5:05 - Chris Poland is a fucking god. He's probably the only guy that can take those fusion licks and apply them so perfectly in a thrash metal context. There's just the right amount of those old blues elements in there too. He's so criminally underrated.
The drumline on this. Holy fucking shit. Such a majestic song altogether. Insanely cool guitarsolos and riffs, controlled cool drumline and a bass to take it all together. Fantastic.
Holy fuck I NEVER knew that. What an amazing instrumental this would have made. Kind of a response to Call of Ktulu and any other amazing metal band's previous instrumentals. Damn this one is near the top
@TheScabbleGabble You just need to scrunch your voice and add a rasp when singing. You might not sound exactly like Dave, but I bet you'll sound better than him...lol
LYRlCS :3 🤘🏽 Hey, I don't feel so good. Something's not right, Something's coming over me What the fuck is this? Killer, intruder, homicidal man If you see me coming run as fast as you can. A bloodthirsty demon who's stalking the street I hack up my victims like pieces of meat. Blood thirsty demon, sinister fiend, Bludgeonous slaughters, my evil deeds. My hammer's a cold piece of blood lethal steel, I grin while you writhe with the pain that I deal. Swinging the hammer, I hack through their heads, Defiant defiler, you're next to be dead. I unleash my hammer with sadistic intent. Pounding, surrounding, slamming through your head, yeah! Their bodies convulse in agony and pain. I mangle their faces 'til no features remain. A blade for the butchering, I cut them to shreds. First take out the organs then cut off the head. The remains of their flesh now sop under my feet. One more bloody massacre, the murder's complete. I seek to dismember, a sadist fiend. And bloodbaths are my way of getting clean. I lurk in the alleys, wait for the kill I have no remorse for the blood that I spill. A merciless butcher who lives underground. I'm out to destroy and I will cut you down. But in many ways they are. A lot is down to personal taste. The problem for me is the remasters fall victim to the loudness wars. Vocals get redone. Different drum takes get used. It can overall become too clean and compressed, when the originals were raw, gritty, dynamic, and most importantly, uncensored.
Imagine liking remasters where 1. Digital drums LMFAO 2. Audio boosted through the ceiling 3. Dave's vocals being 8x more pronounced in the mix 4. Redone vocals that are all terrible. 5. Patched in vocal harmonies that don't fit There's a reason why countdown and peace sells were remastered again in 2010/12. The remasters destroyed what made Megadeth special. Rust in peace specifically was absolutely garbage compared to the original mix in every way. I listened to the remasters first and couldn't get into these classics until I found the originals. There's no nostalgia. You just have garbage taste.
@@liamg9334 You know, I don't think that's it. You remind me of those "true kvlt" guys who only like things with intentionally garbage production. The drums are not digital on PSBWB. The guitars, bass, and drums are paper thin on the original and aren't balanced properly. And yes, I hate to break it to you, but vocals are supposed to be on top in the mix? It is the melody? Have you ever listened to music before?
@@maxdurk4624 megadeths sound production for they’re early albums sucks but I still prefer them at full blast over the remastered because the original has more raw and dark sound quality that is more enticing then the remastered overly polished sound IMO but hey you can like the remastered I know I like a few of them more then the originals
The intro solo is so good...wow...I got goosebumps...and I wish this was actually an instrumental in the album.
5:05 - Chris Poland is a fucking god. He's probably the only guy that can take those fusion licks and apply them so perfectly in a thrash metal context. There's just the right amount of those old blues elements in there too. He's so criminally underrated.
It reminds me of "flight of the bumblebee".. the whole song is so majestic and aggressive at the same time. Just incredible
He is insane
The drumline on this. Holy fucking shit. Such a majestic song altogether.
Insanely cool guitarsolos and riffs, controlled cool drumline and a bass to take it all together. Fantastic.
Fun fact: This is how it was originally intended to be, but the record label made Dave add vocals.
Hey_it's_Trev answer the question jerk
Source?
glad they did
wasn't it also supposed to be like 9 minutes long?
Holy fuck I NEVER knew that. What an amazing instrumental this would have made. Kind of a response to Call of Ktulu and any other amazing metal band's previous instrumentals.
Damn this one is near the top
3:03 best riff Dave ever created imo
Imma have to go with the main riff in "bad omen" and the mega riff in "the conjuring" as potential contenders
@@TheScabbleGabble i dont like the conjuring that much. Maybe if you changed it with the main riff from Holy Wars or Last Rites/Loved to Deth.
agreed
Everyone sleeps hard af on the riff in the solo sections of the first half of hangar 18. Glorious riff. Melodic and fkn beautiful.
@@TheScabbleGabble I'll also include the fast riff in Killing is my business. It's even harder than this riff
I should do this one at karaoke some time.....
You realize how dark and chaotic the instrumentals on this album really are without the vocals here
2:01 My favorite part of the song. This is a Badass Riff, reminds a bit of Black Sabbath
The simplest of em all lul
They say less is more
YEAH!! I agree with you buddy, so badass!
The devil's interval
4:08. Best riff ever.
Lol
I agree. I feel like I can listen to this riff forever!
sounds like a chainsaw!!
@@marioskaloudis22 Never noticed until you said that...wow
1:10 i love that solo
me too: easily one of Dave's best solos.
Poland's opening lead is where it's at
@4:09 My helpful tip to play this riff is to go “megadeth ironmaiden” in my head lmao kinda helped me
2:01 this riff is so fuckin amazing like THE DRUMS, THE GUITAR, THE BASS like WOAH
What a fucking dark song, oh man so amazing
2:27 my favourite part🤘🏽
I honestly like the instrumental better
Both are top notch
Yeah, Dave's voice just don't fit in the song well
@@jesuscondom15 man, I can't times I was singing and wished I could sing "paint the devil on the wall" like him. Lol

awesome job on this (these) tracks
Best part 4:07 - 6:46

Without vocals is even better
@noshiro05 you can find full Peace Sells as master tracks in net.
Its amazing how people actually consider the originals better than the remastered...Nostalgia is a powerful thing
I actually like the remixed and remastered versions with the exceptions where the vocals were re-done. Take no Prisoners and Five Magics specifically.

No, I can't.
Yeees!
The song that got me into metal. I thought it was Satanic......but didn't care😂
Sadly the rhythm guitar chords in the intro are almost inaudible :(
I meant in general - not this mix haha.
@noshiro05 you just need to... oh shi~ that's really not that easy :D
can you do one with the original and not with the remastered please
Metallica and Megadeth have the same and only one defect, the singer.
wtf, the only thing i like in metallica is the singer
^^^ Probably the best thing Metallica has is the singer.
Wot mate
What? ROFL Hetfield in his prime was second to none. No falsetto or bullshit. Pure raw power.
I love Dave's vocals back in the day. Hetfield was pretty good until he started to try to sing like a country singer. I blame Bob Rock for that.
