No comment in 9 years? I watch this at least once a month! Thank you for this amazing display of synths...and on Tubular Bells no less. Thank you also to all the players who had fun doing this.
This made me cry for some reason-all those amazing instruments and amazing people all working together to make something beautiful and wonderful I guess...
that was just fabulous seeing all those vintage synths being enjoyed by all the very talented women. was also a nice touch ending on the vintage Steinway...
All those astounding musical gizmos of the 1950s-1980s. It hit me... I was living through a renaissance of sound and did not realize it until it was gone.
You are amazing, you are the NEW WORLD I want to live in! Best interpretation of the masterpiece of the MASTER I ever heard, always with a smile in my face.
I just about live on Y Tube and this is why, every now and again I come accross something very special and this is just that Please do more, you are all wonderful
I'm a father of a 15 year old daughter in San Francisco.. I've spent 15 years trying to inspire / compel interest in her for keys and synths.. I have a studio full.. I think this may be the help iv been looking for to peak some interest in her.. girl power big time.. chalk full of beauty and talent.. how could it not inspire.. thank you ladies!
Fantastic! I'm watching this over and over. The sounds of the different instruments make this so enjoyable, as does the enthusiasm of the musicians. I can't find a website for the Brooklyn Organ Synth Orchestra so I don't know if this was a a one-time thing or the group has disbanded, but I wish they had done more videos.
This is genius, tons of classic awesome synths and great editing and sound mix too...brilliant playing and quite a laugh too..Moog Cook Book type stuff.....well done ladies. Now for Jean Michel Jarre's Oxgene!
muitos destes equipamentos vintage ja estao valorizados, pelo que fizeram pela boa musica dos anos 60,70 e 80! Amei de todo esta cover de um dos fabulosos temas de Mike Oldfield!
@@christianmoya5268 Because that is what the original Tubular Bells song that they are replicating HAD - an MC gloriously introducing each instrument played in the final suite on Oldfield's album. Check it out.
@@christianmoya5268 Not just any old MC. A gloriously-on-the-edge-of-being-drunk Vivian Stanshall of the Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band. Hope you've managed to find it by now. The "original" ending to side 2 of Tubular Bells is also him, this time totally smashed.
Surprised this doesn't have more likes and more views. While it's a bit repetitious, it's an amazing collection of synthesizers, accoustic keys, and various other keys. Never seen anything like it. But some people are just negative about anything involving women, or where the music isn't "popular". Sad. Oh well, I watch their periodically and smile the whole time. Lifelong music fan, synth fan, and fan of women in general

Suddenly bumped on this video again and watched it with a great pleasure, as at the first time. I guess this was a big fun project for all participants.
The... hallway. Onny outside’n ordinary house. 483 bathrooms, each with its own marble washbasin and douche, bidet as it may. But inside and the positions are reversed. A human disease, perhaps, but a disease that Sir Francis Dashwood knew, and knew bloody well. Upstairs, inside, and... a rev’lation! It’s a discotheque. No, no, there are paintings - real! - and look here: a rare 16th-century masterpiece. And if I can scrape a little of it off we find an even rarer 14th-century underprice. Made entirely of tiny pieces of eggshell, this... lewd work has caused controversy in the world of anthropolology... atherpil... I mean an apolog could... well in layman’s language it’s blinking well baffling. Or to be more obtusely, buggered if I know. Yes, buggered if I know. And that’s all we’ve heard from art historians, Renaissance architects and recently revived members of the public: “buggered if I know” This is Vivian Stanshall, England, Oxfordshire, 4 o’clock in the morning, thank you and good night.
I never thought that I would hear a 'cover' of Mike that would stand up to the original. I was UTTERLY dead wrong! Stupendous instruments Talented musicians HOT talented musicians!
How about getting the notes right? The 4th note G sharp should be there , instead the 3rd note should be half a beat later. The beginning of the second phrase you are playing F sharp, G sharp, A, but it should be E, F sharp, A. It would be OK if you had improved on it but I don't think it sounds better. Do you?

I watch daily my slice of tubular heaven
I watch and comment also, all the time. This is my favorite version of Tubular Bells. You are not alone!
12 years ago I commented - & how time flies - Alix Brown - bit of a cool cat in todays world ❤
Not every month but certainly several times a year. It's interesting to discover where some of these ladies ended up.
Plenty of comments over the years. You need to set the sort order at the top.
I have to confess this to be a guilty pleasure that I listen to at least once a month, there should be more classic synth tunes - make a whole series!
Do a search for 'The Moog Cookbook' here on YT! You will not be disappointed! :-))
Guilty pleasure? Why are you guilty about it? It's great.
Every time I wanted to leave, a new girl and an awesome old instrument came on screen. So I stayed and I may watch it again.
The gang should get back together just to create some more magic.
Nerdiest Oldfield cover ever ! That was amazing !
Keep coming back to this amazing version
This made me cry for some reason-all those amazing instruments and amazing people all working together to make something beautiful and wonderful I guess...
This is still one of my favorite videos on this site
I,did not believe i,could love Tubular Bells any more until now. My heart is bursting with love. Thanks Ladies.
If you liked it, you shoulda put a ring modulator on it!
Deepest vocoded line eva!
Not often you run into someone who knows what a ring modulator is and also has a clever sense of humor. Be Cool.
Licks don't lie!
Cheshire Moon
I think they did route the Moog Little Phatty through a ringmod, at least it sounds like that to me.
Ouch!!!
One of the coolest videos out there. Would love to see a behind the scenes video of how everything came together. And where everyone is today.
I'm back. The interweb never forgets 😎
Very Oldfieldian... superb musicianship, creativity and sheer fun. Well done Amy and all concerned.
I sure would have liked to play on this, but then again, it's an all woman cast. Loved TB and played it in my bedroom for years.
Mike Oldfield himself watched this video and he enjoyed it!! I witnessed that moment!
I don't believe you, but it would have been great to believe it.
Cool story bro
i believe it!
this is amazing!!

All those astounding musical gizmos of the 1950s-1980s. It hit me... I was living through a renaissance of sound and did not realize it until it was gone.
You are in the middle of a new one, with the amount of new analog synths coming out, and the resurgence of modular synths.
That is so true of some of us older people.. This was a real treat to view.. Loved it. And of course Mike Oldfield's live videos are great too.
20-20 hindsight - or is it hind-hearing???
Absolutely brilliant, superbly played And so many brilliant synthesises. Thank you all. 🎹

I love the music, the humour, instruments and the artists and have seen it well over a dozen times by now...
this makes me happy on so many different levels
I love it! And I have to buy a synthesizer again. I had a Quasimidi Sirius a few years ago, but I had to sell it.. (young and needed the money.. :( )
Wow... this is one of the cooles and most fun things I have ever seen here on RUclips... Well done, cool "gals".
excellent rendition of a classic.......

amazing collection of old gear...and talented young ladies
If only they had an announcer to introduce each synth!
Why would you want an announcer interrupting the music just to announce what synths they were playing?

Bloody hell this is amazing! Moogular Bells, LOL.
Amazing video and wonderful collection of instruments.......that RMI....wow.
What I learned: there are lots of weird synths, most can be found in Brooklyn; they are played and collected exclusively by women
Hot women. There, fixed it.
What a beautiful performance! Chapeau a tous! Bravissime! ... And what a paradise for a musician ... 😀😀😀😀😀
that was like totally tubular man .
Back again, this is amazing, can't get enough of it.
My most regular you tube listen, been here 3 times today alone.

Your gross white knighting isn't necessary.
Just one man's opinion :)
The fact that you must call yourself a man proves you're a white knight who scares women away
