    Starting around the age of 30 years old, men's testosterone levels will start to drop between 1 to 2% per year. For some men, it's dropping faster, that being said, you cannot control getting older but you can control or adjust some testosterone killers.
    Chronic stress. Stress can reduce testosterone levels due to increasing cortisol levels that inhibit testosterone production. You need to manage stress. You shouldn't drink or smoke or do other self-destructive things which will also perpetuate the problem. Choose healthier alternatives such as exercising, meditating, or doing yoga.
    Lack of sleep. If you're getting around 5 to 6 hours of sleep at night, you're testosterone is reduced by about 15 to 20%. Shoot for between 7 to 9 hours of sleep per night. Focus on your sleep and make it a priority.
    High body fat percentage. Obese men have testosterone levels 50% lower than non-obese men. Excess body fat converts testosterone to estrogen.
    Dad bod. Research demonstrates that excess fat in the midsection including love handles could contribute to 20 to 30% lower testosterone.
    Crappy diet. Certain foods will drop testosterone such as dairy and soy. Do not eat a diet that is high in saturated fats or salt. Make sure you meal prep to prevent poor diet performance.     Excessive alcohol consumption. Drinking alcohol can damage your Toasties and mess with the endocrine system. If you drink more than two drinks a day, you can reduce your testosterone level by 30 to 40%. Beer is made of hops which is a Fido estrogen. The more you drink, the higher your estrogen and the lower your testosterone.
    Sedentary lifestyle. Men's testosterone levels will not be where they could be if they are not exercising. When you lift weights it will stimulate a man's testicles to produce more testosterone.
    Smoking. Smoking is one of the worst things for your body. It also affects testosterone levels. Smoking weed will affect your sperm and your testosterone as well. It also increases body fat and is bad for your testosterone level.
    Endocrine-disrupting chemicals. The biggest offenders are grooming products such as body washes, shampoos, and moisturizers. These can lower your testosterone level. Plastic water bottles are also a bad offender. The BPA in plastics can leach into water or beverages and can mimic estrogen which disrupts the endocrine system. This, in turn, makes testosterone robust.
    Deficient in micronutrients. To maximize testosterone levels, vitamin D is needed. Also, zinc is essential. If you're deficient in either one, it can wreak havoc on your testosterone production. Supplement with both.

      Start stretching to get some physical activity and change your nutrition plan to the goal you want to maintain. Diets are temporary, but nutrition plans take commitment and last without giving you any real health problems from malnutrition. If you want you can also walk 10,000 steps or try to walk as much as you can daily it’s a great way to stay in shape while not running. I hope you achieve what you’re aiming for and more!

      Not to be an asshole but dude 40 lbs? I wish I was only 40 lbs over weight I can drop that in two months. Get that shit off while it's easy to. I kept saying gotta lose weight gotta lose weight now I'm 156lbs over weight. I'm just starting now to lose weight and am down 15 in three weeks. So come on brother, you'll lose 40 lbs relatively quick. The faster you get started the faster you'll reach your goals.

    So anyways.. you are 100% misinformed about plastic. First, BPA is not in most plastics, it’s in ONE plastic… Polycarbonate. It is the monomer used to make it. Polycarbonate is what bullet proof glass is made from. Unless you are paying $150 for a water bottle made out of polycarbonate, there’s no BPA in it. Most plastic bottles that water and pop go in are made from PET (no BPA in there). Your carry around durable water jug would be made from polypropylene or polyethylene.. and again, no BPA.
    Second, BPA is known to a “psuedoestrogen”.. it mimics the effects of SERMs. Males take serms, usually clomid or enclomiphene has HRT alternatives to Testosterone and for increased fertility. They work by blocking estrogen at the hypothalamus, which then signals the HPTA axis to produce more testosterone. So actually, BPA would be far more likely to increase testosterone than lower it.
    To this I’d like to add.. I have 2 bachelors degrees. 1 in Cellular and Molecular Biology, and 2 in Plastic and Pilymer Engineering.
    The more you know 🤷‍♀️

    Stress will drop your testosterone but relaxing will drop your testosterone. If you add all of the % drops in testosterone he talks about I have -15 % testosterone.
    I love how he talks about how if you don't get enough sleep it's going to drop your testosterone but if you do get enough sleep it's going to jack up your testosterone and that is not true.
    all of these pieces of advice he is giving us have to do with the reduction of a base level.
    These suggestions can only stop the reduction of your testosterone.
    None of these suggestions boost testosterone like he says they do.
    Using the advice he gives here the best you can hope for is to not lower your testosterone from your base level.
    There are lots of things you can do to boost your testosterone but none of them are in these suggestions.

    These are important things for health, but there is absolutely no evidence that ANY level of testosterone or testosterone receptor sensitivity within the "normal range" will make any difference to health or physical performance. Even being at the very low end of the normal range has the exact same physiological effects at being at the top. So without specific symptoms, I don't care what my blood serum levels are, especially considering faults in testing accuracy.
