Hi Mr Beat, A student from Africa, so Not from the states but your content has proven to be an excellent window into the US and its history. Atlanta and African American cultural exports are indeed well known through hip hop and Rap music (I sounded so old saying that). So ATL ALL the way lol. Also, The tune of "Compromise of eighteen fifty" has been stuck in my head! On that would it be possible for you to cover the many compromises in early/American history? Like the dinner table compromise etc, it really shows how little politics has changed in these 200 years. thanks
I am from South Africa, living in Cape Town (maybe Cape vs Cairo in the possible future? wink wink). A very old, yet very young country at the same time. For example: you do know that you are older than my (also the vast majority of the citizens) right to vote which was only realized in 1994. Technically the current country has only been unified and brought into existence under the 1996 constitution. The troublesome hurdles we are experiencing now has to do with things like nationhood, the significance of the past and the inability to compromise- hence my fascination with US history especially in the early period when all of Europe was certain that the US (and the republican experiment) would fail. p.s. Compromise of 1850 is really catchy! I guess you're living up to the name Mr Beat. Thank you for these videos and the knowledge you have brought to the world. All the best in your future endeavors.
I live in Savannah, but I was born in Pensacola. Both are gorgeous. Florida has better beaches, and Orlando. Savannah is an absolute wonderland of history and architecture. Also southern food in Georgia is way better.

It’s a solid state, I don’t ever see the shit on the media about florida in real life, and I’m pretty sure the weird shit that happens in Florida happens everywhere else it’s just not shown or given attention.

Florida is really one of the best states in the eastern us. Many parts are identical to the Bahamas. It’s a shame the American public has been convinced by stand-up comics and internet memes that Florida is the end of the earth.
Florida is the deep south. Born and raised in the Tampa Bay area. I remember the big boom in the 80's and 90's in Northern Pinellas county. But even Tampa Bay is Southern to the core. However due to urbanization the state has a more metropolitan feel to it. Go inland and into places like Odessa or Brooksville and it's like taking a step back in time.
Also a lotta ex-New Yorkers in Florida. You can find NY style pizzerias run by them every now and then with amazing pizza. I grew up eating that style of pizza, and when I went up to NY to visit with family for the first time I didn't notice a difference in quality or taste when I finally got to try the pizza there. It really is a special place. The Florida Man jokes are funny, but it always surprises me when I meet the occasional person who really thinks everyone in FL is like that.
If you haven't already done it, then I recommend Hawaii v. Alaska. Also, once your done with states, maybe you could do the territories, like Guam, the Northern Marianas, Puerto Rico, American Samoa, and the Virgin Islands?
What about Florida and California Lol I’m from Florida and I think it’s the best city in the country the only 2 difference’s is that that they are mountains in California and here in Florida they are no mountains and the other difference is that our summers are unbearable with rain and heat unlike California with that amazing 365 day a year with clear and mostly sunny skies with like mid 70s temperatures which is absolutely amazing I wish we had that here in Florida but otherwise Florida and California are pretty much the same exact thing

Well, neither of them should be a U.S. state; Hawaii was taken over and the queen was locked up (the history behind this is heartbreaking), and Alaska is attached to Canada, so if it has to belong to *anyone* it should be them.
I’m from Georgia and I can say yes film. We have 1 show that is filmed on my families property and 2 movie that have shot many scenes here too. Actually, Georgia is the largest state east of the Mississippi in land area, but fourth in total area (freakin' water). But good video! Far Northern Georgian here, we say Appa-Latch-ya.
I've heard people in Virginia pronounce them that way.
Sorry, but the "Apa-Latch_ah" pronunciation is correct. That's how the Appalachians say it. You're right though in that most people in GA ( at least where I'm from ) do mispronounce it, leading many of us to think we had it right. We didn't. LOL :)

Like the dinner table compromise etc, it really shows how little politics has changed in these 200 years. thanks
Great suggestion for video ideas, and so sorry my jingle was stuck in your head. lol Where in Africa are you from?

Florida is really one of the best states in the eastern us. Many parts are identical to the Bahamas. It’s a shame the American public has been convinced by stand-up comics and internet memes that Florida is the end of the earth.
The Haunting of Hill House was filmed in Georgia. Great show.
Bartow, FL too
Also a lotta ex-New Yorkers in Florida.
