- WiP It Wednesday for Wednesday July 10, 2024.
What's a WiP? A WiP is short for Works In Progress.
WiP it Wednesday is where I show the craft projects I've worked on this past week and hope to work on next week.
I currently go live twice a month on the first and third Saturday of the month at 11:00 am mountain time. I live in Arizona where there is no daylight savings time.

Wow! Your finishing up a lot of projects! I love each one of them. ❤
Thanks 😎
You sure have gotten a lot done....oh, I LOVE those new community blocks. Love those butterflies.
The butterfly blocks are adorable. The community quilts are going to have a fun variety of fabrics.
Those butterfly blocks are so cute 😍, you have got through a lot of projects, great job 👏.
Thank you! 😊 I thought start with the recent and work backwards with my WiPs. Aren’t the butterfly blocs adorable? They would make a cute pillow cover too.
Wow, Robin, you have been really busy. I love everything you have been doing. Love making scrap blocks.
Thank you 🧺
Hello 👋 everyone
👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻
Hi everyone. I'm from Peoria, AZ.
Hi Linda 🏜️
You got a lot done! Nice to revisit the projects. ❤
Thanks! I have a long list of want to makes but I’m trying to behave. Just a little 😉
Hello from Texas
Hi! 👋🏻
The blocks came out great. Lots of projects. No Baskets yet but who knows. 😊😊
Maybe I can convince you to try a new crafty project 😉
Loved your 'strip' blocks - I've only done squares before but my next one will be like yours. Also loved seeing all the different blocks you've made or received - always a cheery splash of colour when I watch your videos. I've only made 3 small baskets before. I prefer most of my stash to be in tubs with a lid, to keep fabrics fresh and to see the contents. We're getting plenty of rain at the mo - I'll swop you some for a bit of sunshine - not too hot mind 🥵 😎
I’ve been thinking that I might get the plastic containers with the lids for my larger rainbow scraps. Use the baskets for the smaller bits. Like you I do like fabrics in containers with lids for the most part but other fabric put in the open. I’m just a random weird crafter I guess 🤣. Im finding that each house needs its own system. Some fabrics being out on shelves etc is a bit overwhelming to me when I’m looking for a fabric for a project. I might need to rethink a few things. It was 116 again today. Still no rain here. I’d love to share a bit with you.
I absolutely love the pillows you made!! I actually made a few rope baskets last year. I watched a few videos on how to make them and was surprised that it was easier to whip up than expected.
Thanks! I used to make rope baskets using yarn by hand. I think I’d like to try using fabric by hand. In addition to using my sewing machine.
I really need to make some baskets too! I'd love to see you make rope costers/baskets. Have a great week!
I’d like to make the jelly roll rug coasters and hand wrapped rope baskets. I find basket weaving type crafts very relaxing.
I have made fabric baskets, one rope basket about a year ago, and one woven basket many years ago. I am looking forward to making fabric baskets for my fabrics to replace the facial tissue boxes that I am currently using. When I get caught up on unpacking and WIPs, I would like to make some more rope baskets. The one I made was perfect for using up those long skiny strips of fabric from straightening the ends of yardage.
I am currently working on making 1" wide single fold non-bias tape from 2" wide WOF (54") home decor fabric strips. I should end up with about 15 yards. These will be part of my outdoor shade cloth project as vertical stabilizer strips to sew ties to.
I can’t even imagine how many tissue boxes I’d need for my scraps 🤣
❤

Hey Robin! Once again, amazing work❤! Yes, I would love to see some rope baskets! What heart pattern did you use on the little hearts?
Thanks. I’m sorry. I don’t remember. I just google heart quilt block and use the one that’s the size I need. There are lots of heart quilt blocks out there but most are very similar or the same.
