures. Thank you 😎
Love your humor! This is the first of your videos I've ever seen and I loved it! So inspired! Thank you for sharing your talent!
Thank you for watching this video. I appreciate it.
I'm gonna try and build this I went looking for cool looking thumbnails and when I saw yours I said to myself this is the video and I'm gonna start getting everything tomorrow so thanks for the video very helpful and inspiring 👍😎
Amazing video man. Detailed and easy to follow. Plus the links, you are the man!
Thanks Rey.
Just been to our first comic con, am going to give this ago! Awesome job👍
Watching this late bc of the crazy ass storms we had in Texas. This was a great build 👏🏼
Thanks April. Hope you and your family, friends stay safe.
the LED work you did looks sick
The full build looks awesome.
Thanks Wayne. 😎
Looks fantastic man. Great series!
Glad you liked it. Time to move on to something new. 😎

Thank you, my friend. 😎
Phenomenal job! Came out fantastic. Well done! :)

Thanks. Will do. Can’t wait to start my next project. 😎
@@Heroesworkshop looking forward to it! :D
Big fan from years ago. Nice tutorial. Keep up the incredible work bud!
Will do. Also thanks for the long time support. It’s nice when the OG’s still comment. Makes my day. 😎
@@Heroesworkshop still remember your epic Iron Man and War Machine stuff from years ago. Awesome!
The classic builds. Those were fun times.
awesome video !
Thanks. Glad you liked it. 😎
Thanks for sharing. Very helpful, subscribed and liked! Will be looking for more of your videos soon.
Oh I also noticed you are a fellow Canadian! Hello from BC Canada!
Hello and welcome! 👋🏻
AWESOME!!!!
Thanks Jon 😎
so kewl man
Thanks
10 de 10 !
That awesome🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thank you 😎
what thickness eva foam did u use on this??
Gosh I love this...
Thanks for watching this, Omar. 😎
Yooo looking good guys! I'll have to watch the previous videos to catch up, youtube hasnt been notifying me/putting your videos in my sub feed lately so i didnt know you were uploading again :(
Thanks man. I think youtube is being more serious with “punishing” inactivity. I’ve seen channels with over 3mil subs post a video after many months of being away and not get much reach. It makes sense though. Why promote a channel on hiatus? I know I’ll have to earn my place back into your subscription feeds with old fashioned consistency. Your channel is great btw. Glad your format worked out so well for you.
@@Heroesworkshop yeah man i feel you, exact same thing happened to me after i stopped uploading for like 3-4 months. i'm back uploading regularly but my views have tanked a bit which is sad to see. hopefully both of us can get back in the game soon tho! And thank you, your channel is great as well- best of luck with your future endeavors
Just keep making videos. It’s happened to me in the past. I was consistent and views came back but then I fell off again. I’ve found a good work flow now. So it will get better eventually. Best of luck to you too, bro. 😎
i forgot what the recent 'next build' poll said was in the lead but i hope it was the infinite master chief that would be sick af i remember the old video of the odst helmet + spartan armor and those always look so complex
Hey Sean. I’ll definitely be doing that amor this year. I may do a few helmet tutorials next to change it up a bit before the next Full Armor build though. I actually want to do a specific ODST helmet tutorial as well. As I wasn’t able to cover that the first time. I had built the helmet for that armor when I used to stream live. It needs a proper video for it.
I love your builds. How would one adjust for plus sizes and female builds?
that is sweet i was going to order the 3d printed armor but now I'm making it myself.
I wanted to 3D print this as it was just simple plates but there was hardly any sanding mess from the foam parts by making it this way.
@@Heroesworkshop im starting right now
Excellent!
S0 FREAKIN DOPE
Thanks!
Please pardon sir, not an "airbrush". Rather a "cup gun"; is more durable, way less finicky for liquid sprayed, and very adjustable for high volume and area paint. However, you cant exactly right your name with it. That would require an "airbrush".
Nice job on the suit. Your energy is infectious. Now I want to build one.
What's up Stealth!
Welcome back, awesome vid. Do you sell any of your builds?
Hey Victor. Thanks. I usually sell my one off builds like this after I build them to reduce clutter. For example, I’ll probably sell this in the fall before Halloween. I still need to film outside with it in the meantime.
I put myself into a mess of a situation by choosing star wars as theme for my classroom for Halloween. It's a huge event so we need to transform the classroom completely and do cosplay.
I want to be the best so I'm going to be mandalorian with baby yoda. Since we still need to wear kf-94 masks, this will be perfect.
You can do it!
Another great job Stealth! The armor looks great on you and the mannequin. Did you get the boots? What did you use for the cape?
Thanks Gregory. I ended up getting some slip on brown boots and weathering them with a simulated dry dirt effect. Turned out pretty nicely. I’m moving onto some other projects to keep things fresh but I’ll definitely do more of an explanation of all the parts including the cape as well, in the true standalone suit up in the future that I film outside. I’ll also show how everything is connected, Velcro’d and padded etc for a good fit.
I used an XL Jedi cloak to harvest the brown material for the cape. It was cheaper than buying it by the yard. I’ll add a link to the boots, cloak and also fabric in this video description for you. Check back in a bit.
How did you get the right measurements
Awesome build, one thing is the knee piece you forgot. And maybe a backplate but that’s just being nit picky on my part. 10/10
Thanks. The version I did didn’t have the knee piece. He wears it pre-Beskar then brings it back when starts wearing the right beskar thigh plate. 😎👍🏻
NEW VIDEOOOO!!!!!
Indeed! Last one of the series. 😎
I said it before and i'll say it again - Nice build. Can't wait for the next one :) Any hints? ;) Will be interesting to see the build you REALLY wanted to do
I’m gonna do a few random helmet tutorials in the mean time until I decide and be 100% sure and committed to the next Armor project. I have 4 full armor builds I’d like to do this year. So I have to make sure I at least choose one of those 4 that I REALLY want to do. So I can go all out on it. 😎
Really nice! How long did it take to make from
Cutting the foam to the painting?
Thank you. I think about a month.
How do you attach the armor to the clothes? I’m building my first armor, and the underlying fabric is thin polyester. I was going to use spray glue but I’m worried about wrinkling up the fabric when applying. And I can’t decide between hot glue or Velcro. Any advice would be appreciated,
I used Velcro onto a coverall
Damn dude that sh!t looks awesome.
Thanks! 😎
Gotta get the rifle now :)
Hey man I wanted to ask how did you get the Velcro industrial tape to stick to the fabric, I tried that method with some foam armor to my shirt and it started to come off during the day as I started to sweat
Contact cement on the undersuit and then on the back of the Velcro.
Do you have a link or description for the orange led? Really love your build.
Yes. a link is there to the pre-wired leds
All I saw was for the blue leds not the orange.
With the lights, are you sticking that energizer battery in with them to stay lit?
Yes. I stick some velcro on the battery itself.
Great job! What did you use to make the base of your cosplay?
The base?
@@Heroesworkshop i think he means the brown suit
How thick is the foam that you’re using? I bought the pattern but have no idea what thickness to buy
I used 6mm and 8mm
What did you use to stick the foam pieces to the coveralls?
I used contact cement and velcro
I'ts okay if I use sintra instead of foam??
Yes. It should work if you’re good at heat shaping that material.
Cool =] Did you use velcro to attach your armor on? One of my other buddies recommended magnets so. I'll be getting my first Mando armor costume from him here soon so, and I'll simply be using a coverall for my flightsuit, keeping it easy for me personally :P
I used industrial Velcro. Magnets could just slide around. It’ll be annoying. Unless you can get some decent sized rare earth magnets and secure them to your suit without coming off.
@@Heroesworkshop *Thumbs up emoji* :P
years ago you made a video of what we could use to harden the armor with some type of 2 part liquid plastic. Do you still have that video?
Just to be clear, It was to harden paper Pepakura only not foam armor. I deleted it because I don’t recommend the liquid any longer nor do I build with card stock paper and Fiberglass.
Hope that answers your question.
@@Heroesworkshop Thank you very much. I appreciate it.
How do you make the helmet stay in place? Like do you have any straps or something like that inside of the helmet?
Put padding on the inside. You can glue in foam.
@@Heroesworkshop Thank you!
What kind of glue/adhesive are you using for the construction of the individual pieces?
Contact cement
@@Heroesworkshop thank you! 🙏🏼
Top
Do you sell this costume? I want to buy it
how does he attach the parts (like the shoulder blades and stuff) to his body?
Velcro on the base suit. Then the other side of the Velcro to the back of the armor.
How do u get the armor to stay on??
Velcro. I’m going to do a video explaining. How it all goes on.
Looks so much easier than it is
It’s easy when you have a bit of experience. Build a few things and it’ll click. You have to start somewhere.
@@Heroesworkshop thanks for the encouragement man
How do you adjust the 3D template with your sizes tho?

@@Heroesworkshop oh thx
I know this probably, most likely won’t be responded to but what thickness is the foam?
Wow, I didn’t expect a response, thank you alot :D
I try to respond to everyone. Thanks for checking out the video. 😎
How did you make the cape?
It’s a twill fabric.
Dude, how tall are you? (to re-scale the pep if needed)
The files aren’t scaled to me.
You need to scale each individual part to your own specific body proportions.
It’s doesn’t work by a height scale.
2 people of the same exact height can have different limb, torso lengths etc.
Watch the “Using Pepakura to build foam Cosplay tutorial” and go to the scaling section. I explain the concept of scaling. ruclips.net/video/vRrfclFDiS0/видео.html
what the heck kind of glue are you using? All the stuff I read said "Contact cement" but the stuff I found that said "Contact cement" doesn't dry nearly as fast as the stuff you seem to be using.
Use barge or welwood brand or go to a leather supply store and ask for leather glue. 👍🏻
what are the dimensions of the paper you printed it on
Letter size 8.5 x 11 inches
What is that binding material between the foam?
What do you mean “binding material?”
@@Heroesworkshop like the glue in the jar
Contact cement
Whats the thickness of the foam please?
Various. 6-8mm
Minus tools how much was all of this?
I don’t recall. You’ll have to do the math. Sorry
About how tall is this guy? Wondering for scale
Height doesn’t matter because 2 people that are the same height can have different proportions. You have to measure each part for you own body.
can you do guns for the Mandalorian cosplay
I’m moving onto a new project next week. Maybe later down the road.
@@Heroesworkshop ok can you do places
