Looking good so far. As I know I'll be getting one (just not yet sure if I'll do a build video), I've started checking around. Found a few sellers, including regular retailers, charging outrageous prices for the kit...but, thankfully, I've also found a few with more reasonable prices, and two selling the kit for only slightly more than it originally sold for.
My biggest 'problem' is deciding whether to get a hex screw kit (to replace the JIS screws), or whether to invest in some JIS screwdrivers. Starting with option #2, it would probably be best of I knew, exactly, what sizes of JIS screwdrivers Tampa kits typically use. I mean, it doesn't make sense to invest in every size if only 2-3 sizes are used. If you could indicate which sizes are needed, I'd appreciate it.
Looking at option #1, which is the direction I was already leaning towards, I feel this is the "better/smarter" option (and the direction I've gone with the previous Tamiya kits I've built...well, except for the TD4 Super Avante & XV-02 Pro, body of which came with hex hardware). Also, as I'm not sure how many more Tamiya kits I'll actually end up building, combined with the fact that Tamiya appears to (finally) be switching to hex hardware for all new kits (by 'new', I mean truly new, not re-res), I'm not entirely sure purchasing JIS screwdrivers would be a 'wise ' investment.

For me the kit I have listed is cheap and they work great I use the smallest and the next one up but not sure what the exact sizes are but I have lots of tamiya kits so would be far more expensive to keep buying hex kits than the price of the JIS driver's :) hope that helps

@@WTFRCCars Thanks...on both counts. Amazon doesn't seem to carry that specific set in the US, but there are others, including one that looks identical (but is sold under a different 'brand' name). Guess I'll just have to figure out if I'll buy more Tamiya kits, and weight the "pros & cons" of purchasing the JIS set vs future purchases of hex screw kits. The biggest problem (as I'm sure you're more than aware of) is that the quality of their JIS screws in the past have been very 'questionable'. If...and, this is a BIG "if"...they've switched to a supplier providing higher-quality JIS screws, then it could be worth investing in a quality JIS screwdriver set.

For the egress the screws are definitely very different than the stock screws in almost all other tamiya kits I have built so far, much higher quality by far :)
