That quilt story made me weepy!! We have several older, sweet, lovely women in our stitching group and we are losing one very soon. It's hard to lose someone that you've become friends with through a love you both share and time spent together sharing, laughing and making memories. I don't get to go to my group as often as I'd like, but I love all the ladies in our group. What a special quilt that is and will continue to be for your daughter.❤

I am also a quilter and belong to a very small informal quilt group. We all have the agreement that is something happens to us the group is who will clean out our supplies. Your story of Ms Kay's quilt really touched my heart. I love seeing all the things you have created lately. I always see things that you share that I want to stitch. Thanks for sharing!!
Shellie, your idea of backstitching the bonnet of the wagon is exactly what I would do. A subtle backstitch will look great.
Shellie, the dresden quilt story is such an amazing story to share…I really enjoy the full show…it motivates me each week to try something new, whether quilting or cross stitch. I feel we can always try something new and different. Again thanks for taking the time to share.
I so enjoyed this video today! Your finish on the spool is darling! I always love to see your beautiful stitching and quilting! The basket pattern quilt is beautiful! I so loved your friend being baptized in your pond. What a blessing you are to so many! I enjoyed teaching bible school a few years ago, but haven’t had a way to do so again. It is wonderful to share God’s love and your faith with the young children. The programs they use now are so upbeat and fun that the kids love to participate. I loved the story behind your Dresden quilt. It is just beautiful and a wonderful way to remember your friends. God bless you for all that you do, and for sharing it all with us!

I made a quilt for my son and my daughter in law. I had scraps ledft over and deceided to make a project bag. Now I think of them and their wedding every time I stitch.

I have a beautiful barn quilt painted by a local artist here in middle TN. I love it!
Love quilt stories! Love to hand quilt. I don’t have a long arm. Wish I did. There were seven of us little old ladies that met at Church every Tuesday morning to sew, knit, crochet, and quilt. Then we all began to move, get older, and some died. Love your Dresden Plate story! Sounds like us.🥰

I totally understand your Miss Kay story. My cousin and I have just sorted through our aunt's left behind fabrics. It is bittersweet but rewarding to be able to see that the fabrics are put in the right hands to be used. The quilts we make from her collection will go to new babies as they are born and to brides and grooms as our family expands. A quilt is a precious gift and so are the stories that go with them! I am glad you were able to finish saving those dresdens. Loved your floss tube!

I loved your 3 friends quilt story. It’s such a joy to have memories of your friends work. We are clearing out my mom’s craft “area”. I’ve brought projects to my house that my mom wasn’t able to finish. I’m completing a quilt for myself that she started and I’m going to finish the cross stitch tree ornaments for all the grandkids for Christmas. Thank you for all you do!!!!!

Love the quilt blocks, they are beautiful, looking forward to seeing the quilt finished, that is such a sweet bag, love the flower addition, how fun fall colors in the quilt, we also have a baby ministry at Church, it is so heartwarming to see how many are donating so many needed items, good idea for the blue squares a medallion is a wonderful idea.

I always took a half day off work for the week of VBS so I could teach and be with my granddaughter - she and a friend went on to teach as teens and college girls and I too treasure that memory. Aren't we blessed

Thank you for taking the time to make these videos. I really enjoy the variety of things you are working on. Just today, I finished a quilt top for the first time in years. it was a nice change of pace from doing samplers and knitting. Loved seeing the new books too.

I did the Pioneer Sampler by Heartstring Samplery about a year ago after I had finished visiting all the Laura Ingalls Wilder home places. I added her name to the quote, the title "Little House in the Big Woods" since that was specifically the book depicted, her initials instead of the stitcher, added her years of birth -life, etc. Definitely one of my favorites ever!

Goodness gracious the story of Mrs. Kay’s quilt got me all kinds of choked up 😭. I have a very special relationship with older people and especially my Mrs. Lovie (she’s 85 and I’m 48). I’m so glad you rescued the quilt squares. That’s story really touched my heart!
