- Shooting the Bear Montana after a six month hiatus. I misspoke in the video and say eight months which is incorrect, my apologies. The 55# @28” rated bow I am pulling back 66# at my draw length.
Of course you do realise, it's the hat that made all the difference🌟 and as for that poor chicken, what's it ever done to you😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂 awesome video brother🙏
Thank you Big Bro :) I always enjoy your comments and appreciation for my videos. As always thanks for your support. I am really glad that I have met you Shaun, keep shooting cheers!
Oh and , that chicken knows what it did 🤨😡🤣 it had it coming 😁✌🏽
😅🤣😂He's right Handy!!!!!!
I have the same bow but mine is 35#. Thanks for the video, I just liked and subscribed. Looking forward to watching more of your videos.
Thank you James! I haven’t made an archery video in a little while but I plan to be back to making more soon. Stay tuned 😃✌🏽
You were just barely missing it, but blasted it on the last try…..fun shooting today!
Thanks Howey, it was freezing out there.
Hay man I think you did great, in those temperatures and 66# all I can say is bravo let’s eat. Are you getting much hand shock, I have the black version. And I get a bit on mine but I still love it. God Bless Brother
I don't really feel much handshock in this bow, rather it doesn't pull on my fingersling as much as my 68" longbows. The 68" bows sometimes slip through the fingersling and fall out of my hand after pulling the sling so hard it stretches and the loop gets big enough to allow the bow to slip out. This never happens with the Montana. We should try to get everyone who has a Bear Montana and make a collaboration video. That would be cool. 'My Bear Montana is bigger than your Bear Montana... nuh uh, my Bear Montana can kick your Bear Montana's butt'. Shane can show off his broken one if he still has it LOL :) Have a blessed Sabbath Sig Man.
@@HandyL that would be great we could make a Montana montage 😁😁. Hey my Montana would climb your Montana like a monkey on a cupcake LOL 😝 !!! Yes we had a great day in the Lord today. Take care my friend stay in His Word God Bless.
My 50# montana was my first long bow. Im running 10 grain per pound arrows(or really close, about 515 gr.)
I noticed some degree of hand shock with this bow, but only at first. I was use to shooting recurves with a very loose hand. Once i started gripping the bow the way that type of bow was ment to be griped, hand shock went away.
I LOVE my montana
@@daveware4117 I need to get it back out and give it a try again it’s been a pretty minute since I shot that bow.
God Bless Dave.
You would make Arnold proud with the "pump up portion" of this video! 🙃 I have the same luggage hand scale (Or so it looks exactly the same.) but mine will not hold the weight reading ... once I let go it goes back to zero. Mine must be a cheaper version ... I have to measure my bows on my tillering tree and read it at the desired inch mark. Hey, great shot hitting the chicken bud! God bless you as always!
Hmmm.. my scale was sold specifically as being for weighing draw weight. Maybe they just reconfigured a luggage scale, which you have, to hold the weight after pulled and turned it into a bow scale. It was like $12 on eBay. Haha, I have been lifting weights for the past two weeks, trying to add weight training to my archery regimen. I am noticing the loss in my form after shooting twenty or thirty arrows with my horse bows. I am thinking about buying a 30-35 pound Korean bow to train with so I can shoot more arrows with a consistent form without breaking down too soon during practice. Happy Sabbath Big Bro, cheers!
Beautiful bow brother! Good to see you enjoying it. Not sure if I could get an effective anchor at 60 plus lbs. Enjoyed the workout routine, always enjoy the levity your content adds. Have a great evening. Best regards
Thank you Scott 😁. It’s that my Bear Montana videos are the most popular but the bow is a bear to shoot 🤣. Take care brother have good night.
Nice shooting, and I don't enjoy shooting in the cold either. Looks like you are owning that 66# draw to me. I'd be hesitant to sand anything down....but I'm influenced by my experience with the Bear Montana that broke on me. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Shane. There is part of the video that I left out at the end. There are stress fractures forming around the handle. There is a crack on the front of the handle that seemed like it got bigger during the shooting session in the video. I am going to contact Bear after I find my warranty paper that is around here somewhere. I am hoping I can maybe get a lower poundage in exchange for this bow that is cracking if Bear honors the warranty.
@@HandyL I'm sorry to hear that yours is cracking. That's good to keep inspecting it closely, and hopefully Bear will get you sorted out under warranty.
Man your videos always have a good mood🤣🤣 they are never boring you deserve more subscribers😀 I think you handled very well #55@28" nice shooting Brother 😁👍
Thank you so much Brother. Yeah, I don't know why no one subscribes :( Maybe after this video because I am giving them what they want LOL!
@@HandyL It also happens to me that many watch my videos but do not subscribe. In several Facebook groups my videos have already been banned, I don't even know why. But I really don't care just keep having fun 😆
Hi guys😊
@@krausearchery8749 Hey Brother :) Hope you enjoy the show.

I have the same bow and I'm at a 30.5" draw what's your draw length
Used to be around 31.5-32 before I screwed up my shoulder.
Happy now. 👍👍
🤣🤣🤣👍🏽
Nice bow, keren
Terima kasih
If that is a Montana, it must be a very old one?
Bought within the past two years. It was brand new in the box when I bought it.
They now offer the montana in black or brown.
