    Hearing about Sean "beginning to unravel the map to the Quest" gives me the same excitement and chills as it did then!!
    And the preview was always right!

    This show screened on Ten Network in Australia through this period. I remember it following Santa Barbara and The Bold and the Beautiful on Channel 10 in Perth.

    I always love hearing this amazing closing theme from the now-cancelled soap “One Life to Live”, especially if it comes from an original broadcast recorded from my hometown of Houston, Texas! I wish I could see the complete episode from April 19, 1989 of OLTL (As it is dated in the title), but unfortunately, in my opinion, most episodes of the soap might have been wiped for reuse to tape other content. Such a shame. Thank you very much for sharing this as I am a BIG fan of soaps.

      They stopped the wiping of tapes in the late 70s. There are episodes of OLTL from then on all over You Tube. 👌🏻

      From what I understand copyrights with music used within the shows is one major factor you don't seen alot of them reaired on broadcast TV and streaming platforms.

    Wow! The way ABC staff announcer George Ansbro done this promo spiel during the OLTL closing credits amazed me.
    In fact, he and the other ABC staff announcers such as Bill Rice did an amazing job providing these promo announcements.

      The announcer here is George Ansbro, who was with ABC since 1948 and retired on January 14th, 1990, his 75th birthday. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Ansbro

    • @VaultMasterDBT
      @VaultMasterDBT 6 месяцев назад

      @@ekt8750 Trust us...that's not Ernie. Just look up any actual clip of Ernie and compare that to the voice heard here. The announcer speaking over these credits was George Ansbro, who had been at ABC for decades until his retirement in January 1990. I don't really hear how this was George "struggling" at all. Maybe he spoke a bit slower than Ernie, but this was his usual pace. Also, I'm pretty sure all these end credit announcements were live, as the booth announcers were on rotation all day and night.
