Hey Fellow jackets! Let me know what you all think of this theory! As a further extension of this (decided whilst editing), I believe the paintings in Adams studio are of his mother, who Walter exposed as deceased in e205. I think Adam has some major mommy issues that he was projecting onto Shauna!

Well, apparently the showrunners have said that Adam was originally supposed to be adult Javi but they scrapped that idea (probably because we rabid fans *immediately* picked up on it 😄). So now, he's just "Shauna's random fling guy". Maybe that's why the introduction of Walter. I keep remembering Adam saying (to Shauna) that he has an older brother who is a "super successful colorectal surgeon who has a book titled, A.N.U.S." 😄 I keep looking for that book among Walter's things. Elijah Woods would be the right age to be Adam's older brother and I could totally see him being a colorectal surgeon, lol. It would also explain where his money comes from (I think the steel plate in his head is total BS, lol). I just can't believe that Misty didn't do a deeper dive into Walter's past. It doesn't fit Misty's methodic nature.
Adam being a cult member of Lottie's would totally make sense, though. That's a really interesting possibility. I can't wait to see how it plays out.

The way Jackie's mother would treat shauna in season 1 was crazy
i wouldn’t be surprised if she just heard the cannibalism rumors and can’t help but have a piece of her feel like it may be true. that could be where her resentment for her comes from. she survived and her baby didn’t and she’ll never know if her best friend (who married her bf at the time she went missing) really has something to do with jackie’s death or whatever happened to her remains.

-An Adam/Shauna pregnancy would be a MAJOR crazy plot turn for the show!!! Jeff is on the brink of their marriage as it is, a pregnancy would really push him to the limit. I did not see this coming, what incredible attention to detail on your part
-I second Adam's mommy issues. Something about Adam's attraction to Shauna didn't gel. Married, mother, complicated, not really into it, she didn't seem like a great option for someone looking for a fling or something steady. This fixation makes so much sense. Older, maternal, strong. A relationship with her was a perfect vehicle for his mommy hangups.
Which brings me to.....
-Adam's identity. I was fully bought into the Adam-Is-Javi theory. It was a pretty strong theory, but in the end proved to be false and a red herring. Having said that, I cannot believe that there is not more to Adam than some rando that Shauna crashed into. I just can't. First of all are the coincidences. Second of all, the tattoo. That tattoo is just too much like the wilderness the YJs were in. I think there is a strong possibility that he is from Lottie's cult, but we will see.

I don't think Adam is from Lottie's compound. A few days after Adam was murdered he was on the news as a missing person. People who are a part of the cult already have cut ties with their families and are not able to communicate with them. If he was from Lottie's cult they wouldn't have known he was missing days after he was murdered. I also don't think Lottie would report him missing because that would mean Shauna would be in trouble.

Well, the Cinnamon bread was on sale, per Jeff. LOL, What a weird detail to mention.
That is a great theory, and would line up with what the actors have been saying in interviews about the last episode or last few episodes: they have been consistent in all interviews those episodes go off the rails and this would be off the rails, especially if it is not Jeff's baby. Love the in-depth research and catching of things that might otherwise be glossed over.
------- I am also rewatching the scene where Shauna has sex with Jeff in his car "again" before leaving for the trip and she says if he ____ she " " will raise the baby out of spite and train it to become a killing machine that hunts (Jeff) down"
I don't think the writers would have been so descriptive in the pilot if it was not for a reason, especially in that particular scene.
"out of spite" is not a happy way to look at raising a child, so going back to the wilderness baby we think we will see in episode 6 - this is not something she is having any warm motherly feelings towards.
That "out-of-spite" mentality is the way Shauna seems to approach everything in life.
Yes! I rewatched the s2 trailer yesterday and it seems like all the footage is from episodes 1-6, but nothing beyond that. Very curious, and I bet the last few episodes are going to be crazy.

Shauna didn’t gagged because Callie was making a veggie burger. Shauna did that to alert Jeff that Callie was about to make a veggie burger on the grill that Shauna and Jeff burned Adam’s belongings.
I mean I think Lottie is just trying to live her life, she seems just as traumatized from what happened as everyone else she just might be better at hiding it. I think she was worried about Nat specifically cause of the note Travis left and her being so close to him. I don’t think she’s trying to get the girls to relive their trauma…plus sending someone to impregnate her is a pretty rough plan like there’s a chance she had her tubes tied or can’t get pregnant anymore, and i don’t think they were actually together very long…that being said she COULD be pregnant but if she is she definitely doesn’t know it yet cause we would’ve seen her find that out although I think the meat thing is just like a quirk they gave her character, and the cinnamon raisin bread sandwich thing was supposed to be cause they didn’t have regular bread (idk why they wouldn’t have just eaten something else 😂) I think Adam was just supposed to be a vessel for her to relive her youth in the affair and then trigger her trauma to the point she was fighting for her life…I think the ‘coming into my house’ thing is like she’s so closed off she doesn’t have friends outside of the yellowjackets and jeff so she doesn’t let anyone into her life but she let someone into her house, her safe space, and where she kept her most precious possessions (her journals, also her family)
I don't believe Lottie sent him, although I do believe Adam serves some purpose which has still not become completely clear. It could just be an illustrative purpose. as the affair has brought up some things in Shauna's life and magnified them. As far as Shauna being pregnant, I am not sure what plot lines this will create. The show is still young. But as far as Lottie goes, i believe the only YJ she brought to the compound is Nat, and even that is only because Lottie was keeping and eye on her. The arrival of the other YJ's will only add to Lottie's angst--she does seem to have an idea about what is brewing, but the last thing she could want is having them all there. This is exactly what Lottie hoped to escape. She has believed the horrible past wasn't real.
Being pregnant now myself, there is no way I believe that Shauna’s wildness baby would survive. A baby can’t grow in the womb enough to survive on what, 300 calories a day for most of the pregnancy??
Anyway that is an aside. Great theory for present day!!
I fear that happens too but a part of me is also thinking "that would be such a waste of a storyline." Maybe the added loss will lead Shauna to become more savage or something, but... idk...
I mean if Van can survive being mauled in the face by a wolf without infection and minimal scarring being sewn up my Misting Fing Quigley I think it’s plausible that Shauna’s baby could survive lol.
Plenty of women do this every day. You'd be surprised how much of their bodies would have been reduced during this time. They have no extreme weightloss so it looks as if they are surviving on at the most 600 calories if they are eating the entirety of an animal.
There are women in North Korea surviving the Spring of Death every year 😂
I can assure you the baby would have survived, however the amount of stress would most definitely end in still birth or a miscarriage.

I know when I was pregnant with my son I actually gained 100 pounds I could not stop eating I lost it all during my daughters pregnancy she made me so sick all the time my son didn't they're both beautiful teens now
Tbh I was kinda bummed that Lottie wasn’t a villain in season 2. She was set up so well as the main antagonist in season 1. When we found out she was alive in present day and had a cult I thought she would be doing the same practices of cannibalism

I’m so glad Servant/YJ led you to our channel which led us to yours, or was it the other way ‘round? Regardless, you put out the most marvelous content that I never would’ve thought of connecting to the show, esp when approaching the mysteries from areas of mysticism and Mythology.
Re: the theory that by letting Adam ‘come in her house’ she’s pregnant again, it def makes sense and has an appeal. The cyclical nature of what appears to be happening to the adult survivors, (or what’s being triggered now, and by whom?) certainly lends itself to Shauna returning to the woods as she entered them, expecting an unexpected baby, full of life, back to nature.
That said, I’ve grown weary of PAST Shauna’s pregnancy storyline. I mean, I cannot wait for next week. We need to know the fate of Wilderness Baby! But I’m anxious to see more of what made Shauna the woman who was literally trembling w/excitement and anticipation at the idea of taking a life when holding the carjacker dude at gunpoint, and then fucking thanking him for the experience, lol. I want to see Shauna in the past and present outside of her role as The Mother, the breeding rabbit. I want to see Shauna baring her teeth and taking life not giving it. Pregnant or not in present day, I can’t wait to read and hear what you have to say about what’s to come for arguably our most mysterious YJ character.
I feel like we HAVE seen it already ... Butchering pit girl (we KNOW that was Shauna in that mask) telling everyone "it's ok. She wants us to" before devouring her bestie's body, stabbing Adam, murdering bunnies ... The carjacker was just gravy. Lol, like we could FEEL how badly she wanted to do it. She also started a damned near fist fight with Tai, the night before they boarded the plane and again when Mari calls her out for sticking up for Jackie "a little too late" in season 2 ... I'm actually wondering how this woman managed to raise a human being to adulthood without having child Social Services take the baby away 😄💖
Also...she almost killed Travis in her shroom delirium... And he's supposed to be a "friend". Shauna kills ... Because she LIKES it.

Ok yes, the day after the feast she admits that not only was in not bad or difficult and that she enjoyed it, she expresses conflict around liking it. This isn’t behavior or sentiment you’d see in an innate killer. Shauna is no sociopath or psychopath. She has empathy, she sees the pain in others and feels remorse. I’m interested in seeing how the more ruthless part of her comes tot he forefront and what makes her tap into that part of herself. The killer in Shauna was born from her yrs in the wilderness. One of the reasons we see a flashback to young Shauna when she kills Adam, IMO. Adult Shauna has been suppressing that side of herself for 25 yrs.
@@lizjewelry I honestly think her conflict around Jackie's death was more about guilt. She couldn't handle it being her fault. Shauna is not a woman who takes responsibility for her actions. Just like sleeping with her best friend's boyfriend but not bothering to use protection and putting the whole brunt of the safe sex issue on Jeff

I have a pretty good idea on a few things and I think everyone needs to really take another look at the AQ dressed with the Yellowjacket team jacket and pants on and watch with captions on for all the whispering done inside the cabin!
Also how did Havi survive all that time with nothing when Jackie couldn't survive the night, I know he brought the Queen back to the deck and how did Tai know when Tai #2 where all the tree markers where and eat dirt or wake up way up in trees? Don't forget the tunnel episodes and notice Crystal and Walter's mom both had the first name Carol

Did you not see the scene where it showed the net pulled up revealing adult Natalie wearing the Antlers and net pulled up for a split second pause during her and Lotties hypnosis scene where she saw the AQ shadow last week?

@lamontejohnson5325 the girl who plays young Shanna has a similar voice to operator Kleo Athena Greco in call of duty every time the video game character throws a granade an audio clip is played "throwing flash" and it sounds just like young Shanna when she freak out yelled to Taissa.

It's never been confirmed that Tai is the woman in the tree. That is just fandom speculation. Also Shauna killing the rabbit was a way of subtly saying, by the writers, that young Shauna is pregnant. "The rabbit died" was a euphemism for saying someone was pregnant. An old way of testing to see if a woman was pregnant. It's creative placement of scenes to tell a a story, indirectly. Her killing the rabbit was the scene immediately after teen Shauna and Jeff hook up in the car. This show is full of moments like this.
Shauna cooking the rabbit is a way to show how brutal Shauna is when she is pushed, when she stops being nice and putting on that suburban housewife facade (i.e. Adam). Shauna was losing patience with her daughter among other things and she feels most at peace being that hidden person she tries to hide so much. Shauna isn't pregnant. That would complicate her character and not in a good way. Inhibit her participation and so on. As for Lottie having a cult? She is not the one who has a cult.

Now thinkng... and this idea is probably absurd... but.. What if there was some sort of 25- year deal (offering, etc) between Lottie and the "wilderness" or whoever/whatever is seeking her out and haunting her present day visions? Maybe "wilderness baby" only has a 25-year shelf life, and therefore, Shauna would need to provide another baby due to certain terms of an agreement? Idk.. what a mind F. Lol

Not sure if Shauna is pregnant but you make a great case for it. I do believe he was sent by Lottie. One could argue that Lottie has set in motion the return of all of them.
Nat: Lottie killed Travis and left clues for Nat to trace it to her… the candle wax pattern and the bank withdrawal. Lottie was even spying on her so she had to save Nat from suicide before her banker friend could warn her.
Misty: Walt “delivered” Misty to Lottie’s gates. He supposedly traced the credit charges and planned the trip. But when Nat sent her away he had to come up with plan B. He accuses her of murder knowing she’d get out of the car. After all his effort he makes no real attempt to get her to return and speeds off.
Tai: I can believe Tai’s sleepwalking but I don’t believe she built that altar in her basement. The night we saw her eating dirt she likely caught them. Those bite marks on her hand weren’t from a small dog but from a human.
Shauna: Adam knew far too much about her nature and I’m not convinced on the young stud falls for frumpy housewife thing. Also I don’t think Jeff is who he seems. 👀
Van: Her being introduced in S2 is suspect to me. She was young Lottie’s first devotee. I’m thinking she’s already reestablished her relationship with Lottie and was expecting Tai’s visit.
I love how much thought you’ve put into this! But… if Lottie did all this, why does she seem so surprised that the women are all back when she’s talking to her psychiatrist?

Lottie is a schizophrenic... she suffers from delusions when she is not on her medication. The most impressive thing about how Lottie's character is written is that many of her actions come off as innocent and incidental. She is far more contrived and manipulative. Many like myself believe that she is imagining those sessions.
Jeff was NOT working on the inventory database when Adam came to the house. That was the night he was blackmailing the Yellowjackets and got the money from them.

Big commitment to sleep with a woman for the cause....alot of art for their short time together...how does one get accidentally rear ended on purpose to meet..
In the finale the girls are trying to kill Misty in the 1998 timeline as they run to hunt her and killer her, the hunters instincts of killing develop the ultimate and primitive mode. The travel through the wood gets so intense that Misty falls at one point from being extremely exhausted, Everyone else appears from different places, they got Misty surrounded, Shauna takes her knife out, ready to cut Misty’s throat, when Misty accidentally pushes a bush, revealing a road with a McDonald’s in front of them, all of them concerned go inside, “Hello, and welcome to McDonald's, What are you hungry for?”, the cashier says.
Season 2's main picture the antler queen is wearing red converse, Shauna wore the red converse when the plain crashed and I haven't seen them since also every time you say something about fertility and the mother it makes me think of that damn queen card. But the more I watch every episode like my life depends on it 😂. I think all the girls took turns being the antler queen or it's Javi's friend.
That is a good ass theory and that took some real analysis seeing it in its totality.

I'm not sure what i think about Lottie organizing all of this. She doesn't seem happy to see them in the previews. She seems scared, not like a plan has come together. Or maybe she does it really reluctantly. I don't trust adult Lottie so idk what to think. However it would explain why Adam was just so persistent and Callie mentioned he's not on the web. Why is an artist not showcasing their work online? Adam confuses me lol. He would totally buy Lottie's bs.
I like the idea of Shauna being pregnant. Fits symbolism, fits her role in the group and makes for a lot of drama (poor Jeff). Comes full circle narratively, the past keeps coming back to haunt them.

Thusfar Javi and Jackie have died in ways that at least partially relate to the "group mentality." Almost like there's this division between certain members. Those that are willing to acquiesce to the wilderness and those that aren't willing.
Also, I don't pretend to know what its like but all of those girls had a chance to deal with what happened and instead of doing that they ran from it until it finally consumed them again. Which as a viewer makes it so hard to like any of them.

I loved your bit about their familiars, particularly the rabbit/Jackie dynamic and the parallels to Catholicism (taking mass). Only feedback is that it sounds like you believe Lottie's premonitions are exclusively magical, as opposed to just medical delusions ie psychosis and wanted to ask if you'd discuss the dichotomy there--with the show allowing ppl to choose whether she truly does have the sight or if it's medical or perhaps a blend

I never bought the handsome young guy enamored with the frumpy housewife thing. Makes for a nice Harlequin Romance but he knew her nature TOO well not to have been well prepped. Sadly for him she killed him. I think Lottie is initiating the catalysts bringing these women together after over 2 decades. Which also makes Shauna’s unquestioning husband Jeff also suspect. Where HAS he been all those nights?
