- Before you walk into the area where you do the experiment, you meet two scientists who have a short talk before letting you in. However, the scientist on the left is voiced by Kevan Brighting, the voice of The Stanley Parables narrator. An excellent cameo for an excellent fan remake of an excellent game... Pretty excellent.

Maybe cuz everyone hears his voice as the Stanley Parable narrator, so it would probably break immersion for some people because they’re so used to it being a disembodied voice screaming at you

Gordon worked for a company in a big laboratory, where he was Dr. Freeman. Dr. Freeman's job was simple: he sat in the test chamber of Anomalous Materials and he pushed buttons on a balcony. Orders came to him through a speaker on the wall, telling him what buttons to push, how long to push them, and in what order.
This is what Gordon did every day, of every month, of every year.

This is actually makes sense, The Stanley Parable before started as a HL2 mod before it has its own game
It could even be canon or not, That the Office is actually Black Mesa
kind of cool, Stanley and Gordon can team up together, and The Narrator would support them
I buy the theory of it being in Aperture Labs more, considering a lot of the assets for the offices take from portal 2, even in the deluxe version.

This role will never be the same now that the Narrator in The Stanley Parable is legendary. Once upon a time, this dialogue would be taken seriously. Now, I’m hoping every moment he’ll burst out and say “UNFUNNY!”

It's weird because I played the free mod first, and Kevan Brighting wasn't in it then.

I think so. I never heard his voice again in both playthroughs of the game that I have done, apart from this one part.
