I have watched a ton of videos about peep sight rotation and this one is one of the most simple and complete explanations I have seen. Excellent for people who do not fully understand the mechanics. I'm not a fan of the dog bone method only because I don't like how they look on the string, but it does work. Well done !!
GREAT VIDEO! Excellent instructions from an awesome instructor! Wish I were there to take classes from you! The best video on straightening your peep sight that I've seen so far! 🎉 Subbed! 👍
Installed a new sight and adjusted my peep height. My peep started twisting out of alignment, like in the video. Took it to my local archery shop to see if he could fix it. Guy at the shop told me the only way to fix it was I needed new strings. I really need to buy a bow press and do my own work from now on.
well in that case the only real method you can use without effecting your sighting is to try rotate your D loop around so that when you draw back your d loop pulls the peep around in the direction you need it . Hold the string tightly and rotate your d loop knots around ( as explained in the video at 8:17 ). Then after your match get it sorted in a press . Or get dog bones or peep aligners installed in the string now so if it ever does twist you can move the peep aligners up or down the string and correct the peep on the spot . I hope this has helped
It only takes an Allen wrench or something as stiff. Grab the string and cables. Squeeze, then put the wrench in your cam. Old way to change strings without a press. Or just buy a press, and do it right.
If you have really good serving above and below your peep you can have slide one closer and try and fudge the rotation. Slide-able peep aligners can also be quite useful for quick and dirty adjustments

Thanks for your comment. Im sorry to hear you had a bad experience at your local shop . If you end up getting yourself a press it will be easy fix .
Thankyou Scotty I learnt heap champ tanx.😅
thanks mate
what if the peep twists during a match or you're outdoors and have no such equipment to relax string ?
