Hello. Just to correct what I said in the video (I actually corrected what I said in the Zoom interview pero ang nacapture ay yung nauna kong sinabi). Under the old E.O. 626 or 7/11 law (carabao slaughter ban) that is repealed already by RA 8485 (Animal Welfare Act, which allows the humane slaughter of food animals that include the carabaos), “only carabaos and buffaloes that are seven years old or over, if male, and eleven years old or over, if female, may be slaughtered upon issuance of the necessary slaughter permit by the authorities concerned". As I said, this law was very prohibitive bec. only retired and old carabaos were allowed to be slaughtered kaya makunat na or inferior na ang meat quality. Since the said E.O. has been repealed already, we recommend that male carabaos not fit for breeding should be raised and fattened properly to slaughter age of just 18-24 months. That will make the meat more tender and of better quality.

We don't eat carabao meat. They are like family members, specially to us rice farmers who uses carabaos to help us with the farm work.
Hindi namin kinakain yang karne ng carabao dito sa mindanao ..sobrang nakakabinat yan .....TAO KINAKAIN NAMIN DITO😅😅
