Without the injuries he would probably be sitting around double digit slams. He was literally a couple of tournaments away from being number 1 before the first injury. He was crushing Nadal and Djokovic and giving Fed a solid run for his money. Delphi is the biggest what if in the history of tennis. So sad.
When Rafa kept saying "I don't want to say I deserve, because many people deserve, but I worked hard to be back and have chances" I think he meant Delpo
@@michaelt8682 True that.. but his backhand will never be the same with his injured wrist... his chance at another Slam is very very slim that's my point
These tennis court surfaces were invented 30-35 years ago. They take a big toll on tall guys like delpo and some others. Size does matter in tennis, players around 5’11” to 6’4” have the most advantage bc they’re not too short and they’re not too high. Delpo is a legend tho.
Del Potro is the only one of two who can consistently hit past the great Wall of Serbia. The other being Wawrinka. But Delpo forehand cannon power is ridiculous.
Delpo gave a lot of work to a lot of people, including the big 3, when he had that sharp right from the back of the court, he punished anyone, he distributed the game very well with very powerful and often accurate blows too, great Delpo, he has my respect!
@@seltaeb3302 you're right, it would be an injustice not to recognize Andy's merits, he had a brilliant and successful career even though he was "unfortunate" to play at the same time as Roger, Rafa and Nole, and between us, for everything he did for the sport, I think he deserved to have won more than he did.
Without injuries he could easily have prevented one or more of the big three from being at 20/21 right now. He was on course to threaten them before several injury setbacks and especially raised his game during big matches in the majors.
If he had not been injured half of his career. He would have won 3 to 5 slams and several masters. Unlike overhyped next gen( Sinner and Alcaraz are exceptions) , DelPo was a real deal
If he wasn't injured so much, he probably would have won more slams. His forehand looked like it could rip through space and time itself.

@@Hvmpydvmpty True, also he would've been the one occupying the position of "big 4" instead of andy

Yeah you are correct
@@Hvmpydvmpty Andy Murray too.
Loved that forehand... one of the best ever... world class forehand. Shame he got injured so much... woulda had at least 4-5 Slams
hes not done yet! hes just confirmed two tournaments this year

@@shaunbures7557 m
His forehand was monstrous I wish he’d avoided injury he def could’ve won multiple slams
Del potro's forehand and Stan's backhand 🤩
This is the perfect combination!!
I can't wait to see delpo back man! It's been so long. Just seeing him out on a court is enough for me to be happy.
The new generation never experienced the angry Del portro
You gotto admire Djoker's baseline defense..What a beast!
Solid grinder
I'm going to miss this guy and his powerful games
Hope he can win another slam or at least a master 1000. He deserves that.
It would be amazing, sadly it is very unlikely to happen
Nobody deserves anything unfortunately
Its tough now but I hope you are correct
I think he was announced retirement
@@Rajesh-hk3ze yeah, i saw that too

He was one of the best. Unfortunately he had many injuries which screwed up his career.
I adore the forehands of Del Potro and Soderling, specially Del Potro
Yess
I can’t wait to see him back
:')
He retired man....never come back again
@@nguyenkenny3199 He recently said he's still open on the possibility of a return
My favourite tennis player. I hope that he will be able to do at least another great season before the end of his career.

Big 4..

This play style of Del Po would have countered Sinners game perfectly
Shouldve included when Djoko kicked the clock lol
tremendo drive paralelo , un grande Delpo !!!!!!!!
We miss you Delpo.
He is coming back!
Love seeing Del Porto playing forehand
Come on Delpo! Give us at least 2 more seasons without injury 😭
Del Potro is my guy anytime
Me too💪🏼
Volveee delpooooo!!!
I love NDj.Great player.
He's the one who would made the big 3 into the big 4. The one who can break novak's defence .

Delpo 😭❤
Best forehand in the entire tennis world!!
Insane rally
That kick from djoko after the point missing 👏
That’s not forehand . That’s a 🚀 rocket
The real hammer.
Love del potro
Can't wait for him to be back! :D
I miss the healthy del potro than never happened
DELPO éternel.. .❤
The Delpo Hammer
Grande Delpo, con ver esa DERECHA un rato ya me alcanza.
Delpo, Delpo...
You show this clip and not show Djokovic kicking the clock? That’s the best part!
@Stefan Jovanović What's that gotta do with my comment
Top tier forehand
GOAT vs Djokovic
And a useful backhand too
Lastima las lesiones, si no llega a ser por esa, el Big 3 sería otra cosa 🥇🥇🥇🥇
When Thor's hammer comes down.. The Point is Over!!
Should’ve been right up there with Andy and Stan as the best human tennis players of this century.
Stay tuned for his return in Argentina Open tournament

Makes you wonder without the injuries he had throughout his career (wrist) how much more dominate it could of been!
Good ol drunk Nole times xD
Are his injuries related to the forehand striking at all?
When he swung those meat hooks 💀
Equivalent to Thor's Hammer Lightning
When djokovics backhand explodes...
Delpo forehand vs Wawrinka backhand equal unstoppable force vs unstoppable force
Grande del po
Del you made tennis look so easy, actually it's not that easy...
it was the exact match, where Novak's shots were unorthodox and weird.
Del Potro great, but the commentator feels annoying in the end
its always the opponents fault why their opponent hurt them with next shot
Wasn’t this the day of drunk Novak?
You haven't seen Gonzalez
I missed that Forehand. More like a ninehand.
I'm so sad for Juan Martine right now
Del was super...
But .....
NOVAK IS THE BEST....
ALWAYS ♥️♥️♥️
🤮🤌
Novak iz The most 9
Prima del ritiro si è tolto la soddisfazione di aver battuto sia Federer che Nadal e Djokovic!
He's retired now :(
Hmm noticing a lot against Novak lately by tennis tv
Only the points maybe not
Anything around?
Explodes ... And then, he lost this match
Del potro forehand is miles better than Rublev forehand?
Nah not chasing that forehand down joker
Tennis getting unlistenable with all the fake grunting
Unlucky talented player
