Wow that dog didnt even show interest when he kicked the ball thats some serious alpha training he put down. The dog showing 0 interest to reacting for the ball is akin to when 2 dogs are presented toys but 1 dog lets the other dog go play first to take his choice of toy cuz hes the alpha. This is exactly that happening, the owner is the alpha n the dogs recognized it so they show 0 interest too touching something hes playing with.
The whole "alpha" dynamic is totally wrong. The researcher who first discovered it and published his findings regrets ever doing so. It's the eldest, usually the parents, that are in charge of the rest of the pack, but you should read more into it for more information.
